In both of my rooms the carpets were torn and stained, broken art frames, first room had a beat up desk chair but no desk, holes in the walls where I imagine the pests were coming in from. However, my reservation was made 3.5 months earlier, and had been confirmed 1 week earlier! We were told we could stay at a higher rate, but the amenities were not available. In particular, security and breakfast were not available. At this point in time, the property looks downright creepy. Windows and Windows blinds are broken. The Hampton sign is in the dumpster and no cars are in the lot. I did call a front desk #, and have no idea who answered because no one is available at this Hillsboro Inn property.

It was late, and I was only there for one night, so I didn't bother to complain. I also found a large bug on the floor, something I was very worried about (insects), the noise outside (which doesn't bother me), and the television was either malfunctioning or just old. As evidenced by the price of the hotel, I am not very particular. However, when half the white towels are dingy grey, it's just wrong. The bed is softer than soft, while the area around the hotel is a little less safe than I feel comfortable with. All in all not a great experience here.

They have a great location, walkable to convenience stores, restaurants, including a Starbucks. The room was a bit small but adequate and reasonably priced. The AC was a window unit, loud, and blows directly onto the bed, but worked fine otherwise. The walls were not sufficiently insulated as I could hear other customer's talking and music. Thankfully, they didn't get overly loud. Someone's hip hop music woke me up at 7 AM so I used a White noise app to sleep till my alarm sounded. I'd consider this hotel again for a no frills option.

Mahit Patel lied, saying no. I needed extra pillows and towels after having surgery. I took some pillows from another room with the intent of telling Mahit the owner as I asked him for extra towels. Mahit attitude was a lot like his wife's Rhonda, I was told I could only have 1 extra towel, although they clean rooms once every 3 days. His attitude was that I was an imposition or burden to ask for extra towels. I stated, "Never mind!" gave him back the towel he handed to me and walked away. Our air conditioner was also inoperable, and it was 107 degrees day and night. Crystal arrived and told us we were being kicked out because of the pillows. I was forced to explain my private business about my surgeries and Mahit attitude when I approached him. After we got in our next room we were met with many visitors named roaches that Mahit lied to us about. Thanks to Crystal, Cross, and all the other employees who provided great customer service. This review is not indicative to any of you. But it is a direct reflection on both owners, Mahit Petel and his wife Rhonda Petel. We are all people of color, but we have different ethnicities. Just because we are people of a different ethnic background does not give you the right to treat us Supar or as though we are beneath you. And if that was not your intent, then you both truly need to work on your customer service skills because that is how you made my family feel.
