Lots to read, but well worth it. Must read German (or Polish). Texts mesh well with artifacts, and all is well-organized. Probably one of the best museums of history/culture/geography that I can remember visiting anywhere. Beautiful setting in three early modern houses at the center of Gorlitz, in the Untermarkt. Really takes three or four hours to go through carefully. Accepts the ICOM card.

It's something people should see, so history is not forgotten. The guide was great - giving lots of the history. The museum was just so sad. Lives lost.

I implore you, book your tour as early in the day as possible or you will likely need to stay overnight in the nearby village to continue into the next day. It is A LOT. I pray that history like this does not repeat itself. If you are staying in Prague before or after your visit to Terezin, please make sure that you go to the correct bus pickup after you take the metro to the transfer. We had the incorrect platform information from an outdated guidebook and if you do not know the Czech language, it can be difficult to determine which platform to go to.

Fantastic little museum tucked away in a quiet area of Jelenia Gora! I am very happy I decided to…read morecheck it out, as it was well worth the 7zł price for a normal ticket. The museum focuses on the history of Karkonosze Region which is replete with interesting history and new exhibits of modern works. There is a full replica of a traditional hut in the style common to Lower Silesia. An assortment of other exhibits show archaeological findings from various time periods, and there is a lot of interactive screens for your educational enjoyment. Upstairs there was an interesting exhibition of lithographs and post cards form various cities in towns in the region that were popular with the German population living in this area. I was also fascinated with the glass museum and the display of modern glass artworks. Beautiful indeed. I highly recommend visiting this museum. You only need 1.5-2 hours to see everything and it's very well organized. Most information is provided in multiple languages including English, German and Czech. Entry is on the side of the building.
