All the girls in this shop are so nice. We were running the Simon Mall Rewards booth directly across the walkways from this store and they brought over some chocolate for us. It's a teeny tiny little candy shop in a ginormous shopping center. It's easy to miss. I'd say you should stop in if you're so inclined, but Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory isn't somewhere to go out of your way for. It would be good if you're looking to gift some sweets. When I went there was only one staff member behind the counter. The space does not have room for more than that, at least at the front of house. The cashier seemed friendly enough and answered a few questions I had about their candy apples. Get one covered in chocolate and caramel. You can't really go wrong with anything covered in chocolate. I'll stop in again if I'm ever at the outlets and have a strong sugary craving. Some other reviews say they'll double charge you or charge you incorrectly. I came to this location today for the first time. I only stopped in because I was given a discount nickel to use by someone. This establishment has many choices of chocolate dipped things (apples, strawberries, oranges, etc). I elected to go with a snickers dipped apple and two other sour candies for my kiddos. Before I get the hate messages for giving this establishment 3 stars, the reason for the 3 stars is because the apple that I got was nothing special. I've had much better candy apples at a much lower price point. In total (with the 2 dollars off), I paid $7.17 for one apple and two small sour treats. This is not the best apple I've had but not the worse. I can't justify going back to purchase an apple for almost $8.00 for it just to be okay. read more

Let me just say- PAY ATTENTION TO THE PRICES AS THEY ARE RINGING YOU UP!! I am a big fan of candy and sweets and have a huge sweet tooth. I was happy to see this store and went right in. I immediately felt so happy seeing all of the many different options of chocolate covered items and different candy apples. I browsed for a few minutes while also chatting with the employees. I had the best experience with two of the friendliest employees. They were middle aged women and just so welcoming. So I decided to go back in recently when I went to the outlets again and unfortunately had such a different experience. It was a younger male who was semi friendly but the older lady that was there seemed to have possibly been management or owner (not sure) and was extremely RUDE!! The man was ringing me up and I had asked why some of the stuff was being rung up higher than what the prices were marked for each item. When I asked why, she jumped and said 'yes, those are the new prices, I just didn't change the price tags on the items yet' ok... well that is false advertising and extremely sneaky!! If they have a price on them, you can't just magically decide to change a price and claim it's whatever you want that day. How sneaky is that!? She also refused to honor the price that was marked still even though this is their error. She had such an attitude and was so short with me. Horrible customer service and I will never go back in this place! Funny, what businesses and women like this seem to forget is you need customer service and to be fair to people that step foot in your store to spend their hard earned money. I want to start off with the saying the apples here are amazing!!! But the disrespect from the manager towards a fellow coworker is why Im giving them 2 stars! When I came in to order 3 Pecan Apples, I witnessed the manager treating the cashier with most distrubing, digusting and disrespectful manners I have ever encountered. The cashier was a young girl and the woman was an older woman (Or should I say her age was of a grown woman but her manners were of an untaught toddler!). The cashier had asked me what my order was because she couldnt hear me through the clear shield that was covereing the register. As I was going to repeat myself, the older woman yells at her with alot of sarcasm stating "They said they want 3 pecan apples" the girl replies with ok and continues to let me know that there was a sale that I could get another apple free. After she cut my apples for me and was going to bag them up, she was having troubles peeling open the plastic bag and she let the manager know she needed help. The manger then throws the mop she had in her hand down against the counter. She came over by the register and proceeded to mock the poor girl and expressed her opinion that "its easy to open a bag, just use a towel of something, just open it". Then the manager yanks open the bag and is flinging it around aggressively. I also hate to mention but the girl was of a different complexion then the manager and the manager seem to treat her as if she was of a lower status. Its 2022 and I hate that I had to witness this at a place of business inwhich I have been a customer at countless times. First off, Beautiful apple displays when you walk in and giant gummy bears, yum. Simply wonderful little candy store and then, their customer service goes sideways. Extremely rude older woman with short salt and pepper hair. Starts by telling me I don't need to be in here) (I'm over weight due to recent cancer treatment and thyroid issues.) but she was outright judgmental to a customer. Then she starts on my spouse, (he is handicapped and has a service dog with us) She wanted to know why he did not have a vest on, we offered her the service dog registration card to prove it and she was still nasty and refused to wait on us at all. A very sweet younger girl with brown hair helped us while the older woman went to the back rights side of the candy counter grumbling nastiness all the way. My spouse, myself and our friend made over a 50.00 combined purchase and left the store. My suggestion to the corporate entities that run this store. If you can not have an employee that is dedicated to customer service represent your business, you will have less and less business till you close your doors. She is unaccepting of change, condescending, obviously racist, and outright thinks everyone is trying to get away with something that they are in fact not. And your items are too pricey. We will frequent Llames from now on and will not be back to this store....ever. read more

(So don't bash me for the 3 Stars) I really appreciate the flavors and tastes that they bring to you, my daughter loves the Chocolate Caramel-Peanut Apples sliced and some of the truffle flavors. If I wanted it, I would love to order the HUGE peanut butter cups they have. They are about the size of a hockey puck... yes that big. They have them in many flavors and versions. My visit to the store in Cedar Park at 1890 Ranch was, as many past visits to other locations for this concepthave been ....in a word..... unimpressive. I walked in to the store with great anticipation of wanting to really love the product. But.....expensive and stale. My daughter and I got four pieces of chocolate...$8.75.I had the milk chocolate caramel and a chocolate oreo covered marshmellows. Both items were so hard, I thought I would crack a tooth just trying to bite through them. Landed up throwing the marshmellow away after the first bite. The store lures you in visually, and walking in the door, the smell is amazing, but its to bad that the actual product suffers from being a visual enticement on the shelf for way to long, before being sold to a hungry candy eater. Probably not something that can be fixed without more sales volume...kind of a chicken or egg question! read more

Before I begin, I just want to say they have some of the nicest chocolate candies. I'm not really a chocolate guy, but today I came after years to a horrible experience. As soon as I walk in the door, there's an old lady behind the counter who was talking to her coworker. I hear the old lady say "here comes those people". I was really suprised she said that, but I played it off like I didn't hear it. I had my family with me and didn't want to make a huge scene. So my wife knows I love Marzipan, and she's asking the old lady if the store carries some, and totally ignores her. Finally the brunette (who was really nice btw) says they don't. While all this is going on, there's a mad annoying young blonde haired chick chewing her gum and staring at us really hard. DO NOT go to the old lady with grey, short hair or the young blonde who's clueless. Lastly I asked the young blonde what time they close, and she responds by rolling her eyes and chewing her gum even louder. The brunette girl says I'm sorry sir we close in an hour. Terrible customer service and I'd never return to that place again. read more

Terrible experience there. Staff yelled at my autistic kid for touching the display case while I was present with him and he was not doing anything. I was a regular, I can only imagine how they treat customers in general. I had not seen anybody this rude to my son over the last 3 years. I love coming to this place. I love the smell! I love buying their chocolate covered strawberries and dog treats. I visited this location while on our way back to Dallas from Austin in October 2017. The older lady that was there was not very nice. I felt unwanted there. She did not want to help us she acted like we were wasting her time and we weren't gonna buy anything. Whatever it was I felt it. Just like all the other reviews in here. I did make another trip down there recently and this time there was another lady and she was very helpful and nice. I stopped in here with my husband and son one day. There was a tall, husky Hispanic guy behind the counter. He didn't greet us or make eye contact for quite a while. To give you an idea of how long, I watched him unwrap 8 sticks of butter before he muttered, "Let me know when you're ready." All the while, my son was asking us how much some chocolate coins were, to which I responded with an "I don't know. We'll have to ask that man." Bought a box of Deluxe Truffels for my Valentine only to find out after opening it that a box of 12 really meant a box of 11 truffles. For my troubles, the store clerk said she we give me one truffle. Wow, that's great customer service (I'm being fecitious)! Awesome customer service & They were kind enough to portion it into packages for me which is something they usually dont do, so it was ready for me when I got there (I called ahead).
