I informed her that though I had finished a course of antibiotics prescribed to me by an urgent care, I still wasn't feeling quite right and felt that perhaps the antibiotics might not have done the trick. She assured me, without much of an examination, that the pneumonia was gone and i needn't worry about a thing. I pressed for her to take another listen to my lungs; she said there was no need. I pressed for her to arrange for me a lung scan; she said there was no need. About 3 days later i was in an ambulance headed to Bryn Mawr Hospital as my lung was on the verge of collapse (the pneumonia hadn't, as i had suspected, healed at all and had, in fact spread to my entire lungs). I would have died that night had I delayed in calling the ambulance another few minutes. In retrospect, and after reading some of these reviews, I might have even had grounds for a lawsuit, though I'm not that type of person. Needless to say, I immediately had my family member get a new general practitioner and tell all friends and family to stay far, far away.

After meeting with Dr. Gupta and another larger medical facility in the area, I knew that he saw me as an individual and that I would receive personalized care. He ensured that I received the proper tests so we knew exactly what I was dealing with, and personally called me to go over the test results and to discuss when I ran into an unusual side effect. The nursing staff is phenomenal - the oncology nurses are compassionate and caring and guidance on what to expect when you leave the office. Whenever I called with a question, the nurses were responsive and either had an answer or got one from Dr. Gupta when needed. I am several years out from treatment and he continues to be a Godsend. He has a confidence that puts you at ease, is up to date on the latest advancements, and can read when a paitent is struggling with making decisions and needs to hear different perspectives.

It started with simple breathing tests, which I had no issues with but he wanted two more tests that really had nothing to do with my cough. He also mentioned a sleep study before the breathing tests even concluded. They billed insurance over $5k for my visits which ended up being $2k out of pocket with no resolution for my issue.
