My husband and I are visiting Sioux Falls and went here for dinner. I had the ribs which were delicious and the fresh cut fries also great. I am out of town here on business, this place has great service, breakfast, lunch and dinner. I recommend their tomato basil soup and the chicken tortilla. The homemade bread is out of this world! The chicken breast and walleye dinners were great! They serve fresh vegetables not over cooked. The Mediterranean omelette was very flavorful and not over done. I wanted to followup on an earlier review of mine in which I had complained that numerous times I have been unable to find the wait staff in order to pay my check. After receiving a very nice reply assuring me that changes had been made I decided to give them a try again. I tried lunch on two different occasions and I'm pleased to report that the changes are positive and I no longer have to wait long periods of time just to be able to pay my check or even find the wait staff. I have always enjoyed the food here (mostly breakfast and lunch, some dinners) so that has never been the issue and i often recommend the Roll-n-Pin to out of town customers and vendors when asked where is a good place to eat close by. As for me, I will be returning more often to my local neighborhood eatery. read more

Arrived here at 8:55pm, a good hour before closing time. At this time the staff was busy cleaning out the salad bar. Now, I wouldn't keep re-filling the salad bar until it's closing time either, but cleaning it up more than an hour in advance seems a bit early. Why throw away perfectly good food when there's people willing to pay you for it? I got the impression the staff wanted to go home at 10pm sharp, when the place closes. IMHO that's not how things work. Cleaning should be done after the place closes for customers or at least after the last customer left, which may be close to closing time. Other than wiping the tables you shouldn't be cleaning with customers present. I ordered the sirloin, medium-rare. When I received the sirloin and cut the first slice, all I saw was grey. If it weren't for everything else being in proper colors I would doubt my own eyes. I cut a few more slices, but it was mostly the same. More grey. I had to cut the thickest part of the steak to see some actual pink and even there it was only a thin line of the faintest pink. Was this what well-done steaks look like? It's been a very long time since I had my steak well-done, so I wasn't sure. Regardless, I was hungry and decided to accept the apparently well-done steak. That was a bad decision, a very bad one. Not only was the steak well-done, it was also made of rubber. I'm not a stranger to preparing steak and have screwed up quite a few times in the past. I've had steak overcooked and dry, but never have I ended up with a rubber steak in the strangest shades of pink and grey. I wouldn't know how to do it. Are there special cows that produce discolored, rubbery meat? Anyway, I looked around if Gordon Ramsey would walk in to ask me about my steak so he could start yelling at the chef, but no such luck. I left half of my steak and focused on the sides, which were properly cooked and quite tasty. It's almost 11pm now, time to go to sleep. I do hope I don't wake up with food poisoning. read more

We were visiting from Minneapolis and decided to check it out because the menu sounded good. We arrived about 8:45pm on a Thursday night. They were open until 10pm. The food was good, my husband and son had Build Your Own breakfasts and the portions were large. My daughter and I had the Lemon Pepper Chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans and zucchini. The green beans were nice and crunchy and the chicken had good flavor. The only disappointment was our service. We waited 30 minutes before we got our food and our server never checked with us after our food arrived. My daughter ran out of water and we had to flag our server to get more. I watched as the tables near us, who had different servers, received more attentive service. I would have rated it higher, except for our service. read more

Our waitress Tracy was very pleasant and accommodating! We had the chicken Parmesan and the walleye dinners. The walleye was cooked perfectly and seasoned just right and the sides were very good as well. The chicken Parmesan had a nice crispy outside and the chicken was cooked very well and moist inside. We had the strawberry rhubarb pie for dessert and Tracy warmed it up for us and it tasted fantastic! Would definitely come back! read more

Usually the food here is wonderful, I was expecting the same today...if I would have gotten my lunch. Went there to meet my dad and brother for lunch. I arrived at 11:40, I ordered eggs benedict. Half hour later my brother and dad got their lunch, I was told by the waitress my would be out in a couple minutes. Five minutes latter the waitress comes over to tell me they could not make my order, they were out hollandaise sauce. It took you almost 40 minutes to figure this out! She asked if I would like to order something else, I said no I'm on lunch break and don't have the time. I would have liked to see the manger come over and at least say I'm sorry, but nothing, not even a discount to my brother and father for their lunch.
