The staff and teachers have a genuine love for children, they have very intentional learning goals and make it clear that spiritual growth is a top priority as they incorporate Christ and God into the curriculum each day. Our daughters teacher was phenomenal at meeting her academic needs and with regular communication we worked very closely to make sure the learning continued at home. She loves school, loves showing off what she has learned and she gets excited to see the staff members that greet her each day. HCA is a blessing to our whole family. My son has attended the Performance Course (to prepare for baseball) that is offered in the Summer and he loved it! My daughter is in drill team (Sapphires) and has also been a part of the HS dance team. She's had a great experience with the Art program and entered her pieces into VASE for the 2024-2025 school year. Amazing feedback from her Art teacher! I do feel some situations with teachers in different grade levels can improve as well as overall disciplinary action for students. The main parking lot at the front entrance of the school gets pretty packed during lunch time to where you have to park alongside the curb in the fire lane. They did make designated "visitor parking" but that gets taken quick. Security is on campus and I.d. is required before entry. Love our pep rally days and how involved the student body participates, as well as staff involvement. Our principal is great with motivating our children and keeping a positive vibe, not just for incoming Freshman but overall for the students. Nurses and Counselors are helpful as well as the front desk ladies assisting with check ins and all student related situations. #DUBEAST#ItsagreatdaytobealiveandagreatdaytobeaRAIDER!

My son just started middle school this year. He has been having a tough time with the transition…read morefrom elementary to middle school but the teachers and staff are used to that sort of thing and have all been supportive and understanding. The middle school is actually located right across from an elementary school so if you live nearby it's not so much of a change. We've had meetings with his teachers and the vice principal about our son and his work and all have been great experiences.

I drove all over the county, and everyone sent me back to Shrade. I finally went back there, and they huffed and threw some paperwork at me. I told them there was an issue, and they said don't worry about it. The day of school I find out it IS an issue, and I have to wait TWO WEEKS for my son to start school! I made some calls, and he was finally permitted to start. From then on, anytime I have had a question (when is picture day? when is the fundraiser? when can I meet my son's teachers?) I got met with "I don't know" or "that's not my job." You're the secretary! Whose job is it?! Anytime I asked a question, they pulled my son from class to try to make him answer. If my son knew, I wouldn't be asking the school! Thankfully, another school noticed my son was incredibly intelligent and recruited him. I asked Shrade to forward his file to them. They wouldn't unless I withdrew him first, so I did. The new school was appalled; it turns out that Shrade didn't do ANYTHING they were supposed to! Paperwork wasn't filed; it turns out my son qualified for free lunches. That would've been good to know! They didn't request his records from his previous school, so I had to go back to Shrade and ask them to do it. They promised... of course that means they did nothing. I called his old school every day, and every day I went back to Shrade to ask them to do it. Finally, the new school said they'd do it, even though they weren't supposed to. Just before my son left Shrade, he had done the school fundraiser, raising $300 for them. He won several prizes. When my son switched schools, Shrade refused to give him anything, stating that only Shrade students get prizes. He was a Shrade student when he earned them! My son was crushed. Once a week, I stopped by to check for his fundraising items and school pictures. Every time, I was told someone would call me when they came in. TWO MONTHS later, a woman overhears me asking and informed me her daughter got hers a month ago! The woman behind the desk grouchily went and got our things. My son was bullied at that school, and there was no challenge there, no homework, no testing. He was bored. We are MUCH happier at Harmony. Avoid Shrade!!

They just throw work in front of students and except them to ACTUALLY learn and pass the class. The counselors and assistant principals treat the students like they are in a prison and the real, important stuff just gets pushed aside. The bullying and threats have gotten out of hand and it seems to always happen. My son went here the opening year and hated it and it's sad the same has happened to my daughter. Don't send your kids here.

From the toddler room, where my twin boys are potty trained (ok 1 is and the other is a work in process). They come home every day singing their ABC's, counting, and talking about Jesus. To the big kid class where my 4 year old knows sign language, counts in Spanish, and talks every day about his lessons he has learned and how he has Jesus in his heart. The staff here is amazing and I absolutely love everything about this school. My 3 boys have been going here since they were 6 weeks old and I would not trust them with anyone else.
