While my kid spent an hour drawing, I spent an hour chatting with other library visitors in this lovely little library. I talked to two librarians who were very welcoming. I was excited when I saw the 1909 cornerstone in the local artwork in front of the library (I thought it was a Carnegie Library). It is not a Carnegie Library. It does offer a variety of services to the public and showcases local artwork. Today is May 4 (May the Force be with you for those who don't know Star Wars lore). The librarians had an entire art board (featuring Yoda) and a giveaway for Star Wars media. Way to be in touch Librarians! Way to channel Jocasta Nu, Jedi Chief Librarian!

I attended a class here learning how to do a small tapestry and using small spinning wheels. We…read moredid weaving of yarn and we're able to try the small spinning wheels. That was a technique that needs a lot of practice. The weaving was pretty easy. The instructor was well prepared and knowledgable of the craft. Anna was from the textile center in Minneapolis. These classes are funded by the legacy fund through the state. They are great classes at your local libraries. You do need to register before going to the class. The printing service perks are that you get $5.00 worth of printing credits FREE each week. This is very convenient when black and white papers cost 10 cents and color costs 20 cents! I noticed they had a few kids programs available which is super helpful to the community. The only downfall is that it looked like they weren't super stocked with physical books.
