Unfortunately for our friends hosting the party, Think Tank wouldn't refund their money and were forced to rethink the activities. In my experience I found some difficulties, for instance: The teenagers on the staff were very bossy and a lot of times just plain rude. Also, during the Nerf battles the owner's sons and staff members cheat in the game a lot and are just not very nice. The owner himself is focused on safety and he modifies Nerf guns, which is kind of cool. But he is also a cheater in the battles, which makes the overall game less fun. I have attended parties at Think Tank Kids three times now I have had some fun but also some bad times. Overall, it's a great idea, but it needs to be run better. There were so many problems with this staff this last time, I don't think I will want to go anymore." Hope it helps. He makes a good point. The staff at this "business" are probably friends or perhaps children of the owner. Believe me when I say, they are not helping him. The owner seems to have the best of intentions, but the way he allows these snotty, bossy teenagers to be the "face" of his company is nothing but a hassle for both the kids and parents who are his customers. My husband was curious about the levels of players and if there were advanced players. We were told they have people of all levels from beginners to more advanced. They also have leagues and couples nights. Michelle introduced us to her husband Steven who invited my husband for a hit and they ended up playing a few games after. My husband has played tennis for a long time but fell in love with padel. Since there isn't padel in the area and he likes all racquet sports - it was so nice to be so warmly welcomed and that he had fun playing. All the members playing that I talked to were incredibly friendly and inviting. Also, I loved that they had a little workout area which worked out perfectly for me since we're visiting and I don't have any dumbbells where we're staying so I was able to get a workout in. As an introvert - I would say if you are an introvert and reading this and debating on if you should go. I'd say go. The place is nicely lit and has skylights. There are multiple sitting areas, there's music playing and the vibes are good. The owners are suuuper friendly, Ashley the person working at the desk was super kind & informative and the members were very nice. We ended up going back so my husband could play a few more games and we look forward to going back again in the future.

This place is a diamond in the coal heap of dojos littered across the PNW…read more I have been to several dojos over the years finding that they all lacked in one area or more. Within five minutes of visiting this place for the first time I knew I had found what I was looking for. Not only are there several Sensei's (teachers) that train and work with students, in each class there are also a few Shihan (master teachers) that regularly guide classes and provide more instruction than you could find anywhere else. All these respectfully fall under the watchful eye of the Soke (grand master) who maintains discipline, preserves culture, and councils members and there families when needed. He is a US veteran, has actual Japanese heritage, and has been a practitioner of the style for more than half a century. He is the best bar none. He is a jewel in the community, a and treasure to the PNW. This location is the Honbu (home dojo) of the style he is the leader of. There is no better place to train within hundreds of miles, in fact, there are people who have moved from out of state to train here. I am not a student here but my children are, and I couldn't be more pleased with what my whole family has gained by being a part of this tight-knit community.

These guys are solid! I was passing through from Washington,…read moregoing home to the San Francisco bay area where I train in Kyokushin. I've found that MMA gyms tend to be more in line with the training we get in Kyokushin than most traditional martial arts schools of other styles here in the USA, because they train hard and fight full contact. While I didn't get a chance to spar these guys, the padwork was excellent, and then there was a bunch of MMA-related balance ball stuff that kicked my butt! I went for the Muay Thai and MMA class, and I was glad I showed up. Everyone was super nice. I was the only woman there, but I didn't feel unwelcome, nor did I feel coddled. I have a lot of physical disabilities (being female isn't one of them) and the coach accepted when I said I wasn't able to do an activity safely, but he also gave me something else to do, which I appreciated. All of the students were polite, friendly, down to earth, and fun to train with. Super nice guys. They don't put on airs and there isn't a bunch of bowing and standing in certain position type protocol, but don't get the idea that they are thugs because of that. MMA people are just as chill as TMA people. Actually, they're kind of MORE chill than a lot of TMA people. The gym is huge and very well outfitted. There are a couple mat rooms, there's a room with heavy bags, there's a boxing ring, and there's a cage. Lots of striking pads, focus mitts, gloves, shin guards, etc etc. The place seems clean. There are a lot of different classes, and they are very welcoming to new people. Check them out. I'm glad I did, and I wish I had more than one day here so I could go back!
