Judith Blair was very thorough with helping to book a recent flight and hotel stay to Jamaica. All hotels were centrally located to main attractions. She also provided a few other perks to other attractions. read more

Hello wedding review perusers, If you are considering Romantic Planet Vacations as your wedding planner/coordinator... Stop turn around and RUN!!! We got married in Playa del Carmen, Mexico on July 9th 2019 and had the worst experience dealing with this company. We had Vanessa and she was terrible with her customer service edicate. There were several times when she was unresponsive and unavailable without any prior notice. We had several emails excusing herself for her absence. First off, this company works on commissions from the vendors so they are not really working for you but to set up weddings that will profit them the most. Because of this, our entire experience dealing with the hotel and reception staff regarding anything room related was awful. Their continued response was you didn't pay us any money so any and all changes have to be made by them (which ALWAYS INCURRED ADDITIONAL FEES). And guess what Vanessa was not helpful and unresponsive. The $1000 Air flight credit is a SCAM. Thats incorrect for me to say. What I should say is please make sure you read all of the fine print very, very carefully. They will do everything in their power to not give you all the necessary details until they are no longer responsible for giving you the flight credit. Vanessa was going to set up the return flight for the credit but she stopped returning phone calls and emails so how were we supposed to book it without a person to book it with. In short, Vanessa said she was going to take care of a lot of things that she didn't. She would not respond to our phone calls and the hotels phone calls when situations came up during our wedding stay, leaving us to deal with the hotel. We contacted their management and to see if they would want to rectify anything before posting our negative reviews and to put it bluntly they could give 2 Sh***. It is very difficult to express how terrible the experience was in a short review without seeming petty. I am giving our wedding email in hopes that any person that wants a better picture of what our experience was can email us and we are more than happy to share any of the correspondences between us. We used Corinne Wilson-Daly at Romantic Planet Vacations and were very pleased with her service. She went above and beyond to make sure our destination wedding at the Grand bahia principle Runaway Bay Jamaica a time to remember. She was very responsive and cleared any hiccups promptly. She also planned a beautiful honeymoon for us at Grand Pineapple Beach in Negril which was absolutely beautiful. Our wedding group was about 100 people which can get very hard to organize, she did a great job of staying on top of things. Thank you Corinne! read more

Having heard many horror stories about travel arrangements, everything with Romantic Planet went very smoothly. Tracy Keith was receptive to our questions and concerns, and even after the airline changed our flights she helped make sure they provided hotel arrangements for us. Airport pick up and drop off in Mexico was perfect, easy and quick to deal with! I would 10/10 recommend Romantic Planets! read more

I used Romantic Planets for my wedding in May 2017. We originally booked with them in February 2016 at the Grande Sirenis Resort in Mexico. I wish we had done our research because I never would have used them if I would have known how bad their service was. The Grande Sirenis is broken out into two resorts because of its size, however one side comes with the "Distinction Collection inclusions" and the other side doesn't. Our travel agent told myself (the bride) and other guests that this was our package. Later to find out we have to pay for wifi and our safe's which in CAD was fairly expensive. We didn't receive a bottle of tequila or wine in our rooms although according to our inclusions we should have, and a lot of other minor things were missed too. As a bride, asking 65 people to pay for a trip to Mexico and then on top of that having all these extra costs that were supposed to be included was disheartening, people were upset. The worst part was our travel agent took no responsibility for it and fought with my guests on facebook, and fought with my guests via email. I was to blame or someone else was to blame, she told only ONE person that it wasn't included (out of 65 people). I posted her link she sent to me showing the inclusion details on our facebook wedding page, as she was an admin, if this was wrong or miscommunicated she should have said something, but didn't. My biggest question is, why did she book us on the side of the resort that didn't have any inclusions?? And then, our room requests, ie cribs (for four babies), etc were not on file and not taken into consideration (although submitted one year early!). All 65 guests were separated in different blocks on both sides of the resort, some guests didn't even have rooms when they arrived. Did she even submit our requests?? The resort that Romantic Planets quoted was supposed to be a 5-star resort. They should have done her research as this is not a 5-star resort. She was horrible to deal with and never once found out why our wedding group didn't get the inclusions we were supposed to, she said she'd find out and that was months ago. Never heard from her again. Bad business. I should mention all of our guests that booked outside of our wedding group received all the inclusions offered. read more

Tripcentral.ca lacks accountability and takes zero responsibility for any issues that may arise…read moreafter booking through them. They like to side-step the issues and play the blame game. Once they have your money, they feel no obligation to ensure customer satisfaction. This is true even in cases when something occurs that is not the fault of the traveler whatsoever. My friend and I were overbooked and tripcentral did nothing to fight for us against the tour operator to get us options that were fair and reasonable. Instead, they hid behind the general message of, "we are just the middleman", and proceeded to actually yell at us, speak condescendingly towards us, and even place us on hold mid-sentence when all we were trying to do was resolve an issue that was caused as a result of the incompetence of both tripcentral and the tour operator. The options they presented to us after overbooking us and not notifying us until weeks later were: 1) relocate to a resort of their choosing (and receive a complimentary stay at the original resort in the future minus flight costs) *** but the resort of their choosing was nonnegotiable, which made no sense since the free accommodation was offered to us by the original resort we had booked as compensation for inconveniencing us. So we should have been able to book another resort of OUR choosing (and pay the difference in costs) AND get the 7 nights stay, but trip central and the tour operator refused to budge and insisted that if we want the 7 nights stay offered by the resort, we had to go to the other resort they had chosen for us. Complete BS! We researched the other resort and realized it was isolated, newly opened (meaning lots of operational issues are to be expected), the beach has TONS of seaweed, and it is filled with seniors. Not our scene at all! 2) rebook another trip at today's rates (not rates backdated to original booking date - which resulted in costs of more than $150 per person for resorts we wanted) 3) full refund They screwed up and we had to pay the price. Neither tripcentral nor the tour operator lost a single thing. We lost our money for a few weeks, we lost ample time which resulted in other resorts getting booked up, and we lost more time trying to get them to amend option 1 to be fair and reasonable. But to no avail. Thieves. Con artists. I'm not sure why they even exist since everyone can book directly through tour operators and pay the same, if not less. Tripcentral appears to be nothing more than an added step through which they gain a commission and offer you - the patron - absolutely nothing. Never again. No accountability, no respect, no follow-up, and no fight to protect their customer's loyalty. I asked 3 different individuals to call me by today, and no one has. What a surprise! This post is just the beginning, tripcentral. The media world is going to be hearing about this nonsense until someone publishes the story and gives you the attention you truly deserve. Do yourselves a favor: do not book with tripcentral. Terrible, terrible service.

I got the service from this company a few days ago. Today, I realized that I was charged a…read more"mandatory" tip of 40 dollars (20 dollars per trip) for the service. The "mandatory" tip amount is not an information given on the web page neither on the confirmation email I got from them (the email only specify you have to pay the tip but never its amount). When I called the company, they told me the tip is common across companies proving the service and that's why I HAD to pay it. It is NOT true that all the limo companies required you to pay the tip, it is NOT true that the tip amount has to be $20 dollars, and it is NOT true that the gratuity for the limo service is mandatory for the customer. At the end of my call, I told them I was going to write this review so people would have full information about the price before getting the service. As a result, they treated me to take me to court if I decided to post this review. For NOT providing all the information regarding the cost of the service, and for threatening customers with litigation, I give this company 1 star.

Our travel agent, Danae Ingram, recently booked an all inclusive vacation to the newly opened Hotel Xcaret Mexico through Romantic Planet Vacations. The entire experience was super. To start with, the booking process and actual travel to and from the resort were very relaxing and well planned. We arrived at the resort later than expected, due to a flight delay but the person at the check in desk was very accommodating and even suggested where we might get a bite to eat at that late hour. The entire week flew by as there were numerous included activities, from the various included parks, the show featuring the history of Mexico, to walking the trails adjacent to the resort and even taking a boat ride through the newly opened channel to Xcaret Park which kept us occupied throughout our stay. The food was great, the accommodations were superior and the various members of the staff made our trip extremely enjoyable. We cannot imagine how Danae, from Romantic Planet Vacation, will be able to top this vacation for our next trip. read more

My husband and I wanted a special vacation away to celebrate our 20th wedding Anniversary. We contacted Corinne Wilson-Daly of Romantic Planet Vacations and she took care of all the details for us. She booked us in at the RIU Republica, Adults only in Punta Cana. She made them aware that we were celebrating our anniversary. Upon arrival to our room we were greeted with a welcome letter congratulating us, a bottle of champagne, a fresh bag of coffee for us to take home, a souvenir mug and pen. The hotel and food was amazing and we had such a wonderful time. Corinne made booking the trip a breeze and had everything set up online for us to access at anytime for payments etc. We would definately recommend Corinne Wilson-Daly and Romantic Planet Vacations for anyone wanting to book a vacation with a reputable and qualified travel agent. Our one week stay at the XCARET RESORT near Playa Del Carmen exceeded every expectation. From the moment we checked into the hotel the staff was friendly and very accommodating. Our beautifully designed room was spacious and included a balcony with two hammocks. There were always plenty of absorbent towels. The whole design of the resort grounds is a feast for the eyes. There are several beautiful pools and many small, almost private, white sandy beaches. A river meanders through the property and boat rides are included. There are three amazing eco parks within a five-ten minute ride from the front lobby. The activities at the parks plus the Xcaret show at Park Xcaret are must-do experiences. The cuisine was delicious, and there was a great variety of restaurants to choose from. I would like to thank DANAE INGRAM for suggesting this exquisite resort. Marisa read more

Marissa and I were blessed with the ability to work with Corinne Wilson-Daly from Romantic Planet Vacations who made the planning an absolute breeze, which ended up in our dream honeymoon surpassing all our expectations. In Sept 2019, we choose to have a Destination Wedding in Fall 2020. Tasha Walsh was instrumental in helping us find the perfect resort that checked the boxes for our Location, Guest Demographics, Venue Dreams and Service level. She handled all the travel arrangements across at least 3 provinces so it was seamless for me. Then in March 2020 COVID hit. She was amazing in communicating the constantly changing COVID situation. She managed changing guest expectations and family situations. We had a beautiful Destination Wedding in 2021 and Tasha was a priceless support in making it happen. read more

Bruna from Romantic Planet was amazing in helping me book my trip. I literally phoned her up the day before I wanted to go and asked her to book me something. Bruna was there to talk to on very short notice and it was booked within an hour. Day we were leaving there was buzz at the resort that flights were cancelled due to weather.
