When I saw all the 5 star reviews I thought, no way, they must be all fake, how could any place…read morehave such glowing reviews and nothing negative?! But after my stay here, I can say they were absolutely right!!! This is the most perfect hotel/B&B EVER. I'm so glad I stayed here over other soulless hotels that were cheaper. From the first welcome to the last goodbye, every staff member here has made us feel so warm and cared for. Breakfast: This was my absolute favorite part -- I usually don't care for hotel breakfasts because I'm always on the go, but once I had the first bite, I moved our itinerary around so that we could get their breakfast every morning! They start around 7am with the bread and coffee, but the hot breakfasts start at 8am and end at 10am. I got to try chilaquiles, enchiladas, and enmoladas while I was here, and they really make them with heart and soul! These were the best things I ate during my trip to Mexico City! Also really loved the outside garden in the mornings with all the greenery and birds chirping. Location: in the heart of La Condesa, walking distance to Roma Norte, both neighborhoods were great for strolling through parks and art galleries. We ubered to other places further away and it was so cheap and convenient. Rooms: We stayed here for 4 nights and went to Oaxaca for 3, then back to the Red Tree House for the last night, and both rooms we had were cozy and comfy, with AC. They have great shampoo/conditioner and shower gel, amazing water pressure and temperature, everything was so clean, and I got to sit outside in the balcony and took it slow for the last morning we were there. Housekeeping was amazing, everything was perfect when we came back every night. Safety: They lock their front doors and the front gate so you need your key to get in, and there's a safe in every room. Happy Hour every night 6-8PM: This was such an unexpected bonus! I didn't even plan for us to be at the hotel during those hours because I wanted to see everything in CDMX, but it ended up raining during those hours and we went to one, and it was so much fun chitchatting with other like-minded travelers who shared what they loved about their trip -- We ended up going to a few more & got so many tips from other guests! The hotel dogs Romeo & Booz - I love them and miss them so much! Side note: I LOOOOVED all the art work and interior design and colors. Felt like I was in an art gallery but at the same time so comfortable at a friend's home. HIGHLY recommend!!! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!!

We were travelling from Australia. Our room and the ambiance of the house is tasteful and cosy with a stunning art collection, soft music and a beautiful peaceful garden. It is a refuge away from the busyness of the city. The breakfasts are to die for and the happy hour was an opportunity to socialise and network which is helpful when the city is new to you. For me the two friendly resident pet dogs were a bonus as I was missing my own. I can't recommend the Red Tree House enough.

Dafne was exceptional - we communicated via email prior to our arrival. She helped arrange a car pick up at the airport and also helped us book a couple massages, setting it up in an empty room as a surprise for my husband. The massages were heavenly by the way. Juliana was also amazing- she gave us fantastic recommendations on where to eat locally, and always offering to help when we needed it. A few notes about Casa Goliana - It is gated and they have 24 hour security that let you in. Area is safe and this seems standard for bed and breakfast in the area. It is one flight of stair up to the reception area. We were in a King Suite which was another flight up - stairs were fine for us, but a consideration if you have mobility issues. Location is great - a few blocks from Collima which is where all the great restaurants are and not far from Parque Espana which is a great place to walk around. Noise level - a number of reviews state this place can be loud. When we stayed, we were one of 2 rooms there. It is an old house that has been converted to a B&B - I think a total of 9 rooms. Creaky floors in some spots, and the wardrobe in the room was loud if you didn't attempt to soft close the doors. However, it didn't bother us and since we normally pack ear plugs when we travel so we had no issues with a sound sleep. Bed was really comfy by the way. Breakfast was quaint - the tamale offering is excellent - still thinking about it.

It was close to the neighborhood we wanted to stay in, so I would call it a win. They only have 8 rooms, which makes it a great BnB. The receptionists and doormen we've had the pleasure of meeting were all amazing. They were so kind and welcoming. The only downfall is the AC unit. We had sleepless nights because of it. In the middle of the night it would start making a buzzing noise, and not the kind of white noise you can sleep through either. It also didn't feel that cool at night, it was kind of humid. We didn't complain because everyone is so nice there! Hence the 4 stars for the AC... The place is homey and beautifully decorated. The mister and I really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely recommend it. There's plenty of places to walk around the area too. We used Uber, so it was convenient. It's only a 20 minute drive to and from the airport.

It was great to meet other travelers over breakfast and share our experiences in this amazing city. I felt like I staying in an art gallery and I probably ended up with more photos of the property than the city. I have recommended this place to everyone I know who is planning to visit Mexico City.

Adjacent to the dining area is a glass wall facing the small outdoor patio. Staff: Jackie was the main feature. Her warmth and cheer made us feel welcome and at home. It was our first time in Mexico City, far from fluent in Spanish, her availability and positive spirits were particularly appreciated. The kitchen staff were pleasant. Breakfast was standard: sliced fruit, toast, juice and a warmer main dish. The weekend fare was a bit fresher and tastier. Transportation: it was located 3 long blocks from a metro and directly in front of a bus line. With the connections, going to the city center is about 20 min. We opted to walk, which was about 25 min at a moderate place. So if you want to be away from the bustle, and be able to stumble across cute coffee shops and eateries, this is a good spot. Rooms: the room we chose felt very cramped. We chose the bedroom with 2 beds, advertised as larger than we expected, thinking the sleeping arrangement would be easier on our different travel body clocks. But we do not recommend it - go for another room if you plan to stay more than a couple nights. We peaked into the others and they were significantly larger.

I can't say enough good things about this place! I was truly blown away. The neighborhood in Roma Norte was just perfect. It's the creative hub in Mexico City filled with boutiques, coffee shops, restaurants, and galleries. The tree lined block felt like a Parisian boulevard. I enjoyed popping into the numerous bazaars and we walked to great local businesses like Panaderia Rosetta and Lalo. We can't wait to come back and stay there again!

Absolutely everything about our stay was perfect and we are already talking about coming back. First of all, the location cannot get better. Nima Local House sits quietly on a pretty treelined street in Roma Norte and we walked EVERYWHERE from there. To the Museo Nacional de Antropología, to lunch at Pujol in Polanco, to Arena Mexico for Lucha Libre it was really easy to explore this beautiful part of Mexico City on foot. The staff is incredibly kind and made us feel welcome and like friends the moment we walked in the door. We checked in with a glass of wine and selected our own aromatherapy oil for our room. The staff was so helpful... they helped us with dinner reservations, help finding things in the area, ordered us delivery when we chose to enjoy a quiet dinner on the roof, etc. The epitome of grace and they made us feel like they were personally invested in making sure we had everything we needed. They even emailed us before we arrived to ask us what we preferred to have for breakfast. All of those little things made a huge impact. But this hotel is SPECIAL. It only has 4 rooms- it's intimate, quiet and beautifully designed. It's so pretty, our room was gorgeous with a very comfy bed and there's a really nice, lush, green rooftop bar area to relax. There is no way we won't be staying here next time we make it Mexico City. Thank you for making our trip so special!
