This was not your average souvenir shop that you find all over the area. There were so many items that I have never seen before any where else inside this single-story retail shop. There were a lot of artisan made craft items from around the country made of food, soap, jewelry, glass, you name it. They actually make a point of not having anything made in China at their shop. They also offer a few charitable items to benefit some worthwhile non-profits. For such a small retail space, they certainly had a lot of intriguing and interesting items that were well merchandised within that space. If you find yourself walking along Austin Street with their line of retail shops, this place is definitely worth stopping in to see.

Of course, like many tourist stores, it is quite kitschy, but I did end up purchasing something here, a Ginger Sage Mist for sprucing up our guest room. It's been a welcome addition to the house. Also, I found the workers here extremely friendly. Note: I did appreciate the purchase summary breaking down the tax cost to the shopper. They include Texas State Tax (6.25%), Aransas County Tax (0.5%), Rockport City Tax (1%), and Aransas County Health Services Tax (0.5%).

This shop seems to set itself apart from your average commercial souvenir shop that you would find on Port Aransas. Not accessible via wheelchair or stroller, unfortunately. I adore little art shops like this one! So glad I popped inside on a whim. They've got a variety of art from local artists, working in diverse styles. Saw a few interesting pieces and took home a lovely wooden wall hanging from an Austin artist. Don't miss the cookies at the check-out counter (vegan and gluten-free and delicious). The London Fog was yummy (I'm a fan of the drink but it's a cookie flavor I've never encountered). Owner (Danya) was so sweet and welcoming. She gave my daughter a sticker (they're not free) so I really appreciated that. Now, I do need to mention that you've got to climb some stairs to enter. So unfortunately it's not accessible to folks in wheelchairs or anyone looking to bring their baby stroller. I believe owners are trying to rectify this -- it's quite an endeavor so don't hold it against them. If you have a stroller, I recommend leaving it outside and just carrying your kid (don't let them run free if they're handsy -- lots of fragile and breakable stuff in here). You can also carry the stroller up the stairs (the owner even offered to help us do this but it was easier to just leave it). We left our wagon stroller outside and watched my 3.5-year-old closely while I carried my 22-month-old. Worked out just fine.
