I hired Javier as my attorney out of desperation. My previous attorney was busy with other cases and was not available. I was told that he worked and was very successful with the attorney who was appointed for my children and it was the most important factor in my decision. I came to the office and gave him retainer $7,500 cash. I work as a rideshare driver for Lyft, so I make $150 per 10-12 hours. It's extremely difficult for me to cover $650/hr legal fees, but I was willing to put everything I had to save my children even though my sister just served me with eviction notice and I was running a huge risk of having to sleep in my car. Javier explained that it was extremely important for him to make personal appearance even though it's so expensive $650/hr, but he had another case there earlier in the day and will work with Diana, the owner to get me a discount and split the cost. He also convinced me to do Limited Scope and if anything goes wrong we can just update the paperwork later. He never explained that I would need to pay the $7,500 retainer again if I needed to change the paperwork. I paid additional $2,956 after the retainer of $7,500. Javier convinced me that the Limited Scope would allow me to get a refund for the unused portion and was the best use of my money. Today I got an email with a balance requesting payment for additional $1,000. The legal profession and justice system is broken. I do not recommend this firm. read more

Before coming to Romanovska Law, did my homework and spoken with at least 5-6 other family law attorneys, and thoroughly studied publicly available information (reviews, State Bar Licensing status, etc) and found that Diana is Owner and Senior attorney at her Firm with nearly two decades of experience in Europe and States. Yes she is fluent in English, German (Deutsch) and Russian. Later also learnt she is also supported by a team of her knowledgeable legal professionals to take on the challenge. They are prompt and knowledgeable, compassionate and understanding, quick to grasp the main concepts, identify the infliction points and built a well explained strategy and execute on that plan. From what I've observed all their actions are typically synchronized with client every step of the way, however I as a client also had to come up to speed in also understanding these matters, asking questions, comprehend, study the case papers and actively participate in the process and decisions we had made. Drawing on that experience I believe active participation and collaboration is the key to success! Since things were moving too fast at the head spinning pace and we had to prepare quickly and file lots of paperwork in a short period of time. As with any legal matters there are many things that come up unexpectedly and catch you by surprise, and Romanovska Law team was well suited to respond and provide ample support, attack strategy and defense. Billing was received weekly, all through digital statements. I must note their office processes are pretty modern and most if not all of the paperwork and processes were fully digitized and electronic. From my prior experience some of more experienced and mature attorneys usually don't embrace modern practices and that causes confusion, missed deadlines and slow down. This wasn't the case here. At this point we are in the finishing phases of our winning case and I believe this would have been much different outcome had I not contacted Diane and her team. One thing that I could say - she although she is a soft spoken and calm, Diana has an innate ability to think outside the box and see/do things other attorneys fell short of. Would I recommend Romanovska Law to my closest friends or relatives who needs family question to resolve? Absolutely! I took Diana as my lawyer to draft a prenup and modify it according to feedback from myself, my partner (now happy wife), and my partner's lawyer. The process went very smoothly, despite the time constraint we had. (We were to be married within about 6 weeks.) It was a close call, but we finalized and signed on time. My wife and myself are very satisfied with the prenup, and believe that the process helped us become stronger as a couple. With that said, I recommend starting 3 months ahead of the wedding date, because the prenup may require several back-and-forth modifications.
