Don't get me wrong, I like Wienerschnitzel, and roster pig knuckles as much as the next guy, but sometimes you just want to have some nice Italian food. I have eaten at Roma on three separate occasions, each time was excellent. The servers were over the top friendly and the food was fantastic. The antipasto was great with homemade mozzarella and perfectly ripened tomatoes. The pasta was clearly made fresh and was perfectly cooked. The pizza was terrific. The crust was just right, the cheese very high quality and the sauce was perfectly balanced. The best part is this restaurant is very reasonably priced. read more

Nice inside, friendly staff. Food was good....until my wife found a hair in her salad.

What a wonderful lunch. We had the Mixed Salad, the Bruschetta, the Tuscan Pizza, and the 'Awesome' Pizza. Everything tasted perfect, like it was cooked in a 500 year old brick over, which I'm sure it was. The staffed was friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended. read more

The portions were huge, so, maybe order 3 meals per 4 people. Me and my family were really hungry, but even the 1 meal per person was a bit much. At first I had an amaretto cappuccino which was lovely with some amaretto cookie crumbs on top. Then came the food- I had chicken escalope with white-wine sauce and fries and my family members had mushroom pasta and some schnitzel meals. The food was at good value, maybe a little bit too much sauce in my dish, but still quite tasty. Overall, the service was very fast, the food was great, and the waitress was nice. If I had room for their yummy-looking sundaes, I would've had one as well! read more

Local out of the way Italian resto with English menus! According to Rick Steves, the family established in Rothenburg in the 70's from Tuscany. The entryway is a bit awkward since the door opens to the cash register and requires you to walk into the heart of the restaurant. Great service, again - in serviceable English. Whoa! Talk about 30 pasta options around 7 euro each same goes for pizza options. Exceptional service, homely atmosphere and local beers to seal the deal. I recommend the omelets, but all food stuffs are grand tasting and, again, fit for frugal pockets. read more

This place is awesome! We are vegan and they were so accommodating- big beautiful salads, amazing homemade pastas with an incredible tomato sauce and my husband had some with an olive oil and garlic sauce. SO good! read more

It is interesting to experience different cultures and how they interact with their own and foreigners. Our experience at this pizzeria left us with full stomachs of good food but a little bit of a sour taste in our mouth. It started out odd when one of the male servers (owner?) up front said it was "not possible" to seat nine of us. Mind you, the restaurant is huge but they only had the upper eight tables available for service, and this is for dinner during a festival weekend in summer. As I started to turn around and leave, a lady got up from a "reserved" table up front and said we could sit at it and the table across the isle. So even though there was a great table at the bottom of the stairs for all of us, we accepted the split tables. We then ordered pizzas and entrées. Nice selection of both German and Italian cuisine. When our pizzas came, they were all mixed up and we shifted them around. We soon discovered some where not the ones we ordered. Suddenly the same man as before showed up with the ordered pizzas. When he saw we had shifted our pizzas around, he stated, "Its too late." When my face went to puzzlement, he looked at me at stated again, "No, its too late." He then turned around and headed back to the kitchen with our pizzas. Well, we ate what we had and it was all very good. If this happened to us in America we would simply not pay for what we didn't order. I still wonder who's pizzas we ate and who got our pizzas. Being in a foreign land, we paid for our meal and left. But I wonder, would this be acceptable to the locals? read more

Friendly staff and great prices. The food is good but not great. With all of the other choices I probably would say skip this. I got the pesto gnocchi. The pesto was fresh but not especially tasty. The portions are HUGE! I got a small portion and ate about half. The atmosphere is nice with a street cafe option. read more

Had the spaghetti bolognese, wife had rigatoni al forno, and daughter had spaghetti Napoli. All three of us were overwhelmingly happy with our food. Outstanding! Staff was fun and friendly. Great place, great food. read more

Excellent food and service! Pasta and pizza were fantastic with plenty of options. I had the Gnocchi alla Romana which was tasty but I couldn't finish because of massive portion size. My gluten free son has been essentially living on salads during our Germany trip and this was by far the best salad he's had here which included lots of protein i.e. tuna, ham, eggs and cheese. He didn't leave hungry. The waitstaff were friendly and attentive! This is in marked contrast to several restaurants that we have been to in Rothenburg where they are clearly sick of serving tourists during the height of tourist season.
