We drove over an hour to check this place out..The men working were very nice and helpful so the customer service was great. However after leaving this place we went to the smoke shop on 710 west front st which had everything we purchased but for LESS THAN HALF the price we purchased it for. We were very upset and felt fooled. There's nothing we can do of course because we can't return it. We are shocked at the price difference and will not be going there next year. Who doesn't love fireworks? I can't see dropping a score on a fireworks shop below a 4 as long as they have inventory. And this place has a good selection with fair prices. Bottle rockets, piccollo petes, fire crackers, mortars as big as my leg and even a chicken that blows up and pops a balloon with it's butt. We did in fact buy a chicken balloon. I mean c'mon how often you get to do that? The place is pretty messy and a bit strange and the "fireworks museum" is all of one deli case with a handful of items but the staff was friendly and helpful. read more

Battle Mountain itself is a one star town, and this place is every bit the dive it appears to be from the road. Cleanliness is definitely not their strength, and neither is affordability, but selection seemed decent as it contained every type of firework I've ever seen, plus a few I haven't. A major drawback is that they are cash or debit only, so you can't even get credit-card rewards for the hard-earned money you are literally burning up within seconds. The pyros in the family are so excited by the roman candles and aerials we walked out with, they don't seem as troubled as I do by the rip-off I fear I've just experienced. If I remember to amend my review after the $150 bag of explosives has been lit, I'll let you know if it was worth it. So far, I'm pretty sure I'd rather have a Coach purse. read more

If you happen to be driving on 80 thru NV and pass exit 231, definitely DEFINITELY stop by this place. I guarantee you will be pleasantly surprised. We didn't intend to buy anything, well at least I didn't, but ended up with bagful anyways. The selection is prolly the most complete I ever seen with some awesomely outrageous names like neighbor hater and etc. It's an interesting stop and prolly the highlight of my roadtrip for the day. This is a solid 3 star establishment. There are soooo many places to buy fireworks in Nevada. This town happens to have billboards...soooo they charge more. Way more. The guy behind the counter throws in some free extras, but it doesn't put a dent in the price gouging. The selection is good. Not great. I just wanted to grab a few things under $20 for my son. The under $20 range was lacking. They had sets of fireworks in the $100's+ range, but no cheap-y assortments. I hate waiting for a 12 year old to try and pick a variety of small fireworks. It's painful. Grab and go would have been nice after 11 hours in the car on a grueling road trip and another 12 hours to go. Look for the occasional buy one get one free bargains...usually on yellow fireworks (perhaps less popular?). read more

We were there this afternoon looking for good fireworks. As we perused the store Lynn asked what we were in the market for. After explaining our various needs she quickly and efficiently steered in the right direction. She is incredibly knowledgeable about the products having tried out several of them. We probably weren't the biggest sale of the day, but that did not matter to her. She was kind, courteous and more than willing to help us stay within our budget. As I drove along highway 80 staring into the abyss I noticed a sign that was advertising fireworks. Being from CA we do not get to have real deal fireworks if any at all so I just had to stop in and see what all the fuss was about. The first spot that I went to was one exit before the the main Battle Mountain exit that you take to get to the roller coaster firework outlet, it was weird cause they had an unimpressive small selection of mediocre products at a gas station/ smoke shop. Luckily I looked but didn't buy because little did I know that one exit further would be this mecca of explosives. Upon entering the store I was greeted by Steve, one of the Cassorla Brothers that owns this awesome shop. We got to talking about what I was looking for and he quickly helped me to pick the best bang for my buck. I ended up spending around $70 for a bunch of stuff and as I am walking out Steve keeps throwing free extras in my bag. I will be back in the area for business in June and I will definitely be stopping in to stock up for the 4th of July!!! read more

This was my second cross country trip and this time we specifically wanted to stop by THIS shop (discovered it few years back on our first trip). The guy working there is not only friendly, he is also super knowledgeable about each and every product they sell.
