I stayed both times for eating disorder in patient. I didn't have a bad stay in 2024 however in 2025 they changed everything!!! Even though they have bathrooms in every room, they only let everyone use one shared bathroom!!!! I cannot relieve myself after someone throws up and leaves it unflushed (cause we aren't allowed to flush toilets) in the toilet!!! Not to mention it's hard enough to relieve myself in public bathrooms in general! I got so backed up I had got really sick with a kidney infection and severe constipation. I have migraines and they only allowed me in the bedroom for 30 minutes at a time. What the hell is that supposed to do for a MIGRAINE????? Patients were self harming actively IN FRONT OF YOU IN THE HALLS AND IN THE DINING ROOMS and the staff DIDNT STOP THEM. This one patient was being so terrible to the other patients that patients were actively discharging when they were severely sick and tubed. She was terrible to one in particular calling her a fat ass and that patient had a 45 minutes break down where she self harmed and ripped her tube out in front of everyone! Nobody stopped her. Nothing was done. She discharged herself too. The terrible patient was allowed to stay and cause terror still. Terrible management on the unit. I was traumatized on the phone rocking back and forth crying to my partner as he heard them screaming in the background, crying for him to help me please. Someone anyone help me. I'm never going back. I'd rather starve to death. Thank you. read more

I'm writing this review as the loved one of a current residential patient. Since he has only been there for a week, I will most likely update or write another review once he completes his treatment. That said, while no place is perfect, our experience so far has been wonderful. We originally sent my brother to a treatment center in southwest Florida. We thought getting him out of the Midwest and into some sunshine might be an added bonus. Unfortunately, the program was extremely unprofessional, and I would even go as far as to say unethical. My brother lasted only 20 hours there before coming home. After that experience, I was worried he wouldn't be willing to try another treatment program. With a lot of encouragement from our family, we convinced him to go to Rogers. From the moment we arrived, everyone was professional, compassionate, and welcoming. My brother calls me every day with hope in his voice, telling me how amazing the staff has been. He often talks about how much time they are investing in helping him heal and get better. He signed an ROI so I could be involved in his treatment, and I've had to reach out to his team a few times. I can't even begin to describe how different this experience has been compared to the place we tried before. Hope is such a powerful gift for someone who has been feeling so down and out. Rogers has given that to my brother, and our entire family is incredibly grateful. I know we still have a long road ahead, but this first week has already been such a positive experience. Sending our 12-year-old daughter across the country for residential treatment was the hardest decision we've ever made. She was admitted in June 2025 with severe OCD symptoms. She was discharged in October with a CY-BOCS score of 2. The numbers speak for themselves: this program works. The Clinical Excellence: The daytime treatment team is exceptional. Mariah Patterson (Therapist) and Dr. Tieu (Medical Director) were communicative, compassionate, and transparent about the treatment plan. Renee Lauterbach, the educational therapist, was an absolute hero. She coordinated with our school district in California to ensure my daughter stayed enrolled and didn't fall behind, advocating for us when the district tried to push back. The "Ups and Downs": Parents should know that the experience varies depending on the time of day. While the weekday clinical team is fantastic, we found communication on evenings and weekends to be inconsistent. We encountered peer conflicts, including threats from other children, that required us to advocate hard for her safety. We also found the illness isolation protocols to be frustratingly rigid compared to current standards. You have to be an active advocate for your child throughout the program. The Facilities: The campus is beautiful, and the Ladish Center (Ronald McDonald Family Room) was a sanctuary for us during visits, offering a welcoming place to play games and reconnect. The Verdict: This is not a summer camp; it is intense, life-saving work. My daughter went from being unable to touch her own bed to being happy, back in school, having sleepovers with friends, and living her life again. OCD is traumatic; this situation was as well, but Rogers gave her a second chance. We are forever grateful to the team at Rogers for giving her a future. read more

I came for help in March/April of 2024. It was my first and last time going for inpatient treatment. I ended up with food poisoning my first day. My meds were adjusted, had an allergic reaction and told medical would see me and never happened. After 3 days I asked to leave. I was told about therapy with rogers after, but I was kicked out because it wasn't covered by my insurance. I was told if needed I could call rogers and go back inpatient. The 1 place that was supposed to be helpful and care. Could have cared less. So now I have no place to turn for help... read more

Awful staff, money grab, awful food, and real world after help non existent. Loved One admitted for depression. The psychiatrist my loved one had was outstanding, They were just what my loved one needed, and they truly wanted what was in the best interest of my loved one. Unfortunately, this is where any glimpse of good ends. Have you seen the Spring Break nightmare clips where the resort wasn't ready for people so the food they had was limited and really disgusting barely edible? That's food quality. They went around asking patients about the food, and how to make it better, because nobody was eating. You get a care team of people- what they do besides trying to convince you to stay longer is beyond me. My loved on has been home almost 2 weeks and they have yet to send any paperwork to anyone. The "HELP" they give you for paperwork such as FMLA, or even just a record for the doctor ends as soon as you leave. My loved one has been home weeks now, they haven't sent anything to anyone! All the paperwork is signed, my loved one gave permission for me to access everything so that I could make sure health records and FMLA paperwork and all the rest was running smoothly for my loved one. Guess What? There is nobody to speak with- ever! I was left on hold several times for over 10 minutes, they transfer you- to the dial tone. They give you nothing not an email, not a phone number, not even a carrier pigeon to help you communicate efficiently with them. So you end up calling the floor or the 1-800 which is not who you need or should call but if that's all you have, sadly that's who you end up calling. The most atrocious part happened when a social worker who has met my loved one once, goes rogue from the care team to convince my loved one how bad they are and how they need to stay another 30 days! Nobody else thought this, not the psychiatrist not my loved one, not me- so what exactly are you going off of? Last I knew my loved one was being prepared to be released in a couple days. Then they had the audacity to call me, because she was able to manipulate my loved one into staying the 30 days- but they spoke to psychiatrist because they felt pressured and blindsided by the social worker. My loved one wanted to know if they were really that bad off or what was going on because as far as they knew, they was being prepared to be sent home. So the psychiatrist my loved one and myself all agreed my loved one was in a much better place and was ready to come home. Going to Rodgers was a preventative measure my loved one knew they needed help and we're struggling and they knew they'd get the best help going inpatient, unfortunately, Rogers was the wrong place. My loved one now has a bad taste in their mouth about going inpatient- and I don't blame them! From my point of view my loved one would need to be on fire and the only drop of water left was located at Rodgers to put him out before I'd say go there. This is from a visit in March 2025, at the Oconomowoc, Wisconsin location. My loved one is home no worse for the wear form the nonsense the social worker put them through. As I stated in the beginning, the psychologist my loved one had was absolutely amazing and truly help my loved one. However all the rest was a nightmare, that continues as we still can't get a hold of anyone. read more

This is by far the worst place to put your child. The staff act with behaviors that teach children nothing but disrespect. They teach children its ok to be two genders and let them identify as anything. They do not follow rules and regulations they allow children with mental illnesses become friends and teach each other how to get worse with their disorders. The staff do not intervene when behaviors are happening. There has been talk of staff relations with kids to the point kid comes home with staff phone numbers. This place allows children to be released even when mal nutrition and in starvation mode all because they dont want to do extra steps to protect our children. They treat state aid children differently then private pay. 10 different stays in all locations and delt with the same issues. They want the money but dont want to actually help the children. The units are disgusting and not sanitary. They dont make sure your child is washing and clean either they will let children go 2 weeks without washing hair. They allow homicidal children with others and thats not safe at all. The staff will hang up on you if they feel its not there job to explain. Delt with that numerous times. They will tell you they will call with updates and they dont until your child is calling in distress. Save your child and do not use this place as a savior because its not! read more

I can't express how hurt, disappointed, flabbergasted, dejected, humiliated, despondent, used, manipulated, dismissed, disregarded, sad, I feel. Called on 1.2.19 and their process is daunting and dismissive. I understand everyone has their metrics to hit or checklist to filter but as someone that cares for and wants help for an acute mental health need... I'm consistently confused how I, the guardian, is not taken seriously nor provided help on an inpatient basis unless someone is in harm's way. While in residential at Oconomowoc in 2021, a NOC (overnight worker at the unit desk) in Trauma Recovery, Tiffany, called me out by my last name, a violation of HIIPA law. Along with several other residents, I immediately complained to Tiffany's supervisor about this. Little did I know, her supervisor would schedule her to work overnight on my unit exactly two weeks later. Illegal activity and to put me in a situation where I would have to face her again. Yikes to say the least. I felt like a burden (further deepening my depression) and like just a number. Burn them and turn them. My anxiety skyrocketed exponentially - rendering it as debilitating. As Tiffany was scheduled overnight the second time, I did not sleep at all, which set my recovery back significantly. A panic attack consumed me for hours in the middle of the night. Because of Tiffany and her supervisor, I almost left at 5 weeks into my healing journey (8 weeks is average), which wouldn't have given me a fighting chance at beating (actually "dealing with in a healthy way" because PTSD doesn't go away) this ugly disorder brought on by trauma (in my case several traumas). Why did I stay? Courage. Why didn't i report it to HR? Fear of retaliation. Why am i reporting it now? Again, courage (and they need to be held accountable). This horrible experience has me continually ruminating about the Rogers' employees traumatizing actions. $90K for those 8 weeks- I want a refund. Adding on, several residents were taking pictures with smart phones on the unit. Illegal activity that was not monitored by staff. Again just plain YIKES! My privacy was completely compromised and violated. My will is stronger than my vulnerabilities. (Update to my former 5 star rating) read more

I have some mixed feelings about mental health care in general, but mostly, if you're looking for help urgently and effectively, this is the place. The staff are incredible, compassionate people (though, as per the process, they are definitely tough on you, as is the environment itself). When I had been stuck inside the bathroom for 2 days, and needed to go to the hospital, the staff were king, reassuring, and truthful; they saved my life. The place is beautiful, coming from a Florida boy who had never seen snow prior to going there. They have TV's, they play games, you can make friends with the other people there (though, sometimes, there are... odd, sometimes bad people there, but it's usually dealt with with time). The food was good, not the highest quality, but oh well. A lot of times, us patients would go on trips to get food, take walks around the town, and get rewarded for good behavior/meeting treatment goals. When I was going to discharge, I was given a special ET* hike that I chose myself. I loved all my friends, and it was just a generally wholesome experience *(Experimental Therapy, like PE). On weekends, my family would fly up and see me, and I could explore around town for the day, and have fun. I was given a great Christian faith counselor at the end of my treatment, as my OCD was Christianity-related. The treatment was superb, but I feel as if sometimes the treatment dogma could be a little more flexible. I would sit there crying on the floor in my room for hours at a time, every day for about 2 weeks. And while I was comforted some, overall, there was no gossip or anything validating my OCD. But, as I look back, that's really the only way to beat it (unless, of course, it's gotten so bad you're in the hospital.) All in all, a great experience. Im only putting a 4/5 because of my aforementioned thoughts on the rigidity of treatment, but, alas, here I am, alive and well. Thank you, Roger's. read more

Be very cautious when entrusting your child to this medical facility. my 15 year old daughter was told by a licensed psychiatrist that she would have depression for the rest of her life. Who would say that to a 15 year old? I wish I could remember her name. My daughter was also able to cut herself while in her own private room. The supervision was less than adequate. Just be careful...as C.S. Lewis said, "therapy is like surgery for the soul"...shop around because our experience here was not good. read more

I went there for the trauma residential program. The only negative is I didn't feel ready to discharge, I only got through 3 weeks of my imaginal, but it's a 60 day program so it felt like they didn't care where I was on the trauma work, my 60 days were up. However earlier in my treatment I was told it was okay we would move at my pace, it just felt like that was a lie, and I caused me to not progress as far as I needed to. The MHT's were wonderful. Danielle was my therapist. She was compassionate and patient. I was able to trust her with my deepest darkest secrets and I got compassion in return. She was encouraging, and was great at creating goals and setting up an accountability process, but making me part of it. Dr. Kramer was great too. I owe my life to Rogers. I did my 100th ECT treatment before coming here. I had been in therapy for 4 years prior but had never learned grounding or coping skills. The amount of things I learned are endless and life changing. Then the experiential therapy was so helpful. Art was such a learning process. I learned to express my emotions, and even made a little station at home so I can continue. Rec therapy I hated the most, but learned about avoidance so would go to challenge myself. Sometimes I would enjoy it but a lot of times it was triggering or was things I was fearful of. I would take it in baby steps, but was taught how powerful it was to face that fear sometimes by just being there. My experience there was absolutely life changing. It was the only place I have ever felt safe. I do have the comfort of knowing if I am ever in that dark place again I have somewhere I can go even if it's 1400 miles away. read more

Hellhole. I was locked up there for over two months when I was 14 (went off the anti-depressant medication I never needed to be on cold turkey) and am still having nightmares. I was lied to, drugged, chained up, assaulted, and abused. They told me the withdrawl symptoms were how I'd be all the time if not for the meds they had me on. They said I could go home if I could escape a restraint called "the human burrito" just to hold me down and shove me back in when I started getting loose. They told me I could go home after I went back on the meds, then they said after I was back on them for two weeks, then they said I could leave only after I agreed to leave the K-8 I was in my last year of (having started there in kindergarten) to go to a "special" school in Brookfield (another mess run by incompetents). I went off the pills gradually a few years later, and the doctor I was seeing at the time shrugged off the lack of behavioral issues they'd all been claiming up and down for a decade I'd exhibit if I were untreated. My parents were gullible and didn't recognize doctors didn't get rich by not finding problems. Dr. Romine was a waste of flesh always talking about her own "problems" like the cost of her bomber jacket or what she was going to name her new horse, prescribing more drugs without a second thought or any honest observation. A former male nurse named Nelson needs some investigating. He had a habit of singling me out, chaining me down face-first, yanking my pants down, and drugging me more times than I can remember for the slightest infraction. read more

WARNING: Do NOT Trust Rogers Behavioral Health with Your Loved One's Safety! I cannot stress enough how unsafe and negligent Rogers Behavioral Health has been in the care of my daughter. Despite multiple attempts to reach out for help, they have failed her at every turn--and now they're trying to hide their mistakes by sending her to an out-of-state facility, after putting her through abusive and reckless treatment. Let me tell you exactly what happened: My daughter was able to ingest a battery from a phone--something she had previously threatened to do. But it wasn't just that. She's been transported to Children's Hospital by ambulance FOUR TIMES from Rogers' West Allis and Oconomowoc locations due to the incompetence and negligence of the staff. These are the incidents: Overmedication by staff, leaving her at risk of overdose Physical abuse: She was punched in the face by other residents at West Allis She ingested beads and then a battery in Oconomowoc--clearly indicating that the staff was unable to keep her safe A fractured finger As a parent, you trust that mental health professionals will protect your child, but Rogers failed to do that at every stage. It's clear they are not equipped to handle severe cases like my daughter's. Now, their solution is to just send her away to a different facility instead of addressing their failures. I've had multiple conversations with their ethics and compliance department--we're practically on a first-name basis at this point. They have not made meaningful changes. Please, do your research and consider local community support options for your loved ones before sending them here. Your family deserves better than the neglect and harm my daughter has faced at Rogers Behavioral Health. read more

The biggest issue is staff taking advantage of the power dynamic thinking that they're not equal to the full grown adults that they're "caring" for when they leave those doors. There's also the whole company business model of treating full grown adults like children. I think that it could be a lot worse but I genuinely don't think that it will ever get better. My minor kid was inpatient here for a week after intense suicidal ideation. My kid's first night there another patient was in crisis and repeatedly asked and begged for someone to talk to her and all the staff were too busy and the patient ended up self harming because they couldn't get help even when asking. My kid's medication was changed multiple times without any explanation to myself or even to my kid. My kid started asking questions because they had no idea what they were being given and the staff just looked up it up and said the change orders were on their record and no explanation why. Kiddo was almost ready for discharge before I ever got to speak with the psych. I called daily and first was told how the psych was very very busy and had so many patients and wouldn't be able to speak with me. After several days even some of the support staff was advocating to arrange my speaking with the psych because I couldn't get any response. Once I was finally able to speak with psych and able to give a full medical history (my kiddo was in such bad shape mentally they couldn't even properly report their medical history), psych immediately changed gears on the meds because he was basing all his decisions on the medical report my kid gave but was missing huge amounts of relevant information). My kid was still dealing with suicidal ideation at discharge but was so desperate to get out they pushed for discharge because at least the outpatient providers at home gave some help and this place did not. read more

Management sucks. Piano broken on OACW. However it helped fix my OCD but the quality of the food and area sucks. MHTs are nice. Management however gets worse like management removing the switch on 4/22/2024. However they have unfair rules and rules that go against the guidebook guidelines. Way too strict, and the mainly thing that helps with the treatment is the trugs and not the CBT itself. However I still miss the place and would still go back just for social opportunities but the objective rating is still low. read more

Our psychologist recommended we have our 12-year old daugher attend Rogers in Bellevue for OCD and anxiety. Believe me, I was not conveniced. I thought an online therapist should suffice. But my wife and I finally committed. We initially had very low expectations given past experiences and our daughters reluctance to talk with mental health professionals. But boy were we surprised. The facilty is bright, clean, and inviting. Our daughter immediately bonded with the staff and other kids in the program. The staff are caring and available. Parents are very involved and the program is challenging. By the end of the day we were all exhausted. We were very surprised to find all of the intrusive thoughts our daugher was dealing with. Rogers therapists found these things immediately. Also, we were trained as parents. Part of our behaviour was making our daughters OCD and anxiety worse. In the end, high markets for Rogers. OCD is now under control (after 8 weeks). Our advice to parents is you will only get what you put into the program. It's a big commitment and alot of work for the entire family, but well worth it! read more

I had been at a Rogers' residential program for five weeks. When he was passing me in the hallway, a new male resident grabbed my hand and wrapped it around his penis in 2019. My complaint was dismissed when I told a paraphrased version of same story the second time second I spoke with administrative staff about it. I was kicked out of the program soon after. read more

Coming from a former patient, this program itself was about 3 stars. If the environment wasn't so horrible I would have left my rating at 3. The employees were caring and compassionate and I suppose they did there job by saving me from myself, but they didn't set clear boundaries between the patients. I found myself in a week long competition on who was the sickest. I felt I didn't deserve to be there because I had yet to self harm. After the program I got exponentially worse because my interactions between the other patients wasn't being monitored. I learned tips and tricks that in time ruined every fiber of my being. The month long wait for outpatient services allowed me to practice everything I learned from the patients. I do have to say that Rogers outpatient was the best thing that has ever happened to me and I am alive because of it, but I wouldn't be as damaged if my interactions were monitored in inpatient. read more

I haven't been here yet but all they care about is the money. My care coordinator told me I would have to pay $15,000 out of pocket for a 45 day stay(BCBS 70/30 coin insurance, $8500 deductible). I really need to come I keep going to the short term mental hospital for my OCD and it's so severe I'm unemployed right now. I could tell them I'll probably have a fatal suicide attempt before I could save up enough money to come to the program and they would say we can't do anything unless you can pay the bill. Which I'm not lying I have chronic SI due to my OCD. I wish that when a bed opens my care coordinator can negotiate the price lower/financial assistance/payment plan or discount it so I can come. If not I guess I'll just continue being a revolving door patient at the acute mental hospitals in my state or I'll probably die by suicide before I can afford Roger's. They don't care about people who struggle in outpatient but have to escalate to SI to be able to do inpatient care. If I die by suicide before I can afford to come here Rogers needs to just know I tried my best to stick it in outpatient and they need to make their residentials more affordable. read more

From high hopes to strongly advising against. There was a significant difference from the beginning of the program in 2021 to early 2022. Maybe the result of new ownership? If any concerns arise, prepare to be gaslighted. Get everything in writing. Unfortunately, there are unethical dealings behind the scenes due to poor management. In IOP, exposures were crammed, exacerbating OCD. The IOP therapist was not a good fit for the patient. The request for a change in direction was taken personally, although it was not and ignored, turning into a blame game. Listening is not a strength at Rogers. Compared to other facilities, this was very disappointing. There was also an insurance dispute. Rogers verbally promised the account was on hold until an 'open dispute case' initiated by them to the insurance was resolved. Despite the open and unresolved case, the account was sent to collections and negatively reported in the patient's name, not the person responsible for the bill or insurance. With no warning. Adding hardship to a young adult struggling with a disability who has not even had a chance to build credit. This review excludes the PHP part of the program before the change of ownership. Do Better, Rogers; you are negatively impacting patients' lives. read more

Hey y'all - welcome to Part 3! I have attached pictures of the letter Rogers Leadership sent to me as a result of the 8+ grievances I filed against the staff in OADC. As you can see, Leadership has taken my side (as they should've). I am not posting this update to my review to be petty, but I am posting these to let anyone and everyone who is looking for treatment for OCD and partially Depression to know to NOT GO TO OADC OR OAD NORTH AT ROGERS OCONOMOWOC (Dr. Mahoney runs both). I can assure you that OADC IS NOT THE GOOD UNIT THAT SOME STAFF MEMBERS THINK IT IS (I learned this in the most unacceptable way). And let me tell you something regarding the things I (and many of my peers) went through - what you are reading about in my reviews is the real OADC. Up until this recent residential stay, I trusted the unit with everything I had, and looking back on it, trusting the unit was one of the worst things I could've done. Take this from someone who has seen and experienced a lot at Rogers - avoid OADC and OAD North at all costs. If you're Depression AND OCD are bad, go to Kubly first, and then transfer to Cedar Ridge after finishing Depression treatment at Kubly. When it comes to your life, this is not optional. read more

Our son is significantly worse after doing residential treatment at Rogers OCD facility in Wisconsin and PHP in Nashville. We had what has now been proven to be incredibly legitimate concerns and they belittled us and never once considered that what we were saying was real. Instead they filled our son with hate that has left him detached from family, unable to function as an adult and incurring debt like crazy. They didn't remotely consider how harmful they were being. If just one person had said "what if the parents who know him best and have cared for and loved him his entire life are right" they could have made a positive impact on his life. They removed my review & photos from ggle. For $450/day they offered me a cheap desk and office chair in a closet along with a workbook to teach myself the therapy material out of for 2/3 of my time. They told me I'd meet with a therapist daily, psychiatrist once a week and behavioral specialist one on one everyday plus every day at group check ins. ABSOLUTELY FALSE and they've down everything they can the prevent me from sharing this experience. I tried to do all paperwork ahead of time bc I was arriving solo but they then told me I need another 10-15pgs signed by my relative who was traveling. They sent it back right away and I was admitted to the first day-- after I had to dig through all the pdf files in emails I signed previously to tell the Administration person how much she was supposed to charge me. So messy. Then they showed me my closet, told me everything they claimed to offer during admission was a lie and did intake. I bear my soul and they said they didn't know why they sent me there, it wasn't gonna be the right program but they would take me until they could figure out something. I arrived day two and they claim they didn't receive paperwork from day before & I needed it all signed. I had already paid for 10days upfront and signed everything as an adult and consented to them contacting the relative. They were adamant I needed to call them immediately (my phone was locked in my car bc phones aren't allowed). I told them I didn't have my phone, they should be able to figure out paperwork without me since they have consent to talk to them. I went to group and 10 min later the DIRECTOR came to my closet and said I had to leave bc they needed this paperwork and I was uncooperative. The relative was on an international flight. They admitted me the day before no problem and confirmed they had received the files sent in. The office had the entire first morning (8am-1pm) that I was in the office the first day to say they hadn't received it, the whole afternoon when they were still open until 5pm, or the morning of day 2 before I emotionally work myself up for big therapy day and drive 30 min to tell me that they didn't have essential" forms. After lots of phone calls I got a refund for 9/10 of the days I paid for but am being shut down when I share that experience. read more

This program is great especially for those who want the treatment and actually work the program. I felt Dr Dobner was especially very caring, knowledgeable and intentional about our son's treatment of depression. I honestly have never met a Psychiatrist like him. He wasn't pushy at all about medication and really got to know my son and even play guitar with him! Our son's treatment team overall was very good and caring. Katrina and Amber were also especially great for our sons needs and I could tell they really cared. Amber was fantaI appreciated the Lavish center for visits- but I will say the visiting hours there are somewhat limited which forces you to go out into the community which can be costly over time. There were some gaps of communication with calling in the floor speaking to the RC's and I wish we could have gotten to know some of them as they probably spend the most time with them. Overall, I was very impressed and really appreciated the time and efforts this facility made with our son I'm hopeful for a better future. read more

I was in the PHP and IOP programs in Hinsdale, IL. First thing to say is that you have to trust the process. Seems silly, but it goes a long way. Second thing is that you get what you put into it. Once you follow those two rules, you'll see positive results. There's no cure, but there is hope and there is healing and there is betterment. From the registration process with Fanchon, to the psychiatry from Dr. G... I always felt like the staff at Rogers - Hinsdale had my back. Beth and Sushma took care of me everyday, and I owe a lot of my current healthy state to them. I really wanted Rogers to work for me. After countless hospitalizations and residentials, PHPs, IOPs, medications, ECT, ketamine, CBT, DBT, etc. I was truly so desperate for something to actually work. I came to the trauma residential having newly been diagnosed with PTSD, so I had barely done any exposure work prior to coming (I honestly didn't even believe my trauma "counted" as trauma). Like prior reviews, I was encouraged to take my time, and that the timing of the program was relatively loose in order to accommodate individual patient needs. Yikes, was I wrong. Just as I began to develop some intense and scary reactions to my exposure work, they were encouraging me to leave. For the first time, I had experienced panic attacks, which became more and more frequent to the point that I they thought I was having seizures. At the time of planned discharge, I had written a long email stating how I wasn't safe to leave and was afraid I would act impulsively upon leaving with this new overwhelming anxiety on top of my persistent depression. This went on deaf ears- they said I had anticipatory anxiety when I was trying to safety plan for outpatient care, and they ignored my very high SI ratings. It was only until I sat Dr. Kramer down and pleaded with her, saying that if something happened to me, there was a written document attesting to her ignoring me. She suddenly changed her tune after that, and allowed me 2 more weeks (8 wk total). Unfortunately, as I was still not ready to leave, my panic escalated and I was inpatient 2 weeks later. I continued to be tossed back and forth between programs who didn't want to deal with me, until I ended up in the FOCUS PHP, which honestly helped a lot- it had helpful groups and strong behavioral and values-based support. However, my panic continued to worsen and no one seemed to have any ability to help. Each day, I would have severe, completely debilitating panic attacks for 1-2 hours, 3 times/day. As someone who was from another state, I felt so alone and hopeless that I ended up making an attempt. I wish the saga ended there, but it didn't. Inpatient was so incredibly challenging as someone with such bad panic. There were big male patients having psychotic episodes, jumping over the administration desk and throwing phones and other objects, there was another patient who danced around naked throughout the halls, there was another patient who lived next to me who threatened to beat me up..I could keep going. The worst part was that the FOCUS PHP wouldn't take me back "because I had already gotten everything out of it" so my inpatient "team" attempted to discharge me to an outpatient therapist and psychiatrist who I had never met (even though I obviously required a higher level of care) and because I was staying at Rogers' affiliated housing, I would have to vacate within 24 hours. I would have no place to live, no family/friends, and care with 2 outpatient providers who I had never met. This was simply unacceptable. I do think Rogers has the potential to do good- I think the combination of exposure therapy and behavioral activation/values-based therapy, plus the other art and rec therapies, have a lot of power to heal. However, Rogers cannot keep looking the other way when patients are suffering and screaming out for help. Of the ~12-14 people I went to residential with, there are 6 that I know of who went back inpatient or attempted after leaving. 1 is too many, Rogers. Please do the work and listen to patients, take feedback and formal grievances seriously. Patients like me are HURTING because of your actions. Please, if anyone has a grievance you would like to file with Rogers, or if you find errors in your medical record (I found MANY), PLEASE I urge you to make Rogers aware of this. Our 16 year old was admitted into the Nashotah adolescent DBT program the end of May 2024. They were there for 10 weeks. We were so impressed by the program and especially with their therapist, Morgan. We had nothing but positive interactions with her and the other staff that we talked with. Morgan was really helpful to us as parents, helping us understand what was going on with our child and how we can better support them. Our teen had some medical issues that came up during their time at Rogers and they were handled with care and professionalism. Even though our teen did not discharge from the program successfully due to many personal factors, they came home in a much better state than when they left. They are now able to regulate their emotions better, use skills, and are much more self-aware and able to advocate for what they need. Several times over the past month they have said in conversation and in texts to their friends that the best part of their year was their time at Rogers. They even miss it. We are so grateful for this program! read more

I was at Oconomowoc last year during the pandemic and was the worst hospital experience of my life. I have been treated for OCD for 5 years at this point and was doing pretty well before the pandemic hit. The pandemic caused me to need more full time care. They had a very minimal understanding of OCD. I was at the hospital for 3 weeks before I received any OCD specific care. It was only the 4th week that I was told by a staff member that they were transferring applicants from one unit to another because they needed to fill more beds in the other unit. The food was barely edible and disgusting and most of the time was cold. We were rarely allowed outside and were never given our daily walk that was on the schedule. We never had gym time which was also on the schedule because they were understaffed. Staff would not follow their own rules. At one point the entire staff was locked out of the med room and no one could get their meds until a few hours later. A nurse dropped a dose of my medication and they didn't have a refill so I went through withdrawal. I had to get tested for COVID and was in isolation for 36 hours and one of my meals got forgotten. The cleaning lady rarely cleaned and the one shared shower for 12 people didn't get cleaned over a long holiday weekend. You were treated like a prisoner instead of a human being. I ended up needing trauma therapy and developed PTSD from this hospital. I am only writing this review in hopes to save other people from experiencing the same pain and lasting scars that I did. read more

Rogers OCD program changed my life. I never thought I could do some of the things that bring me so much joy now. I came to Rogers with bald spots and arms covered in scars from pulling out hairs. I've been 99% pick/pull free since leaving Cedar Ridge. I owe my life to Rogers. Is the food good? Not at all. Are the staff always amazing? No, and some staff members were absolutely terrible. Is the schedule sometimes annoying? Yeah. But I couldn't possibly give it less than 5 stars because of the results. Special shout out to Mary the RA and Monica the BS. I was an employee here getting insurance authorizations. The quickest way to explain is that they are severely understaffed. The therapists are not adequately supported by management. Management pay is based on revenue generated. Hence them keeping your kids to the insurance maximum. I would not recommend admitting her, or working here. The are VERY unethical. read more

Disappointing. I called looking for help for my brother who has severe OCD & Anxiety for the past 25 years and getting worse. Their 45-60 day residential program sounds great online until you call for information. $1,145 per day and a 30 day $34,350 deposit for the program. Are you kidding me? My brother is on Medicare disability because of his issues and is at a point where he can't hold a job. So how is he suppose to pay for this? I was hoping Rodgers would be the place that could finally help him before he does something drastic. Since they don't take Medicare I guess we will have to continue to look for a caring and affordable place that is really concerned about the patient. We need to find him help rather then to keep trying more drugs to take or sending him to a therapist one day a week. read more

Rogers is AMAZING!!!! I went here to the Residential OCD/Anxiety Child & Adolescent center, and everyone was SO nice!!! I got the help I was looking for for years, and I am finally in a "good place" now. I definitely recommend this place for people with mental challenges. The grounds were AMAZING and calming, and the hospital campus was pretty. My treatment team was AWESOME!!!! I flew all the way to Wisconsin from Arizona, and I was not disappointed at all!!! :) read more
