There are just times when you've got too much to take out yourself and Rod's is a good option when you're overwhelmed with junk. Will pull out oversize furniture for you, navigating the tight spaces in your house to get it out. His trailer seems to have limitless capacity, giving you the ability to dump stuff Republic would charge you for and that would take multiple trips to the landfill if you did it yourself. I hired this company to execute my move from Westchase to Trinity on 6/22/23. There were multiple issues during the move: 1: They did not complete the job as agreed upon - A. they were supposed to haul my garbage after the move - never showed up - they have been ghosting me since B. they did not bring all my furniture upstairs upon arrival at the new address... they refused. C. there was a crib and a bunk bed that had to be dismantled for transportation - they did not reassemble the furniture correctly, they left parts completely lose and did not properly secure the screws that they did actually use - they in fact lost screws and parts needed to rebuild the beds... these are beds for children ages 6 and 10 months... D. They advertised themselves as a hauling and moving company with a moving truck - however, they honestly treated my stuff as if they were hauling garbage... they showed up with a pick up truck and a flat bed (which had no working brake/signal lights)... no moving truck at all. E. They started the transaction at $850 (all included + garbage pick up) we ended up at $1,000 because they "had to take 3 trips" - which ultimately they didn't since they never came back for the garbage. 2: Showed up completely unprepared for the move A: They did not bring a proper dolly or lift to move my furniture - instead they brought a cart from Ikea B: They had no mats, tarps or covers to protect my furniture (more about this below) C, As mentioned above - they showed up with a flat bed and a pick up truck - during a rainy day - without a tarp! without rope to secure my furniture - or anything to protect my belongings from the elements - Needless to say, most everything that was transported got wet and has water damage. D. They did not have the proper equipment to bring furniture up and down stairs without damaging it. 3: They caused extensive damage to my furniture A. I will start with my 10 year old, solid wood, $700 American Signature Furniture dresser - all that remains of that dresser is a door. They first smashed it around and caused severe damage to this item, as well as water damage from getting rained on during transport - but, it gets worst, as they dropped it while bringing it upstair - and damaged it beyond repair - I was promised full compensation for this item (as they promised to replace it) B. My mattresses, desk, and entertainment center have water damage C. They dropped a large wooden stand during transport - it fell out of the truck... I pleaded with them to have them strapped my items... and I was told not to worry, that if anything was damaged - that they would replace. I was told this multiple times. In front of my daughter and her best friend... Rod said he wanted to give me "peace of mind" 4. Lies Lies and MORE Lies - dishonest to the core A. As stated above - they promised to replace any damaged furniture - however, I have been ghosted since Friday 6/23 - also, they said for me to go to Walmart and look for a replacement (Rod said - I know where this came from - no he doesn't, hence why I saved the door from the dresser that was destroyed, because you can see the high quality of the item, that was no Walmart dresser) B. They advertised as a family owned and operated company - highly trustworthy, ex military - I was all for supporting small local business, coming from a military family myself, I instantly wanted to do business with them.... it turned out to be the worst moving experience of my entire life. C. Flat out scammers - they charged me $1000 for me to watch them treat my furniture as if they were hauling garbage - 0 respect for my items, full chaos and destruction. When I confronted them about what was happening, I was told I was receiving the service I had paid for. Insult to injury... Not to mention the emotional damage, stress and tears this people have cost me... Shame on them for treating people this way! read more

I would NEVER use this company for moving. They claim to be a moving and hauling service which I thought would be helpful. The owner was very kind when I called, after seeing them on Groupon. He said he wanted to start as early as possible but I said 8am. They showed up 2 hours late!! They showed up with a TRAILER!! WTH? They threw all my stuff in that trailer and just piled it up. They ruined my natuzzi couch, scratched up my table. On top of it they showed up in crocs, wreaked of pot, just totally unprofessional. They made one trip-because it started raining and they brought a trailer- not real smart. We paid a $175 deposit the day before and then $500. The next morning -THEY NEVER SHOWED UP. Rod is kind, patient and hard working. He shows up with an extra person to help carry things out. He helped my family to dismount TVs and clean off an oven to perfection when he moved us from Dunnellon to Brooksville. He was extra patient with us, we had extra stuff to take to the dump in the uhaul and he waited for us at our new address to unload the heavy stuff we couldn't get ourselves. Also, his prices are fair just be absolutely sure to name everything you will need done beforehand and you'll be smooth sailing. Rod's Junk Removal came the same day I called them. They were able to complete the job the same day. Was very satisfied.

My experience with Rod's was very good. The only exception was that when Jarrod came to remove the sectional he gave me a price that was $30 higher than the quote, he explained to me that it a service fee. This was the first time I had heard of it, we had communicated through text and also spoke on the phone and he hadnt mentioned it to me either time. Rod and his helper were very efficient and were in and out in no time at all. He showed up promptly at the agreed upon time. I was very satisfied with the service he provided. read more
