Beautiful, went their a while ago and the lake is pretty and the cabins have questionable taste but cozy

I rented a pontoon boat from Rollway Resort to use on Cooke Damn Pond for a summer camping trip. Rented from them last year over the 4th of July. Their 24 hrs was generous. Super nice people, well informed and really easy rental process.

NEVER EVER AGAIN! Before you rent a boat DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT let this company put the vessel in the water without walking around the boat first and looking for issues! Boat we rented was already in the water when we arrived and when we brought it back was told we wrecked the prop, when we never ever hit anything, not once, not even close! The damage was already done before we rented it I PROMISE you that, all the signs were there! The blade looked like a shark ate it and tore it with its teeth, there's no way sand or grass would rip a blade up like that, and at the lake we were at its just sand and grass(weeds) definitely no rocks or boulders!!!! I work in the industry of marine repair & know for a fact we did not do the damage! But I just paid the guy for a new one cause I didn't wanna argue on the side of the road & embarase him in front of his wife but he had no clue wtf he was talking about and should not be in this business! He told me "sand" could have done the damage lol....BULLS*IT, like I say it literally looked like the metal was torn and ripped, I work around props every day & it was a complete BS lie! I see props every day, and this was a total scam! But hey at least you guys got a new prop out of the deal right? Moral is don't let this company put a rental in the water without a walk around with the owner (AND HIS WIFE) and then sign off on a sheet that everything is good to go! COVER YOUR A**!!!!! I'll never rent from Rollaway again & I'll do everything I can to make sure nobody else does either! read more
