The hotel is beautifully preserved with so much authentic character, history, and charm everywhere you look. We loved exploring the historic saloon, antique decor, creaky wooden floors, and all the incredible stories connected to the hotel. It was amazing knowing legends like Buffalo Bill Cody, Calamity Jane, Teddy Roosevelt, Butch Cassidy, and the Sundance Kid all spent time here. You can truly feel the history throughout the building. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and passionate about the hotel's history, which made the experience even better. The atmosphere was cozy, unique, and unlike any modern hotel experience. We also really enjoyed walking around downtown Buffalo since the hotel is perfectly located right in the heart of town. The waitress flung them in front of us and said "here's your wings". No plates, no napkins. There were probably not even 1 pound of wings in the basket. The menu said 2 pounds. No one ever came to see how our food was or if we needed anything else, like another drink. We had to ask to get napkins and that seemed to be a chore for her. After finishing our food, the bartender walked by three times looking at the empty basket but never asking if we needed anything or taking the basket away.
