In 2017 I went on the search for a new primary care physician. Growing up, I had the same pediatrician from age 6 through 18 (Dr. Gold). I remember having such a positive relationship with my pediatrician and appreciated his oversight and commitment to my care. I grew up with a multitude of medical issues; ranging from muscular eye issues to allergies, asthma, recurring pneumonia, Pertusis, Cushing's Disease, and of course every child's favorite reason to be at the doctor's - a broken arm from falling off of my bike! Whether I wanted to be or not, I was a regular at the Doctor's office. When I was 18, my pediatrician retired and told me it was time to move on from the Pediatrician's office and see a "big boy doctor" now. From there, I went to a primary care practice that my parents went to. There was an attention to detail that was missing. At 27, I found myself working for a Government Contractor based in Rockville and began searching for a physician that was local to the office. In my search, I came across Rockville Concierge Doctors and Dr. Adam Possner. I won't suggest that the Concierge model will work for everyone, but, it is by far the best experience I have had with a primary care physician in my adult life. Dr. Possner, and the staff at Rockville Concierge Doctors, provided some of the best and most personalized medical services I have experienced. I recently had a health scare and Dr. Possner took the time to be take a holistic approach to help me. He quickly reached across his extensive network of doctors and healthcare practitioners to meet my needs. These weren't random people he had to look up in a directory. These were people he called up directly, on my behalf, off of his phone, while I was still in his office. Each service provider Dr Possner connected me to worked with him to improve my health. I'm a current patient of Dr. Possner and can't recommend him highly enough -- he's really exceptional. After years of going to urgent care, or seeing doctors for a few minutes per visit, I finally decided to take my medical care more seriously and find a doctor I really trust to look out for my health. I knew he was a great doctor because he came highly recommended by a very smart (and top doctor) friend of mine. What I didn't expect was just how much time, energy, and thoughtfulness he would put into my care. I am quite impressed with the services that I received from Dr. Possner. Concierge medicine is a trend that has been gaining momentum over the past few years, and my experience with Rockville Concierge Doctors has been absolutely phenomenal. After researching area internists extensively, I recently joined Rockville Concierge Doctors to become a patient of Dr. Adam Possner. My expectations have been exceeded. Dr. Possner has taken the time to get to know me as both a patient and a person, without rushing through office visits. Having recently moved to Rockville I was looking for a new primary care doctor. My previous doctor's practice was, to me, the model of what a doctor-patient relationship should be: no 15-minute time slots, no nose buried in a computer screen, a doctor who carefully listened to what I was saying, and a doctor who was exceedingly competent. I was getting disheartened that I would find one again. It was then that I discovered Dr. Possner. Dr. Possner clearly cares about his patients. He spends whatever time is necessary listening, clarifying points, and exploring options. He follows up on issues presented and directs you to specialists where appropriate. I have had a great experience with Dr. Possner and I'm really glad I signed up in the beginning of this year with the practice! I am new to concierge medicine, but I wanted more than what I was getting from the typical medical care model practiced today. Dr. Possner did an incredibly long and thorough physical with me after I first signed up, which included reviewing all of my past medical history (that was compiled in advance by his office from other docs/specialists). I have had difficult health issues for years and been to almost every doctor for every part of the body. Dr. Possner has been the only doctor I've ever seen that has truly made a difference for me. His compassion and concern for the health of his patients goes above and beyond any doctor I have met. He goes out of his way to make sure you feel listened to and cared for. This is especially important for me because I'm 19 and recently became more in charge of my own health care. Joining Dr. Possner's practice was one of the best decisions I've made. He seems to view medicine as a calling, not just a profession. When I discuss a medical problem with him, he actually listens, taking into account my concerns and personal situation. He's very prompt and effective with e-mails, too. Dr. Possner goes out of his way to work with other medical professionals, which can be incredibly helpful given today's fragmented medical care landscape. He's been able to get test results that didn't seem obtainable through "regular" channels, translate those results, and help me decide on next steps. His office staff is also great. I have never felt in better hands whether I am dealing with office staff or the doctors. Dr. Pozner took over two hours during my initial visit to get a good understanding of my past present and interests in the future. He then helped develop a plan so that I can accomplish my goals of better health, better sleeping and overall more active lifestyle. I've been working with Dr. Possner for a few months, when it was recommended I see him given a bunch of complicated medical issues that my regular GP wasn't coordinating with my other specialists. I am so grateful I did! He's already reduced medications that were giving me side effects, I have fewer doctors and appts now, he genuinely listens to my concerns and symptoms and works with me on addressing them, helps with scheduling specialist appointments, and follows up even on non-urgent issues, such as how I'm feeling and some of my other symptoms. Dr Possner is an outstanding primary care physician. He was our pcp at his former practice and we loved his patient care so much that we followed him to Rockville Conceige. Approximately six months ago, my husband displayed health symptons that puzzled me. I called Dr Possner and he immediately examined him, ran lots of tests, and arrived at a preliminary diagnosis. He consulted with other specialists in the field of the diagnosis and they confirmed his diagnosis. Although other specialists are involved in my husband's case, Dr Possner remains actively involved in monitoring his case. Initially, my husband's diagnosis was difficult for us to accept but Dr Possner has been right there with us providing guidance and support. As a new patient, who is a retired internist, I found Adam Possner interested, warm, knowledgeable, patient, and quite thorough. He took the time to fully understand my health history discussing plans to treat each of my ongoing conditions and working with me to find an approach that fit my needs. He is very knowledgeable, curious, and takes the time to thoroughly investigate and find solutions to all of my medical issues. I met Dr. Possner last year. He is by far the most responsive doctor I have ever had. He listens, educates, treats and most of all, he has time for you. Never rushed. Incredibly thorough. I had wrestled with some significant GI issues. You would think that my GI doc would be able to provide a solution. Well, the GI doc's solution didn't work.
