I did not feel that my concerns were properly addressed, my instructions were not followed, and I did not receive the level of attention, communication, or support that I believe a client should receive when paying for legal services. When I attempted to communicate my concerns, I felt that the response was unprofessional and dismissive. Based on my experience, I would encourage anyone considering hiring Mr. Hogan to carefully evaluate whether his communication style, level of involvement, and approach match their expectations. The guy who hit me (T-boned me while he ran a red light looking down at his smartphone, of course) - his insurance company wanted to settle for $750 on a crash that totaled my friend's Chevy Tahoe and put me in the ER. My police officer friend connected me with Curtis Legal Group and they helped my get through the whole process of medical treatments, massage therapy, and all the other grinding details that go into dealing with an auto accident (an accident on my part - intentional negligence on the other guy's part - the other guy said he was leaning down to pick up a French fry, but when the traffic signals were timed, he was looking down for 8-9 seconds = smarphone usage while driving, hello!!!!) So, the moral of the story - call Curtis Legal if you are anywhere in the San Joaquin valley and let them take care of things for you - they make it as painless as possible, and operate at the peak of professionalism at all times. What should've been a clear, aggressive pursuit of justice turned into one of the most exhausting and disheartening experiences I've ever had with a professional service. They lowballed me from the start -- initially offering me $1,000-$2,000, knowing I was struggling, desperate, and scared. I pushed back and begged them to at least try to get me $5,000-$6,000 -- not because that was fair, but because that's the bare minimum I needed to survive at the time. Eventually, they gave me $5,000 and I thanked them, not because I felt satisfied, but because I was trying to stay polite and hopeful. I was worn down. They took advantage of that. That should've been a red flag to any law firm that cared: when a client is asking for the lowest possible amount just to survive, that's not a negotiation win -- that's a failure of representation. They didn't fight for me. They didn't keep me informed. They didn't explain the process or walk beside me like they promise on their ads. And when I've tried to revisit the way my case was handled -- not even asking for money -- just for acknowledgment -- they ignore it or delete my comments. I lost my car. I lost peace of mind. I lost trust in a system that's supposed to help victims -- and Curtis Legal Group played a big part in that. Be careful who you let speak for you. They might not say much when it matters most.
