Large and spacious, the restaurant is painted in a mustard yellow and has high ceilings with removable walls which open up to an outside patio. TVs dot the bar strategically displaying football matches. There was live music on Wednesday night and we were able to get a table for 4 immediately. Being very locally oriented and outside of the more international areas, do not expect English speaking servers or particular attention paid to international standards for service. This bar takes it at a brazilian pace. What also was a bit questionable was that we witnessed a larger table of 10-15 receive their beer refills when we hadn't even received our first round. That was a bit annoying. Despite that annoyance, when the food finally arrived it was quite good. I ordered the steak parmesan, others shared the chicken for two, and a chicken parmesan. Brahmas were had around the table and 1 caipirinha. The caiprinha was declared mediocre and not as good as the one in Fogo de Chao. The salad that came with the chicken for two consisted of bitter greens - meant to taste that way but not something I would say most people are used to. A side of Yuca also came with the chicken; both yuca and chicken received good reviews. The steak parmesan was tender, tasty, well cheesed and covered in a tomato sauce. It was accompanied by a side of fries - which may have been out of a bag. I wish they gave you a bottle of ketchup but two packets were included at the table. Plus I didn't ask. Bar Brahma is a good example of a brazilian style bar. Grab your local friend and head over there for a drink and a bite. Beware the lack of english and brazilian-paced service.

Wow, this evidently is THE place to be if you're in the Asa Norte area! I drove by several nights,…read moreand it was just jumping with people...you could feel the energy from the car! I actually came during the day, and no one told me about here, I just found it on a quick Google search for traditional Brazilian food on my first day in town. Obviously, I'm in Brazil, so EVERYTHING is Brazilian food. I wanted traditional though, but as I thought about it, I'd be able to experience traditional every day, so when I found Bar Beirute, and saw that it was a fusion of traditional and Middle Eastern, I was very intrigued. While ordering, I was torn between two dishes, one featuring steak and the other lamb. Brazilians are known for steak, while Middle Eastern cuisine is known for lamb. Again, seeing as how I knew I'd get traditional Brazilian food the rest of the trip, I opted for lamb, and man was this an excellent choice. My dish came with a sizeable boneless lamb, rice with kale and green peas, eggs with farinha (cassava flour), fries and a fried banana. The meal was absolute heavenly indulgence. My first meal in the country, and it as a homerun! Never tasted farinha before, and as my trip went on, it would show up on my plate a multitude of times. Brazilians love their cassava flour! It doesn't really have a particular savory taste, but the texture works well on many things, and it was great on the eggs here. That also was different, having eggs with a lunch meal, but again, it worked extremely well. And don't even get me started on the fried banana...wow. As great as the food was, my first Caipirinha may have even been better. Like the farinha, I ended up having Caipi's several times more on my trip, restaurant and homemade. None would even come close though to the one I had at Bar Beirute. The presentation was aesthetically pleasing with the many lime slices filling the cup. More importantly though, the flavor and strength of the lime juice, sugar and cachaca liquor made for a strong cocktail that woke me up out of any jetlag and properly introduced me to Brazil. WINNER!!!!!

Poor service, unclean everything, reheated food and a nice view. Save your time and go elsewhere…read more If they think this is AT ALL good they need to close down.

The experience lived up to the expectation! We came on a Wednesday evening which happened to be burger night. Usually there is a 15 real cover charge but if you agree to spend an adequate sum on food and drinks the cover is waived (I can't quite remember the exact amount, but it was reasonable). The burgers were fantastic, and more importantly the beer card was cleverly calculated with a variety of international options, mostly Belgian-style. We opted for a local white beer brewed by the pub itself. Delicious! The rest of the food menu looked great as well. More than anything else, our hearts were warmed by the fantastic staff. They treated us as friends and we really enjoyed the conversations we shared. They make thoughtful board game suggestions and even explain the directions. We left with big smiles on our faces! Check it out. Also, there is a Carcassonne Bistro around the corner which features fine food. We didn't get a chance to try it but will when we return to Brasilia. Thank you, guys!
