5 Stars - KinderCare Has Been a Blessing! We came to KinderCare after a difficult experience at a previous daycare that felt unprofessional and poorly managed. My older son would come home angry and sad. He was regularly put in timeouts and had his playtime taken away for what they called "bad behavior." They even claimed he had choked another child at just three years old, which was shocking and completely out of character. He would cry and beg not to go. That's when we knew we had to make a change. From the moment we toured KinderCare, we felt a difference. The staff was welcoming, professional, and genuinely caring. They also accept 4Cs, which was a huge help. From day one, my son came home smiling. He has been happy to go every single day since. His teacher, Emily, has been especially wonderful. She's patient, kind, and really understands my strong-willed child. She works with him thoughtfully and helps him thrive in a way that feels supportive rather than punitive. She's been instrumental in helping him adjust and grow. KinderCare also recently welcomed my one-year-old, and again, the experience has been amazing. I could tell from the very first day that he had a great time with the staff and the other children. It gave me so much peace of mind to know that both my kids are happy, safe, and truly cared for. KinderCare doesn't just supervise children--they see them, understand them, and support them as individuals. I can't recommend them highly enough! read more

The place really went downhill after the new director started last June. My son was always, always sick. He caught HPV1, whooping cough, pink eye, stomach bugs, and more. I understand kids get sick in daycare, but it became way too much. I finally got tired of him constantly being sick and took him and my baby out as soon as I was able to. The teachers in the infant room still rocked and I really appreciated them, but unfortunately, that was about the only positive experience we had toward the end. read more

. This was by far the worst daycare experience I've ever had. Staff were consistently unprofessional and disorganized. I regularly dropped my child off with people who weren't her teachers--including kitchen staff--which is completely unacceptable. Teachers called out so often that my child was frequently left with unfamiliar caregivers, DAILY and parents were never properly informed. The environment felt chaotic every single morning--screaming children, no structure, and no sense of control. Even more concerning, when my child had issues with other kids being abusive . staff did nothing to address it. There were also serious concerns about staff behavior and overall supervision that made me question whether this is an appropriate or safe environment for children at all. I would not recommend this place to any parent. They need major changes in staffing, accountability, and basic professionalism. read more

Everything went well! From the first phone call and having the pleasure of speaking with Alex (the director at the time) and she was very personable and welcoming and scheduled me for a tour. I brought my 3 year old daughter with me on the tour and she couldn't stop playing with all the cool and fun toys they have! And then once Alex showed us outside... all the kids that were playing outside swarmed around my daughter and were so welcoming and asking what her name was and how old she was and asking what my name is and started sharing their tricycles and toys with my daughter almost immediately. And she felt comfortable enough to start playing with the kids and going on the play ground and toys. I definitely felt the school was a perfect fit for me! 1) the hours they are open 6:30am!-6:00pm!! Monday -Friday! And now that my daughter has been there for almost 6 months, I've noticed a lot more great things about this school. 1) they really take the time to clean up every evening and sanitize all the toys and chairs and windows and floors to prepare for the next day. (We all know how little ones are.. when one gets sick they all do!) but that hasn't been the case compared to the other school my daughter went to. I think you get a bang for your buck at this school. It's a great value with what they offer. Not only 12 hours of operation. But they have great, loving and patient teachers! You can just tell each teacher loves their students and truly wants the best for them. Which leads me to Ms. Emily! There's not enough room to type all the amazing things that she does every day with all her students, including my daughter. Not only is she great with keeping her cool and being patient with all the students talking or yelling at her at once and having parents come in to drop their kids off and some kids are crying because their parents just left and Miss Emily makes it look like a walk in the park. She comes off so cool calm and collective and is so talented and creative with each week being a different theme that is important for the kids to learn at the appropriate age. She goes out of her way to make sure that the kids have everything they need and some, she will go above and beyond for her students. She has 15 years of experience with teaching and being around young kids and toddlers she even helped me last minute hand out invitations to all the kids and my daughters class for her birthday party and my daughter's birthday party turned out great. she always communicates with me about how my daughter did that day and certain things that she said or certain situations that came up and makes me feel like I haven't missed out on anything that my daughter did that day. She truly is an amazing teacher and I joke around and say that she is like my daughter second mom because my daughter is there five days a week and adores Miss Emily and I can tell my daughter has a lot of respect for Miss Emily and looks up to her a lot and that is very important to me that my daughter has a good relationship with her teacher. I honestly couldn't ask for a better teacher to be guiding and teaching my daughter through these early years. And everyone in the staff always has a smile on their face and are happy to be there and they always say hi and bye to us. I know my daughter is safe and in good hands when I drop her off every day of the week at school. Thank you Kindercare in Rohnert Park for all the hard work Everyone does every day so that us parents can have an ease of mind knowing our children are in good hands and learning the things they need to know at their age. When they changed my daughter from tod c to the 2 year old classroom, I got a few days notice. The week she was there, they would go 4.5+ hours between diaper changes. I sent an email to the director, and talked to staff. 4 out of 5 days of that week, she got an average of 2 diaper changes for a 8 hour time. The director didn't respond for almost a week. The last day she was there, I went early because we were going to look at another daycare, the kids were all outside, and I opened the wrong door to get outside and there was a pile of garbage, toys, and trash. I was utterly disgusted. They can't change diapers regularly and there is garbage piled outside. read more

We had our 3 year old daughter go to Kindercare during Spring of 2024 while she was on a waitlist for Sonoma State's Pre-school and we had a great experience! It's a well managed facility that feels safe, provides good meals and lets the kids have lots of outside play. Our daughter needs lots of time/space to burn off energy and they were always playing outside and doing different activities. The only downside to this specific location at that time was a chronic staff shortage that wasn't at all the fault of the facility. All said and done, if we needed to put our daughters back into Kindercare we would feel totally comfortable, great place! read more

My daughter Aria started infant daycare here back in November of 2023. And so far, it has been an amazing fit for the both of us. The director, Alexandria has been so kind, supportive, thoughtful, and flexible. Jessica, a staff member in the infant care room has also been incredibly sweet. My daughter always has a smile on her face when I drop her off in the morning. I get several detailed updates throughout the day along with photos/videos that I super appreciate and helps me feel at ease. My daughter started going to Kindercare mid-October 2023. Although it hasn't been that long, we love it! I was so anxious with her going to a new daycare with more children but the staff has been so welcoming and kind. The app they have has helped lift some of my worries with updates on her care and even pictures of the activities they do! I am so thankful for everything they've done. The food they offer them is great as well. My daughter gets a nice variety of food and snacks through out the day and has been napping longer there now that she's comfortable. Her happiness is my number one priority and they make sure she's taken care of and happy so I couldn't ask for more! read more

We recently moved back to California and had to quickly find care in Sonoma County for our 1 year old. We're so thankful that we found Kindercare in Rohnert Park. The team is extremely caring, responsive, loving and we are always comfortable with how our daughter is taken care of. We used kindercare for about a year. They only care about corporate interest. There's a reason they don't have great ratings on here. Our son has special needs and they basically would not help us. I would go further here but it's a long story. Just don't send your child here. I now take my son to tiny treasures , we've been there 6 months now .. so much better. read more

Our daughter started in the infants room when she was 8 months. She's now almost 2 and loves going to "school." We love that all the teachers know her (even from the older years) and that she's made so many friends. The staff are all wonderful and responsive. So, i don't want to take back everything i said 6 months ago, but i need to add something i learned. When we first reached out to RPKC, we were skeptical because the (old) yelp reviews were pretty bad. But in speaking with Kylie the site director and touring the facility, we were comfortable and confident, and that feeling was rewarded and justified. But in the fall, things at RPKC changed. First, the school age classroom closed cuz elementary schools opened in person as we transitioned out of covid lock down (makes sense). But that was the first domino... And then a new infant room opened at RPKC. And then i think our preschool teacher quit and moved very suddenly. Then our daughter moved to a new classroom at some point (graduated from preschool to pre-k, maybe?), i'm not really sure. Then i think another preschool teacher quit, but i dont know if it was in my daughter's old class or the new class...? Then a teacher was sick so class was closed. Then there was a covid case (that'll happen though). Then there was more staffing issues and class was closed for a week. Then Kylie left. And now more staffing issues and class was closed for two days. And every time class has been canceled (happened frequently recently) we got, like, 12 hours notice. In the ten weeks since the Fall academic year started, we have gone to kindercare all five days exactly one time. Its been EXTREMELY frustrating and stressful. I am confident that Ms Megan and Ms Haley (the acting site directors) will eventually right this ship and things will stabilize and things will be fine eventually. I have no issue with them or the work they are doing. But perhaps its a condition of being a large facility that is part of a large network: it comes with some resources which are nice, but instability seems to be in the nature of the system, and instability is literally the OPPOSITE of what i want in my childcare provider. It looks like it was rough before we got there. It was great for a while now its really rough again. If exploring RPKC, it may be worthwhile to ask how long the director and the teachers have been there: i didn't know how much that mattered until now. read more

We have been using kindercare at RP since my son was 2 months old. Since the change in center director, I have seen this place strive and show a phenomenal difference! Ms. Kylie has made sure classrooms are fully staffed, circle time as well as learning curriculum is performed, and now providing a center full of pictures of happy children and there art they made at kindercare. My children, husband, and I are a military family. This center has been doing an amazing job in supporting us through times of hardship and providing support for my daughter emotionally during this time. I am thankful for this center for there time and effort and there pouring into my son who is about to turn 1 now who is read to everyday here and shows signs of early walking and talking. I have spent 16 years of my life as a youth development professional - providing direct care and supervising those who do. This includes Recreation Department activities, after-school programs, summer camps, youth sports leagues, and yes, State-licensed childcare facilities. I don't know everything, but I do know a thing or two about nurturing kids and providing quality customer service to their families. My wife has a similar background, and we welcomed our firstborn in July of 2022. To say that we were nervous about potential childcares would be an understatement. Every step of the way, Rohnert Park Kindercare has been nothing less than spectacular. Our little guy is absolutely thriving and Kindercare is a major reason why. Every day when I pick him up, I am greeted (by name) with a smile and a quick summary of how his day went. I already have a pretty good idea of how his day went, thanks to the user-friendly Kindercare app, which notifies me when he has a diaper change, food, nap, etc. Staff take time to upload photos and videos, which is a huge morale boost when I'm at work. Given my professional background, whenever I see youth programs at the local school or park, I notice things that are out of place: threats to safety, staff socializing among themselves instead of playing with the children, etc. In the five months of my baby attending Kindercare I have never noticed anything remotely resembling this. Every time I pick him up, he is engaged in activity - usually with a staff member. Sometimes he is playing with another child and staff are not engaged in the activity - but that's because they are cleaning the room (while maintaining safe supervision). In said five months, I have had one complaint: one day his diaper was not put on properly, and as a result a pair of his pants got ruined. They change hundreds of diapers per day while supervising other babies in the room - it happens. I sent a message through the app and received a response from the Director well within 24 hours, as well as an in-person apology from staff the next day. My own high standards of customer service were more than met. I've been reading some of the less-than-favorable reviews on here and am very skeptical of them. I know that everyone has a different experience, and some of these reviews are a few years old, but I am incredibly grateful for Kindercare and feel compelled to set the record straight. I have pasted some paraphrased excerpts from these reviews and my thoughts below: "They only care about corporate interest - they wouldn't help our special needs son. I would go further but it's a long story." Dude, either write an informative review or don't write one at all. Yes, childcare is expensive and I'm sure someone in the Kindercare corporate office lives pretty comfortably. However, I can attest that the caring professionals who actually work at the site don't make much money - they work there because they are passionate about children. "They collect tuition money but are often understaffed and have sent children home because they do not have enough teachers to meet their ratios." Soooo they're following state licensing requirements then? Trust me, youth program supervisors cannot magically make qualified staff appear out of thin air (we would if we could). People who work with young kids get sick; it's an unavoidable reality. Oh and by the way our account has been credited for every day this has happened. "Unprofessional staff who don't care about your child's health/safety." Absolutely incorrect in every way. They recently hired a Health and Safety Coordinator who conducts safety drills and ensures that staff follow proper illness-mitigation procedures - we receive updates from her via the app. "99% of the time classrooms have to be combined so they can 'save labor hours' which means 2,3,4, and sometimes 5 year olds are all combined in one classroom. How is that benefiting any child in their learning? They sure don't charge that 5 year old price when they have to be combined." Wow, a lot to unpack here - firstly, '99%' is a gross exaggeration. Secondly, yes it's best for kids to be paired with others their age; however, not exclusively. It's beneficial for younger kids to see the social and motor skills of older ones firsthand. Also, just because one child is three years older than another one doesn't mean that there is a three-year developmental gap between them - kids develop at different rates. And yes, when classrooms are combined they still charge the same rate based on each child's individual age - just because your kid is temporarily in a room with five year-olds doesn't mean they are suddenly potty-trained like one. If you have the emotional and social maturity to grasp the fact that there are other people with needs in this world besides your child, then you'll do just fine as a Kindercare parent. Baby MJ is very happy with her caregivers and overall the attention and dedication they give her every day. The staff is super friendly and very communicative, letting parents know how your baby is doing at all times on a daily basis through their daycare app, with pictures, comments and even videos. It's a blessing to have found such a place for her to learn and grow at such a early stage in life (9 months). read more

My daughter was supposed to start right when the Covid scare hit and everything closed. We ended up delaying her start date. Kindercare was very accommodating which I really appreciated. I was nervous as a first time mom to leave my infant under the new safety measures required. The director and staff all reassured me that they were following the new safety protocols while still maintaining a welcoming environment for the kids. In a very short time my daughter has become used to the routine and enjoys attending this school. Everyone is friendly and I would recommend to bring your child here. Did I mention I Love the real time Kindercare app. This gives me extra peace of mind to find out how she is doing throughout the day. read more

Our daughter has been going to Rohnert Park KinderCare for almost a year now (she started when she was around 7 months old and is now 18 months old). I was extremely anxious about sending my infant to daycare and returning to work. I looked at dozens of daycare options and KinderCare was by far the best option. Having a safe, trustworthy daycare for my baby has allowed me to get back to my career and be the mother I want to be for my daughter without the mom guilt of being away from her during the day. The director Alexandria has always had great communication and operates the daycare with a lot of integrity. They have an app that allows you to look at photos of your child throughout the day. My baby has a lot of fun there and has developed good social skills from being around the other kiddos. They do cute things like school photos, arts and crafts, snack time, and outside play. I would recommend KinderCare to other families looking for a full-time daycare. read more

Let me start off this review by saying how much we have loved KinderCare and all of the staff. Our 3 year old daughter has been going there for almost a year and we couldn't be happier with how much she has learned and improved her socialization (COVID babies, am I right?). The current director, Alex, is the sweetest person you'll meet and really has the KinderCare families and staff at the forefront when it comes to taking care of everyone. She has some wonderful ideas for KinderCare on how to improve certain aspects and we are so grateful for it. All of the staff are so sweet and really make a positive environment for learning. The kiddos are fed yummy and nutritious meals and snacks and are given a wide variety of activities to learn from, including science projects with a real scientist! There is no talking to the teacher or workers a n d if u keep pushing not only do u receive attitude but also ur kid will. My boy went from loving daycare to having melt downs every day almost. My (step)son attended Rohnert Park Kindercare for two years in their after school care, and I was never too happy with them or the Center Director. They call themselves a learning center but rarely was even my child's homework done. I would pick him up in the evenings finding him wound up and saying inappropriate things that he acquired. I have been working less hour and spending more time with him and finding that him and his attitude have greatly improved. The Center Director has always given our family extreme attitude and I find her to be very fake and not someone the any one in our family should surround ourselves with. We will no longer be sending our child to the Rohnert Park Kindercare daycare. read more

We LOVE it here. It's literally like a family for my daughter while my husband and I work. She has learned (and continues to learn) so much every day. All the Teachers are incredible and so friendly all the time. They answer my questions with full explanations instead of short answers. Just recently, they got an application up and running which means I get all my notifications on my phone in real time pretty much. This includes what my daughter has eaten, how long she has slept, when her diapers have been changed .... and PHOTOS!!!! All this information (minus the photos) were in the paper reports I was getting but it's nice to get them on my phone and check on her when I have a free minute. My son started at RP KinderCare when he was 4 months old. He is almost 1.5 years now and we are still there. KinderCare has always shown love and care to my son and have been accommodating and respectful to my and my husband. Over the last few months, they underwent a huge change of employees, assistant director and director. During that transition, KC did a great job at keeping us parents in the loop of everything going on and all the new staff has been very welcoming and kind. They did a great job at trying to keep my son comfortable during the change. The new director Kylie has been a great addition to KC and is great at communicating out to the parents on a consistent basis. We can tell our son enjoys KC. He is happy to go and wants to stay and play when it's pick up time! We are grateful for that. KC has undergone a lot of change but I feel it's improved and they've done well with it. We especially love the app and getting daily photos of our son smiling. We are happy to have found a great place on our first try with our first child. read more

My 10month old son just started Kindercare yesterday, and i couldnt be more happy with the staff there and Kindercare itself. Its my first time with ever using a daycare and having my son being cared for by others besides myself. I was so scared to leave my son. But they all made it comfortable. The communication by the director Kylie is perfection, i had been emailing her about my son and she was always on top of replying, answering all my questions, and letting me know how my sons first day was. As well as my sons teacher. Just from my sons first day and even before when i met the infant teachers before enrolling, i already knew i could trust them 100%. They have this app you can download, and through out the day from the moment there checked in, they will chart it all, they will send you pictures, explain what activities your child is doing, what there eating, if they ate, bathroom etc. Just the app itself made me have an easier day and i was actually able to focus at work. Haha. All of the teachers there are just the sweetest! All that matters is my son is happy and he is safe! I definitely would recommend Kindercare! :) read more

I'm a new comer to Kindercare in Rhonert park as an employee and a mother of a toddler. I have been so impressed by the new staff. Every evening on our drive home my son talks about his teachers and his friends at school he loves it here. It takes a village to raise our children and it's hard to find a place as a mom where you find comfort. I'm blessed that I also get the opportunity to work at the school as well I love watching children grow and be creative and silly and Kindercare allows for the staff to give that to each child. I feel as a mom my child is never stunted he is learning new things everyday and he is free to be creative, goofy, loving, and a handful because kiddos are all of those and we need to love each child through there stuff and this staff does that in spades. I highly recommend KinderCare to anyone. read more

You will not find a better childcare service in the area!The Care, support, and education our children receive are above and beyond our expectations. We were victims of the north Bay tubbs fire and everyone at Kindercare has been there to help us through this terribly tough time in our lives, so much so I would consider them family. They are so supportive that our first priority was how we could get our children back to the Kindercare environment and literally with in a day of being back we could see a world of difference in the emotional well being of our children. If you are looking for more than a babysitting day care and want your children to be educated and learn while in Care you will not find a better program. We are so proud of how well our children are developing thanks to Kindercare. I only wish they had an elementary school! read more

Classrooms were emplty.. there are hardly any kids at this school. Teachers looked bored and uninterested..they had no teacher for 3 weeks in the pre k they said.. classroom looked abandoned. My daughter has been going to KinderCare for 5 years. She started when she was 18 months old. They are phenomenal. The teachers are superior, the learning programs are fantastic. My daughter started Kindergarten ready for 1st grade. Shamra is a wonderful judge of character and hires only the best staff. She is a wonderful leader and role model. I have never had any concerns regarding cleanliness or for my daughters health or safety. I have highly recommended them to all since we started going there. If there have ever been concerns Shamra addresses them immediately and satisfactorily. They are worth every penny. I love and have trusted the KinderCare family with my daughter's life and have never been disappointed. read more

Wow.. what a complete disaster. My husband and I were in a search to find summer child care for our 5 year old. We both work full time and have very busy schedules. I started searching a couple months before she got out of school to be safe. Everywhere in Petaluma where we live was either all booked or didn't take 5 year olds. I found KinderCare! (The Petaluma location was booked so we tried Rohnert Park) we were invited to come tour the place and sign up our daughter if we liked it. We did. We thought it was the perfect fit. They people there (at first) were very sweet and accommodating. They told us they had open spots and all we had to do was put down 100 dollar deposit to hold her spot! Awesome! We did that we wanted to be ahead of the game. The day they told us she could start, we came in early when they opened just to get a feel for things on her first day. However, to our shock, they turned us away at the door!!!! They said "sorry we are all booked" "here's your money back". My husband and I were so confused we had no idea what was going on. Tracy the woman we dealt with the whole time, blamed it on "their system" i pretty much started to cry I was so frustrated because we spent so much of our time to find childcare and when we were promised and reassured a spot (especially because they said they had more than enough room) I was at my wits end. How can this place do that? I am still shocked! You mean to tell me you are over booked by one kid? Mine? Or did you turn away other kids too? And right in front Of my kid who was so excited and waiting to go. Why didn't they call us sooner to let us know? This place is a disaster. Do not bring your child here. read more

My son goes to kindercare and this learning center is absolutely amazing. The teachers are ALL so welcoming and friendly and truly adore the children. When my son has started here I noticed quick changes in his behavior. (I was having a very difficult time with his bad behavior at his prior center) he is happy when I pick him up, they got him all potty trained!! They feed the kids breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack. It is all so healthy and helpful for me as a single mom! They do tons of projects and have community related events. I just can't even say how much I appreciate this learning center, the staff. Lisa the director is so good at communicating with the parents. We love her! She's very much on top of everything. They give a free day for your child to try it out. I would recommend kindercare to any parent! read more

I would never recommend this center to anyone that I cared about. The building inside and out is disgusting for the price they charge per child you would think that the building would be immaculate. Most of the teachers are amazing and do what they can with little to no materials provided. It mainly results in upper management always doing what is best for the $$$$ and most of the upper management come from absolutely no experience in the field and are only hired because they come from a background in making money for the corporation. 99% of the time classrooms have to be combined so they can "save labor hours" which means 2,3,4, and sometimes 5 year olds are all combined in one classroom. How is that benefiting any child in their learning? The poor teachers are just being told what to do and have to take the grunt from pissed off parents that pick up their newly 2 year old that is place in the same classroom as a 5 year old. They sure don't charge that 5 year old price when they have to be combined. Your better off having your child go to a home daycare rather than this dump of a Corporation. Very disappointing to say Kinder Care isn't what it was 9 years ago. School age classroom has group of kids that are mischievous. I heard stories from my daughter that kids damaged the teacher's camera by putting her camera in the toilet, urinating on the bathroom floor and the teacher crying because she's frustrated due to the mischievous group of kids. Yesterday, some kid/kids thought it was "funny" to put band-aid inside my daughter's hydro flask water bottle. Thankfully, she spat it out when she realized it but THIS IS NOT AN ACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR! Putting band aid doesn't make this matter any better if you think about the sanitization. Terrible customer service, which included dishonesty. I will never take my children here, even though this would be by far the most convenient location for me to obtain childcare. They also blamed all, most of their issues on a past manager who is no longer there to defend himself. There are issues with the upper management also. read more

Two of my 3 children have attended KinderCare in Rohnert Park for the past 4 years. The teachers are caring, attentive, and educated in child development by their employer. The company has a mandatory child development education seminar for the employees once every 6 months. My children love being at the daycare, and when I show up to pick them up they dont want to leave and hug their teachers goodbye. My daughter is older and has been completing her homework at the daycare under the supervision of the daycare teacher for the past 3 years and it is always completed when I arrive; and she excells in school thanks to the after school homeork club time at daycare. The Center Director is all business, but she is great and approachable whenever there have been any issues. My children have never had any issues with inappropriate language or attitudes at this daycare. My son is younger and very hyper and has always come home with a good attitude and is never what I would call "wound up," in fact it has always been the opposite. Everyone has different experiences in life and different attitudes towards life's challenges. I just wanted to share my positive experience with this daycare. I know my children are well cared for and appropriately guided at KinderCare. read more
