Since it's a 32" tv, he suggested going with a new tv since the part, new would be $160+. (Aram did also offer that they had a 32" in the store for $99). Raffi was open to me making a low cost effort to repair the tv by having a $20 part shipped from a recycler to the shop. Though the part was an exact match for what was in my tv, it didn't fix the problem (suggesting it would be a more complicated problem with the display itself). I took care of returning that part. All these checks were part of the $39 diagnostic. They took care of recycling my old tv and I went ahead with shopping for a new 32" tv.

I had him do an estimate for painting a few rooms in my condo, he provided the quote and an estimate on when he could start working. Since COVID-19 social distancing rules were not yet established the start date changed a few times over a few months, which is completely understandable. I would text every 3-4 weeks to check on a start date. He replied with a date and I replied right away to confirm. The day before he was supposed to start I figured I would reconfirm that he was starting the next day since he had not said anything since asking me if that date would work. He replied on the day very rudely with "I never confirmed for today at 2 I'm booked at this time. I asked when the next available date was and received no reply. Why would he ask me if that date worked and I replied within a minute of him asking me, so it was pretty safe to assume we were good to go. He has done projects for us before and everything went great, so I am not sure why he decided to be rude. Needless to say, I found someone else that is more reliable. Sorry Artie, I thought highly of you and recommended you to friends because of the great work you did before, but how you handled things was unprofessional.
