Every employee was working hard to help all the customers and an observant person could easily see they were doing their best. A young man named Zalen helped us while managing to assist a number of other customers. He made sure we understood the sales that were being offered, listened to our needs, and helped us find the right equipment. I ended up getting a few extra things that will make it easier on the mountain due to his advice. On a whim, my wife decided to see what they could offer us for her extra board. Zalen continued to provide excellent customer service offering us a very fair price on our board and bindings and then getting us into another board and binding set for an excellent price. I've been going to Pinetree/Idaho Water Sports for a couple decades now and they have always given fair prices and good service but Zalen was by far the best.

This wasn't a legitimate safety concern--it was a reconditioning list used as leverage to renegotiate the deal after the fact. Nothing new was discovered. Just re-labeled to justify taking more money. Be very careful doing business here.

I took my skis into this shop to get them mounted with utter excitment of the new ski season. I…read morewaited about a day to pick up these skis when to my observation of the bindings, they were tweaked to the side of the skis, not aligned with the center, and not done properly. I told them it wasn't right but they tried to tell me it was and not taking responsibiltity was the first mistake. I was frustrated as I just paid over 500 dollars for new skis and 300 for bindings and it felt like I just got a christmas present and it was destroyed for a frustrating reason. I was still forced to pay for the horrendus mounting job as all I could think of was how I just wasted 900 dollars for unskilled and untrusting people to do a job for me. I felt robbed and manipulated after trying again, repeatedly having the same outcome as the previous times and my gear has never benefited from it. I haven't been there since and will never be taking my skis or bike in there again.

Today, I drove 90 miles and was the only customer in the golf department (and almost the entire store). First, a woman named Bobbie started talking to me and explained she was not really a golfer and had limited experience on fittings. Kevin arrived in the fitting room and told me that he had (some kind of) "applicant-orientation" and that he would not be able to do the fitting, however, Bobbie could help me. And, if Bobbie had any questions, he could make himself available for her. I ask him if he wasn't aware of my appointment? And, he said that he was not informed about that. Then he looked at my old clubs (which I brought in) and told me he would not be able to replace those. I said, well - I am here to buy new clubs. We went back and forth on my fitting and his job applicant, and it was clear he did not want to be bothered at that time, but continued to say Bobbie can do it, even though she has never fitted anyone before. Again, nothing against Bobbie - she was very polite - but she was admittedly unqualified. So, I just said I would go somewhere else -- and there was absolutely no objection on their part. Whether it were my old clubs or the job-applicant, it did not matter -- he had no interest in helping (even though I was about to drop $3,000 to $5,000 - whatever the amount for a whole new set of clubs).
