This morning my sweet husband asked if I would go down to Bonnie's to look at a piece of equipment for him. I obliged because we are in the middle of making some changes on our little farm. And adding to our place back home in Texas. When I arrived at Bonnie's I was greeted by two friendly women who kindly stated they would help me find the piece of equipment. It is a bit odd that no one at the business knows where anything is and you just kind of wonder around aimlessly to find hidden treasures, but if you're into that kind of thing...it's cool. They weren't really sure what I was talking about because where we are from we call them "shredders" and people here call them "mowers" I guess. We found the piece of equipment and they allowed me to take photos to send to my husband since he was out of town for the day. They also let me know that the owner would be up soon to let me know if it worked and how much they were asking for it. The owner arrived and this is where things took a turn. First off, the man let me know that he needed to know what kind of tractor we had before he would give me the details because otherwise I was wasting his time and he didn't have a lot of time to waste. Truly, it's none of his business what kind of tractor(s) we have. If I want to purchase it for a yard ornament then I can. I wasn't sure which tractor my husband was planning to utilize this for so I stated I wasn't 100% sure what tractor so I couldn't give him all the details but my husband could provide that information. He stated, "Well your husband isn't here so this is a waste of my time, huh? This won't even work on my tractor and it's really big because I used to be a farmer so I'm sure it won't work on yours." Well something this man didn't know is that my husband and I both grew up on pretty large farms and we still own a large part of it where we have access to a multitude of large tractors. We both learned to drive tractors before we learned to drive cars. We had intended on buying it regardless because my brother is a tractor mechanic who could fix it for us even if it didn't work. We went on a mission this morning but for the lack of customer service and pure disrespect...I left. And also, for the lack of knowledge of inventory Bonnie's wasted my time but he certainly didn't care about that. Just remember Mister I am someone's daughter, granddaughter, sister, wife, and many other things so don't treat me as though I am beneath you or ever say I am a waste of your time! Sincerely, Your Neighbor
