We love going to smaller independent bookstores but once a year or so, we go to bigger stores like Indigo/Chapters for a date. It had been over a year since we had visited this store and it was so much fun! The service was great, from the cashier being super polite to another staff member ensuring everyone was personally told about the tables full of the best sales. The prices are great as they always have 3 for $10 book sales. We were going to enjoy their cafe area on the second floor but we had worked up an appetite so we went to Quesada's nearby instead. We plan on going back during the winter to fully enjoy the hot beverages from the cafe for a cozy experience but truly- if it's been a while since you've picked up a book, go roam the aisles, look at the books, toys, home products, music, stationary, candles, clothing.... They have everything. If you're ever looking for a different gift idea for anyone, there's bound to be SOMETHING here. Now... it's time to read one of the 8 new books I got.

This Chapters is located in a parking mall and is quite large. Along with selling books and magazines, they sell some electronic items including iPod Touches, iPads, Fitbits, fitness trackers, and Kobo eReaders. There is free WiFi but you must either be a Bell Mobile customer or you must be a member of their Plum Rewards (free) program or their iRewards (paid) program. If you are a Bell Mobile customer, you enter your phone number and you get an SMS with the code/instructions to log into their WiFi so unless you have an SMS plan with Bell, you will be dinged for the incoming SMS. There are some chairs scattered around the store where patrons can sit and look through the books before deciding whether they want to purchase it or not. Upstairs, there is also a Starbucks coffee shop with tables & chairs. I'm not sure if you're allowed to take your books/magazines into this area (which you haven't purchased yet) but I just wouldn't feel comfortable doing this. I've always found the staff to be very helpful here.

I used to come to B&BW once a week, just to see what's new and sniff some goodness. I also frequently shop at the ones in the USA and the experience is similar, always pleasant. Bath and Body works offers body washes, soaps, scrubs, body mists, lotions, candles, hand sanitizers and accessories that go with those. With a large fan base accross North America, their products are always changing and new packaging and fragrances are introduced every month. If you like seasonal items for Christmas, Easter or "beach" or nautical themes for summer, this is the store for you. However, many of their scents are repackaged and recylced under different names, as I shop there so often, I start to notice how similar certain products are. I find the products to be of amazing quality, they lather well, the lotions and creams are never too greasy and absorb smoothly, and the fragrances actually last. The candles are also some of my favorite- the classic 3 wicks burn flawlessly and scent your whole house. Do sign up for their newsletter as they send coupons and deals almost every day, also note that twice a year, they host a huge sale that lasts most of January and June. This is the ideal time to stock up on goods. NEVER, ever pay full price for their products as they are a complete ripoff. Small bottles of their products can cost upwards of 15$ but if you get them on sale throughout the year they are closer to 3$. Same with the candles, almost 30$ a pop, but on sale I always get them for 10$. You can test and try everything in store, I love their sink - always swing by to wash my hands! They also have an amazing return policy. They will take anything back if you don't like it for a full refund or store credit if you don't have the receipt. A girly girl's dream store really. Worth checking out.

Also (as a plus and not a negative), I don't think I've ever been here when there's not been some sort of sale ($75 off or 3 for $15). The only drawback that I've experienced in this location is that the line up to buy here is often very long.

(One in particular is so kind, I make sure to ask for her!) It made me happy to spend my money there, and I was used to shopping at cheap fast-fashion stores. I had gotten to the point where I was tired of spending all my money on cheap clothes that would ruin/wouldn't last. I knew what I got at Laura would last, look amazing, and be timeless. It's a place I never thought I'd go into, but I'm so glad I did because they have really cute pieces! I even found a gorgeous formal red dress (I'm talking a princess gown that was on sale for $50?!) and though it was amazing, she was honest that it was too small on my bust (I'm a 34G/H). The gallery aims to be a permanent space for "living" street art culture in Montreal. There are two floors full of art and interesting pieces. One of the things I like best about Sub-V is that they let you trade out figures from blind boxes if you get one that you don't want. It'll cost you extra, but you can also choose from a selection of figures that have already been taken out of the blind boxes. It's great because you get which one you want, but you'll have to pay more the rarer it is. Sub-V also has an intense amount of spray paints for sale. Pretty much any color you could possibly want. Awesome! Prices aren't cheap, but they're not outrageous either. Definitely visit Sub-V if you have a chance, it's one of a kind in Montreal and has something for everyone.
