Went to the sip and sample event as a family member had tickets It was a fundraiser hosted by the lions club- the VIP tickets consisted of an extra hour with Napa valley wine tastings and a sample of lost wood whiskey I'm not a fan of plastic glasses especially when drinking wine /champagne/ even a dollar tree glass would have sufficed The food booths were okay but some ran out of food right away and there wasn't alot of choice The community center is big but the sound system was not great either Not sure I would attend next year read more

The hockey rinks have terrible ice conditions. I'm nervous that they are planning to open a 3rd indoor rink as they cannot maintain the first 2 they had Gym, indoor playground, and basketball courts are great! Cheap open gym times that aren't too crowded. Concession stands have weird hours so don't count on it being open. Decent locker rooms. Zero depth entry pool with nice warm water for toddlers to play. Locker rooms have large family stalls with individual showers and benches to change in privacy with small children. The lockers allow you to bring your own lock or use quarters. I used to consider this pool 5/5 stars but the price is quite steep (admission is $8 per person starting at age ONE.) There is lots of down time for the main children's attractions- waterslide, water spray mushroom, etc... and the pool gets crowded quite fast with multiple families. The suit drying machine has also been out of operation the last two visits and general upkeep of the facility seems to be slipping. ​​ read more

It should be know that with so many parts to this community center is is always crazy! I don't think I have ever been somewhere this intense before. We stopped by on a cold Saturday afternoon to visit the Maple Maze (and indoor play area for kids). The parking lot was insane, I was not thrilled with carrying a baby so far in the snow but we made it work. Once inside staff were friendly, gave us a wrist band and no instruction or direction on where to go. Luckily I had been here about 15 years earlier and had a little memory on where to go. Once inside the maze it was a mad house! I didn't see a single staff in there, kids were screaming and yelling and overall it felt unsafe. As an adult I was constantly being bumped and run into. I didn't feel comfortable putting the baby down. We made our way to the back toddler area which has obviously been overlooked compared to the rest of the place. The sign says 3 and under but with no one patrolling that it was filled with kids of any age. Running back and forth and leaving an unlockable door open for littles to escape. Now I am all for kids getting our energy and this being the place to do it, but without any staff supervision it's not safe if you have little kids. read more

My kiddo really enjoyed getting lost in the maple maze! It's such a great size and has seating along the edge for parents to relax while their child runs wild. Thought the price wasn't bad either! We will be back to explore again someday! read more

I've taken my nephews here a few times now and they absolutely LOVE the play place. Could literally spend hours just running around, going up and down slides, and climbing seriously everything. There are some benches and chairs inside so parents can sit as well as a drinking fountain right inside. It's nice that it's closed off so I don't have to worry about losing one of them & if I need to get some emails taken care of, I've brought my laptop and the community center wifi is super fast so can zip those off in-between whatever coooky game they've come up with! read more

Only used the indoor playground, was the perfect place to take my kids to but my only complaint is that they should enforce the age groups. There were way too many kids older than 12 years old running around. read more

Definitely a great place to take the kids when they need to burn some energy! This playland is not as big as Edinborough in Edina, but it's still tons of fun! There is a small toddler area, which isn't really all that impressive. My 18 month old daughter was bored with it within a couple minutes. The "big kid" area is really great with tons of climbing & 7-8 different slides to go down. It's meant for adults to climb as well since some of the smaller or shorter children might have trouble climbing if they can't reach. I did think it was really quite expensive though. $6.50 for non Maple Grove residents seems crazy to me, considering that Edinborough in Edina is $6 and is twice the size and has a gym area to play in. If the price was right, I think I could have given this place 5 stars.. read more

With the Covid omicron variant closing schools (again), we thought better of our plans to have a birthday party here. I emailed to cancel, giving 6 days notice, and was told that the fees were non refundable. I asked if I could apply what I'd paid toward swimming passes to be used at a later time, and was told no, it only can be used for a party room rental within the next 6 months. Poor cancellation policy and poor Covid safety considerations. read more

Quality community Center with plenty of parking and plenty of different activities for kids of all ages. There is an indoor pool with plenty of activities, along with a huge outdoor pool with lots of fun activities for kids. They also have an ice rink. Be warned, it's a CHILLY rink! Especially the premier rink, so dress accordingly! We didn't go in side the indoor kids playground because it was nice out so the kids played outside and loved it. Lots of rooms that are perfect for meetings, parties or whatever activity someone could think of. Prices are a little high, but if you plan accordingly and spend all day there it's worth the money! They do have a snack bar with a wide variety of snacks for sale. The kids left exhausted and slept well that night so it was a day well spent! read more

I have used the indoor pool here and the outdoor pool here, both shared with lifetime fitness. They have a snack bar with various greasy, salty, fatty foods. I have used the indoor playing center, kids loved it. We just went to an expo there. The parking lot was amazingly big and easy to navigate. There was an outdoor playground area for the kids. This is a great spot for families to spend a few hours. On our trip to Minnesota to visit family we stopped by three times in one week and our three year old had a great time. The indoor pool is open to residents ($5.50 per person) and non-residents ($6.50) of Maple Grove. They have two indoor pools -- a lap pool and a larger pool for families. That pool has a zero-entry kiddie area with a slide for the little ones and some water fountains and spray areas for kids to splash in. The pool gradually gets deeper and has a three-story slide for adults and bigger kids. On the two occasions we used the pool -- once on a weekday and another time during the weekend -- it was busy but not overwhelmingly so. There was still plenty of room to roam around without bumping in to others. The water temp was amazingly warm. Hopefully that's not due to kids peeing in the pool. One of the really cool things about using the pool is the family changing rooms. There are about a dozen large stalls in the hallway leading to the pool that have benches and showers. It's a convenient way for families to change into and out of their swim wear. There are also coin operated lockers to store your stuff. Another cool feature in the community center is their jungle gym/maze, which costs $5 per kid. It's a large, indoor structure that'll keep kids busy for hours. There's a small area of toddlers and a much larger area for bigger kids. The large one has three slides, two of which are about four or five stories high. There's also a ball pit, climbing wall, and plenty of other areas for kids to crawl and run around. If you have younger kids, you'll have to keep an eye on them because the bigger kids will run full speed and will gladly take out any young ones in their way. For parents, there are several benches and chairs around the perimeter of the room, but when it gets busy you might have a hard time snagging a place to sit. Free wifi is available. read more

We went to the recently remodeled Maple Maze indoor playground for some play time for our 5 year old. They added some new features and it is even larger than before. One of the biggest that I am aware of on this end of town. The kids love it and are able to run themselves tired which is a good thing for the parents. On the down side the area smells like a locker room which is expected in an area full of sweaty kids. There is now even less seating than before which is a real bummer on the weekend when it is busy. The building has free wifi but it was a little slow to get connected but once I was connected it worked well. They also have a snack stand downstairs that can be handy while sitting around. read more

Splish Splash! Here we were, a Saturday with nothing planned. Our 10 month old is beginning to get more curious, more active, and naturally more bored of being at home. I figured an outing to the pool would be a good way to spend an afternoon! I had been to Maple Grove Community Center when I was a child for school trips. I look back on it very fondly! We always had fun in the pool, in the teen center, and in the ice arena. Of course, visiting as an adult is a much different experience! We only visited the pool. It was about 3pm on a Saturday in January. What I'm trying to say it is was not only packed, but it was perfect conditions for being an extremely busy day. Because this community center is very popular for baby showers and other group events, expect crowds on weekends! You've been warned. For some reason I didn't necessarily anticipate this until I pulled into the busy parking lot. Admission is fairly priced, and because the boy is only 10 months old he was free! So $16 (as of Jan 2017) for two adults wasn't bad. We went to the family dressing rooms, which are large stalls with a shower and a bench for your convenience. Lockers are also available, for a quarter, so bring a few quarters with you because you never know when you need to go back and grab something (it eats the quarter after you open the locker, so bring more than just one if you plan on going in your locker). Big notice to everyone: It was loud and busy. Busy was to be expected, and noise comes with that, but the locker room volume was definitely a solid 9 at all times. So if you have a baby who is easily scared, I'd be wary of going on a weekend. The pool is a lot of fun. Immediately when you enter, there are circular cubbies for storing towels - NOT valuables. Water is splashing everywhere and there is a ton of foot traffic. The zero depth area is great, but it is designed in such a way that there is constant splashing and water fountains almost everywhere you could sit. Eventually we waded to a slightly deeper (2.5 - 3ft) area and had a lot of fun over there. Our 10 month old had a blast splashing around and hanging onto us! We spent a solid 2 hours here, and had it not been so busy, we could have spent another hour. We didn't leave because of the baby, we left because we were tired out from the excitement! Major complaint is just how busy it was. Children were doing as children do - having fun - but an 8 year old idea of fun is too rough for a 10 month old, or even for me.. None the less, we had a blast! Beyond the wade pool, they have a water volleyball net, a water slide, and a climbing wall attached to one of the pools! When the baby grows up, this place will definitely be a staple in our winter fun. Just, not on a weekend at 3pm.. I don't know what I expected going on a weekend, but I had such a fun time I know we will be back. I would highly recommend this to a mother with kids on a non busy week day - I bet if you called and asked they could tell you what times are typically the least busy. First time going as an adult with a baby, and I will certainly be back! read more

We had my baby shower here- the meeting room space was great! Its hard to find venues that let you bring food in, have enough space for 30-40 people and doesn't cost a ton but the maple grove community center delivers. Plenty of space, tables, chairs, outlets and free parking.. i would definitely throw another party here. read more

This is a great place for birthday parties. Both my kids have October birthday- so outside isn't an option usually. I love that you get the play place AND the pool for the birthday party. It's great to let the kids run off that steam before they get in the pool and be all crazy. The staff is friendly. The atmosphere is great. The price is right. I highly recommend. read more

I take my toddler here to play on bad weather days. You pay 6 dollars to get in and the toddler area is laughable for that price. It's also disturbingly filthy ( and I'm honestly not a clean freak.) my husband and I saw that they are going to be closing soon for their ANNUAL cleaning day. From what I saw today, it needs to be done quarterly. In one picture I attached there is snot smeared all over the mirror, and who knows how long that had been there, I know it wasn't from the day of as when we bought our wrist band she told us we were the first ones there for the day. Don't be shocked if your child picks up something while here! I hope they do better, because it's nice to have things like this near by, especially in the winter ! Also, it's laughable that you have to pay $6 for that when I can drive 10 more minuets to ridgedale mall and have him run around in their play area which is 100X more clean and modern. read more

An auditorium and large hall for dining and entertainment. A large indoor play area for tots along the lines of McDonald's Playland. Me and one of my daughters came here on her cousins birthday party. We all came for the huge pool. They have 2 splash parks, a lap pool, waterslide, an area with jets, pool volleyball, and alot more. It was a great place to come for the kids to just go have fun. They also have multiple gyms, a toddler area, and a huge play center for your runners and climbers. It was only 7 bucks for as long as we wanted to be there. Even cheaper for residents of Maple Grove (I.D. required for discount.) They even looked like they have a few outside area playgrounds for the times there isnt a foot of snow everywhere. An Ice Arena and a bunch of snack bars and common areas, its a great place for a kids part and affordable for everyone! read more

My son loved the play area! It is really high and he got tired out climbing up to the top several times!

The party room was filthy and there was stuff all over the floor. The pool was closed due to someone puking in it and the other one was used for an activity that only people that passed a swimming test could do. Totally not fair to little kids. Very inconvenient for alot of us. Never again will we use this as a place to have a party. Lifeguards were also very rude. It was 60 something degrees outside too cold for them. I have heard many good things about the Maple Maze. I don't know I guess thought it would be bigger to be honest. We went on a cold Wednesday Morning. I can't imagine if that place at busy time. I think it would be a night mare. My son had a okay of a time. He is at the stage where he wants, to play with the big kids but at age 3 he is almost to big for the toddler area and to small for the big kid area. We probably will go there again. read more
