The worst experience ever with an attorney. The first two times that I had court attorney Wilber Salgado didn't show up in court and sent a subsitute (that did nothing for my case), instead of working on my case Mr. Patena was more busy talking about Trump with the attorney of my ex-husband at the end of the hearing. Third time Wilber finally show up (more than 30 min late), cuz he was so busy with his other client over the phone. I told him that I want it representation for the child case only (I would manage the child support case myself) because at the time I didn't have 1200 extra to pay him, on top of the $4500 that I payed to retain him (for doing absolutely nothing on my case) and just like that he dismissed my case. Sooooo unprofessional. And send me a letter saying that he no longer represent me. I barely spoke to him, twice over the phone. Communication is always with the secretary or the paralegal. If you guys are looking for custody cases make yourself a favor and dont hire Wilber Salgado for those matters. I think he take too many cases at the time and go with the one that give him more money and put no effort in your case if that means less money for him. I was promised that my daughter will come to court to be interrogated and for a period of 7 months that never happened. We only went to court to waste the $4500 credit I had for hiring Wilber but no advance on my case whatsoever. I also speak Spanish, so Wilber insists on speaking Spanish to me as if I couldn't speak English and he was translating to me (which I speak perfectly). I want to speak English only to make clear that I understand the language perfectly so this attorney dont try "bs" more; thinking that I couldn't speak English. I had the opportunity to work with Mr. Salgado and his team for a few court hearings in San Joaquin County and Santa Clara County. The first court hearing was to transfer a child custody order from Santa Clara County to San Joaquin County. Mr. Salgado represented me and demonstrated a high level of expertise and attention to detail. Normally these types of cases can be challenging, but he was diligent and showcased his experience and skills. Mr. Salgado was able to get Santa Clara County to grant the child custody transfer to the county where I live now. The second court hearing was for a temporary restraining order. I am forever grateful that Mr. Salgado represented me in this court hearing. The person the restraining order was against was my son's father who was physically, mentally and verbally abusive. I can't thank Mr. Selgado and his team for their time and their attention. I moved to a new area and didn't have family, but I had a valuable attorney and law firm on my side that I can't thank enough. The last court hearing was the child custody hearing. I have the final hearing next week, but again, I'm extremely thankful for Mr. Salgado and his law firm. I would not have made it through the last few years without them. They've been an extreme help getting through stressful times. quality of service was absolutely horrible. requires a different retainer fee for each court date pretty much. He only shows up via phone with the secretary present. Complete waste of money and a complete joke. If I could give negative stars in this review I would. if you're wanting someone to defend you on court DO NOT COME HERE. He basically just listened and didn't try to defend or argue, never sat down to have a conversation about what was being requested. This so call law office is out take your money and do literally nothing for you in such a traumatizing time. They will promise you everything you want to hear but in reality nothing is getting done. I spoke with "my lawyer" Mr. Salgado briefly for a minute or two then the rest of the time with the ladies in the office throughout this whole process. Mediation was a joke and when finally going to court Mr. Salgado was not there to represent me. After everything all said and done paying the law office I'm having to pay $1600 a month and 2% time share with my child. Then on top of that 2 years later getting a call asking for additional 400 because of all the work they did. This place should not be called a law office, absolutely disgusted. read more

Zero stars selected for this so-called lawyer. I don't know any lawyers that gives you a five minute consultation for $250, And then you can't speak with them until you pay $5000. These guys are a total scam and a rip off. It's shameful that they would take advantage of people especially when they're already in such a vulnerable state. Going through divorce can be a hard and traumatizing experience. The last thing you need is a lawyer trying to get over on you. There is no communication within the office. None of the girls are on the same page. Doesn't seem like they have the credentials to be working in a law office. looks like the only qualification is try to look good in a short skirt. read more

Got the best outcome for a dui where i basically admitted guilty .crashed into 2 parked vehicles one wich had a person in there (he wasnt harmed )and somehow made it home but got tried with a dui and hit and run (i was scared and trying to make it home it was jever intentional ) Judge wanted to give me 30 days in jail and and salgado law got me off with no jail time and 1 day of community service as well as the hit amd run being dropped wich was probably the best outcome for the situation . Thankful and grateful .if i ever get into law trouble again ill be rehiring ! read more

My good friend who is a paralegal and a handful of people I know referred Salgado to my partner so he felt safe and went with him. What I had to watch my partner go through was heartbreaking . He sounded confident, I was told, he could help him get more time with his kids, ( he ended up going 10% to 3%) he said 1/2 the home, he ended up not fighting for that. Not only was he unprepared, he would be late and basically just went along with other Attorney and what she wanted. The emails my partner would get at times would be forwarded from the other attorney with nothing else.. . But if that wasn't enough my partner changed jobs and needed an Emergency modification. He reached out to Salgado and Salgado did reply asking for pay subs ( that my partner sent) then nothing... just a forward of the judgment.. after all my partner lost you think he would have want to at lest help with this last step, but nope. My parter is a good man, a good father and what was done with his case is unfair. He didn't deserve this and I wish we had the money to have went with the lawyer I wanted him to go with. I just hope we can help others not make the same mistake.. So if you are looking for help go elsewhere. read more

Not what I expected he was referred to me by another lawyer in town. Not worth a penny. Somehow I had a warrant for my arrest when I went to one of my DUI court dates. When I showed up there was a different lawyer representing me"had no ideal I was supposed to show up to court "I got a call from one of his assistants 2 days prior meaning I had to make last minute arrangements w my business and children extremely inconvenient lack of communication not impressed.... supposedly i had a lawyer I feel stupid handing my money to this guy. Worst experience I've ever gone thru. What a smart way to try and get away I have ALL the paperwork and reciepts where i paid you. Please own your mistakes!!!! read more

I don't post reviews, but I don't want someone else to go through what I had to go through with this law office. This law office was so bad I made a complaint with the California Bar Association. I just got the response back from the bar and his office lied about sending me monthly invoices this did not happen. I was never refunded for a NO SHOW when he did not show up to court in November 2022. I was charged for many things I should not have been charged for. I hired Mr. Salgado for my divorce case and have had nothing, but problems since. I've had two mediations with him on the phone. I'm the one talking against my husband's attorney. Mr. Salgado doesn't talk at all except to say when he's there and then leaving. I hired an attorney to represent me. I shouldn't be representing myself. He is also this way in court. I hired him in June 2022 and paid my retainer in full. On the first invoice I ever received from Mr. Salgado's office in December 2022 that is when I noticed I was charged in November for a hearing he didn't attend he was a no-show didn't even let anybody know about it. The judge was upset and charged him a fee. Mr. Salgado's office charged me 400 for the day before the hearing to review my case and 400 the day of when he was a no show. I have never been refunded for this. I was so upset about him not showing up and then to be charged I let his office know that was not ok. I told them they needed to fix the statement that they emailed to me. I never received an updated statement with that charge removed. March comes around 2023 I have two court cases Mr. Salgado doesn't even talk to me. I have no idea going into these court cases what they are going to be like. In court he doesn't defend me and he was 40 minutes late to the first hearing in March. Mr. Salgado gets verbally attacked by my husband's attorney because she was telling the judge what a mess his office is. It's really an embarrassment for him and for me, he supposed to be there representing me and instead he's trying to defend himself. He's speechless most of the time. The last date in March I lost my only vehicle because Mr. Salgado said nothing about me being married for 18 years, making all the payments that it was my only car that I put the down payment down, etc. I even asked the judge if I could say something and he said no, but you can tell your lawyer. After my last court date in March, I called the office I asked for an updated statement again they said no problem. Two days later I got a call from the receptionist they are going to get it to me. There's no communication which makes everything more frustrating. The beginning of April I went in his office twice and called 4 times to get my invoice and still no invoice. I finally got my final invoice mailed to me and it's a joke. He did nothing for me and has thousands. After firing him the office charged me 800 dollars for sending papers and closing out my case. I ended up hiring another attorney and he has already done more in the first month that Mr. Salgado did in 8 months. I should not have to pay an attorney thousands when he has done absolutely nothing. Stay away from this office if you want a good attorney go elsewhere! read more
