DO NOT USE SERVICEMASTER -- My Home Was Damaged, My Family Was Exposed to Chemicals, and Their…read moreStaff Lied I didn't choose ServiceMaster -- my insurance company forced them on me. My kitchen had just been remodeled. After their work, I was left with: * Damaged cabinetry (chemical spray caused bubbling and peeling) * Scratched farmhouse sink * Gouged floors * Dented refrigerator and broken door seal * Filthy water leaked onto brand-new rugs One of their workers dropped a shop vac off a ladder -- it bounced and hit my fridge, cabinet, and freezer. He also stood on my granite counters with dirty boots. Then he sprayed chemicals into the ceiling and turned on a commercial fan, blowing toxic mist all over my kitchen. Me, my son, and our dog got sick. Throat, eyes, and breathing problems for days. Lacey Seymour, the project manager on-site, later admitted she "didn't trust" the worker she sent and said, "thank God he didn't cut your copper pipe." But when I repeated this later, she denied saying it. Live video of this conversation as well as all service master employees that entered my home even the day of the damage all recorded live footage. Then came the emotional harassment from corporate manager Hope Taylor. She emailed me with estimate deadlines of July 3 and July 16, demanding I get professional quotes. I sent her an official $23,000 damage estimate on July 16. Then suddenly, she gave me a new "take-it-or-leave-it" deadline of July 23 -- offering only $4,200 for all the damage. I'm disabled and was overwhelmed. I accepted the $4,200 on July 23 just to be done with it. But she ignored my acceptance and replied with an outdated email from July 3, pretending the deadline had already passed. It was a clear manipulation tactic. Hope Taylor's behavior is deceptive and disgraceful. I have every single email to prove it. This company caused damage, ignored the proof, bullied me with false deadlines, and made me chase them down while I was sick and dealing with the mess they left. If your insurance company tries to assign ServiceMaster -- REFUSE. They are unprofessional, careless, and dishonest. Protect your home and your health. I'm speaking from experience, with documentation and footage to back it all up.

I am writing this based on my experience over the last couple of days. Additionally, I will be…read morereporting this matter to the Better Business Bureau. As soon as I get the inflated invoice for the billing attempt to my insurance from your company, I will make public the video evidence showing your project manager who came into my home, dropped off a humidifier, and took numerous "complimentary photos" for a project that they ultimately did not begin.. Additionally, I will share the call log documenting my efforts to reach your business, along with the email I sent requesting the retrieval of your dehumidifier. I will also include a video featuring two of your employees, neither of whom came into my home to collect the humidifier they left behind as well, as the recording from our conversation, which was documented on my home camera. It is disappointing to see such poor service, and the outrageous billing amount reflects poorly on your business. I have also informed our insurance provider and will ensure they do not suggest your services to anyone in the Rochester area. Your conduct is a disgrace to your company. Potential clients - I strongly advise against trusting this company; they are likely to scam you. I informed Justin that I would be leaving a brutally honest review, and any response you see here from him may be misleading. The company came out on a Thursday night at 6pm after my basement flooded, promising to return on Saturday to begin mitigation. There project manager, Dylan told me to pump out as much as I can, but not to worry about anything else because they would take care of all of it, including the rug, the cutting of the molding and treatment, etc. They left me with just a small dehumidifier and nothing else. After that, they disappeared and failed to follow up. I reached out multiple times through messages and emails, but received no replies. In a final email, I asked them to pick up their equipment, as it was now Monday and they hadn't fulfilled their promise, leaving me to deal with the flood on my own. I rolled up the dehumidifier and set it out front for them on Monday. Now, they are attempting to charge me $700 for the 3 days of using that small dehumidifier, and instead of apologizing for their lack of follow-through and the mess they left me with, they are inflating my bill. Just stated that he is also attempting to charge for retrieving the dehumidifier from the front of my home . This is outright theft. Do not trust this company. I intend to keep this review up, and I will share the bill when I receive it along with the photos and videos, emails, etc. mentioned above. In today's world, where our home cameras capture every moment, it's absurd for this company to believe they can successfully deceive us or maintain future connections with potential clients after pulling off such a scam. Furthermore, I plan to take this to the media, complete with video evidence of their employees doing nothing and failing to keep promises. This company exploited my vulnerability when I needed support the most. They failed to fulfill their promises, providing services that ultimately left me to confront a mold issue on my own. Justin implied his project supervisor seemed clueless and should not have handled the situation this way, which raises concerns about their training. Justin a Dylan should be held responsible for their actions, but it seems they will evade accountability. Their behavior reflects cowardice and dishonesty.

After a fire at my home, I hired TPM General Contractors to perform the rebuilding work and paid most of the contract amount expecting the work to be completed properly. Unfortunately, my experience involved what I believe to be shoddy and incomplete work. There were also concerning issues related to electrical work, heating vents that appeared to have been covered rather than properly installed, some items that appeared to be lower quality than what was originally expected, and a proper crawl space/attic access was never installed, along with many other concerns. Less than one year after moving back into my home, the brand new siding already needs to be replaced. Because these issues were never resolved, the remaining balance has now become part of a legal dispute. Since then, I have met with multiple homeowners who have dealt with TPM General Contractors in Liverpool, NY and reported similar experiences, including concerns about work quality, being overcharged, or being billed for items that were never completed. I am posting this in hopes that other homeowners who may have had work performed by TPM General Contractors in Liverpool, NY will share their experiences so people can better understand the full picture before hiring them. If you have had work done by this company and experienced similar issues, please feel free to reach out to me. Homeowners considering any major repair or rebuild project should strongly consider independent inspections and closely monitor the work being performed throughout the process. Based on my experience, I personally would not recommend this contractor.
