We've been to many around the country during snow storms or just to visit. Today was a beautiful day and my kids and I walked from the ski village to the downtown Ketchum area, had pizza, did some shopping, and walked over here. They have this great room for kids to chill and read and we were the only ones in there. What a lovely place filled with free books you can read!

All conference participants stay at the same hotel, see each other while using the office computers, dining in the hotel, swimming in the pool--and of course, when attending the conference. The speeches and discussions are mostly enthralling, and it's worth attending the author's luncheons--if you can get it. Book signings are plentiful, made convenient after each talk in the conference's bookstore. Best of best? Literally sitting down with the featured authors at a part of each day, to discuss their journey. Sun Valley is a small breathtaking town to enjoy while you're there as well.
