Some of the reviews kinda look fake, but this one is a real review. I'm a landlord and used Rockstar twice. The hard part with serving former tenants is finding them. Rockstar has helped me find last known locations, and for former tenants not at the last known address they'll have the person serving ask some questions (and hopefully get a lead on where the former tenant is now). Rockstar also has people out of state if you need that (if you do I can recommend some good bars to help you self medicate because the process is extra...umm..."fun"...when they leave the state). I'm waiting for my last judgement with interest to get nice and big and I'll be using Rockstar again for "phase 2" of the collection process. read more

I contacted Sean at Rockstar at 2:30pm on a Friday with a RUSH service, as the person to be served was leaving the country. I emailed Sean the documents to be served and service was complete within two hours at a price I considered fair, especially considering the short lead time. Just as important, I did not have to hunt down the proof of service, Sean forwarded it to me Monday morning and even offered to file it. Sean was patient and honest in our initial conversations. Once I decided to move forward, he was quick and responsive. Within an hour I was talking to my server to plan the best course of action. She was awesome (I'm withholding her name for her privacy, but if that's not necessary Rockstar can share it in a response). Searched for the highest rated process server and this company came up first. I shot over a quick email and got a response within hours. This company is on their game! I scheduled an anonymous appointment with the person I needed served (she's a hairdresser), attached the confirmation/location with the paperwork that needed to be given and they fully executed the serve. I did find out later that they would have scheduled the appointment with the person I needed served for me, so that's something to note. I have used these guys a couple of times in connection small claims matters, and would happily do so again, if ever necessary. I particularly appreciate how responsive they are. It is not a problem to get them on the phone, unlike many other process serving companies. That commitment to customer service has made a hugely positive impression on me. So I will continue to use them, even though they are not the cheapest option. (The rates they've charged me for what I've asked have been on the high side of the market standard range, I think.) But I am happy to pay extra in exchange for their friendliness, commitment to service, and contact-ability. read more

Nick even went the extra mile on one for me when the debtor had moved job, HE located the new info and went and got her served for the us well within the allowed timframe by the court. He files all the proof of services in a timely fashion and is 100% professional and courteous. This James character sounds like a person with unrealistic expectations. For two different instances involving the mailing of summons: They make falsified claims of price and service over the phone, and more than double the total amount charged by claiming priority mail only takes a small number of pages so they must use two small envelopes instead a one larger one and adding a 50% administrative fee to each one although they only mail what they are given and the quote was a total amount which more than doubled the cost of postage. They claim that they will mail the items the next day, however they are not mailed until a week later. This is for a legal case in federal court, must be done on a timely basis and that was known by this server. read more
