Dr. Greg Barron who is a practicing dermatologist with the Romagosa Dermatology Group in the Stuart Florida area, is without question one of the most professional physcians who has treated me in the years I have been in Martin County. His diagnostic techniques and skills are outstanding. His staff members are equally professional. I've been going to the Port St Lucie office for about a year now and had no problem with them until today. About 2 months ago I had a prescription for Flourouracil given to me which I filled. At todays follow up appointment, I mentioned to the nurse I was glad it worked because it was very expensive. Even with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO the cost to me was $105.00. She remarked, "you should have gotten a coupon and it would have only cost you $50.00. We have them at the receptionist desk." I told her "no one had mentioned a coupon to me and ask her why that was the case?" Her response was, "we're not required to." Is it just me? I want a medical provider that doesn't just do what they are required to but rather looks at what is best for me as a patient and a person. and doesn't just do what they are required to but nothing more. read more

Horrible experience with the office staff. My husband has blisters/lesions from all his time in the sun, and we were going to Dr Connelly, who was incredibly good, but passed away. Appointment for 11AM, my husband drove 45 minutes to get there, hit some traffic and arrived at the 2nd floor office at 11:08. The sign said Dr Sara Parks- he was told to go to Dr Sara's office. They told him to go upstairs- to the OTHER Dr Sarah. Elevator took forever, he arrived upstairs at 11:12. The girl at the desk said sign in quick- he has a 15 minute window, he signed in, went to use the restroom for a quick #1, returned to the desk, and another girl said, "the Dr left for lunch, you've missed your appointment, we can schedule another one." He couldn't believe it- last time there he waited over 20 minutes- myself as well. She then told him- "She left early, I'd suggest making another appointment." So 45 minutes to drive there, then 45 minutes to drive back. He called me from the elevator, obviously enraged. I rang the office manager Tara Sorvillo and she explained that it's office policy, for 15 minutes- which makes no sense because he was there within that. Then she lied to me and said he was in the bathroom for 5 minutes- when I told him she said that- he was livid, he doesn't like when people tell lies involving him. She also told me that they offered him to wait and the Dr would see him- again, he said it was a bold faced lie- so that's 2 lies to me. Had they offered that- he'd have stayed, and wouldn't be upset. The Dr broke their own policy, about the 15 minute window. and they should really give you more info on the wall downstairs- when they have 2 Dr Sara(h)s... Pulling my whole family out of there, records will go to a more normal place, when the staff does this, and then starts telling lies, it's not worth using their services. Advising my friends to change as well, after I find a better replacement. The lying is really in poor taste. read more

I called yesterday to make an appointment for my son and was told by the rude front office they accept my insurance but they required an authorized referral in order to make an appointment. I called my insurance who both informed me that they do not require it in Florida due to state law and they called and left a message for the office informing them it was a covered service. I still called his pediatrician's office to sent the authorized referral. I called back today and they told me they will not see my son due to his age AFTER making me jump through hoops and wasted my and my doctor's offices time. Unprofessional and I will never use this provider. read more

Dr. Samantha Fisher is the Best Dermatologist around. She is a doctor who simply "cares" - I went to numerous Doctors for my elderly mother before finding Dr. Fisher and nobody could help us. My mother was declining due to hives and itching and losing her will to fight. Doctor Fisher took time and ran tests and biopsies and came up with a crème and prescription oral that cleared up my mothers rashes. I wish all doctors had her bedside manner. She spent so much time with my mother she treated her like someone would treat their own mother. I highly recommend Dr. Fisher and the office staff is wonderful and professional. read more

The important part of this office is commendable. The level of care including thorough exams and treatment from the doctors is excellent, the front desk staff is friendly and efficient and wait time minimal compared to some offices. My big complaint is the accounting aspect of the practice. I was required to pay all charges upfront and since they are billing insurance for an unknown return I have no problem with that. What I find totally unacceptable is delayed billing to the insurance company for payment (one appointment was 2 months) and then when they received the duplicate payment it was not promptly sent on to me. My office visit was in November. It is now April. I have called the office twice and accounting assures me that they will be sending the refund. On a visit with my husband last week we were required to upfront over $1400 for his treatment (and let's remember I am still owed money back!) Ms. Bookkeeper said "the check would be in the mail this week". I said why not just give it to me today since I'm here? She laughed! Well it's now that week plus another and I still don't have my November refund. My time...keeping track of this refund and perhaps requiring it now being sent to a different snowbird address plus the phone calls and visit....Priceless! This frustrating part of Romagosa Dermatology brings the level of patient satisfaction down. read more
