Romanza has a quiet and calming ambiance. The server was quick to bring food and often checked in on our table. Our dinner was delicious and gorgeous. The mashed potatoes, were slightly dry - though advertised in menu as "creamy." The pasta was delicious and was some of the best alfredo I've had ! Romanza is an upscale Italian spot and one of the best restaurants in Wendover, NV. It is located inside the Montego Bay hotel and casino on the West side of the casino floor. This is a nice place with beautiful decor and excellent service. The restaurant is beautiful inside and feels very romantic. Great for a date night or a fancy meal! The menu features many delicious options as well as a nice wine menu. They start you out with a bread basket with butter and 4 different types of bread. Each one is great in it's own way and adds to the service. The salad is made table-side and their Tuscana Soup is beyond delicious. I highly recommend it! Olive Garden doesn't come close to this soup! All their Italian dishes are fantastic and come out hot and right on time. We have tried many over the years but I always love their Chicken Parm and their Alfredo dishes. The Tuscan trio is a great option for you to try 3 different things on one plate. Four stars instead of five simply because they seem to no longer enforce any sort of dress code. We showed up dressed nicely as you would expect in a fine dining restaurant to find people in ripped jeans, flip flops and tank tops. It really takes away from the fine dining experience. Otherwise, this place in fantastic in all other areas! Another nice perk is that you can use casino comps to pay for dinner here. Awesome! read more

First time, seated promptly even though we didn't have a reservation. Hostess was warm greeter. Atmosphere was comfortable and a lovely sound bububble after noise of casino floor. A giant bread basket came promptly with 4 different types. We both ordered a cocktails and they also came promptly. If we had a critique, it would be the lack gin options. We thoroughly enjoyed the banter with our waitress. We ordered a filet and a ribeye -- both cooked perfectly to how we requested, and seasoned nicely. I'd recommend the mash potatoes that are described as mascarpone. We both had Cesar Salad and we thought dressing was above average. No room for dessert. We will go back! Excellent food and the service was impeccable! We were dining with a group of six and were seated promptly, with no wait. We also had a BOGO coupon per couple with a face value of $36 to defray the high cost of the meal. We started the meal with some scrumptious, fresh baked breads, followed by a salad. The wife had a Caprese Salad. The balsamic vinegar was almost non-existent but when requested they brought her a small container to add as she liked. I had an excellent Caesar salad. For our entrees the wife had the ravioli and I had the braised beef short ribs served over mushroom risotto. The short ribs and risotto were fabulous and the wife LOVED the raviolis. We tried the ravioli, it was ok but not with the $35 as an appetizer. I'd go 3.5 but 4 is closer than a 3. Despite every last customer showing up in jeans and t-shirts, some t shirts newer than others, the restaurant could be defined as fine dining. The space is very large, well decorated for the location and it is warm and inviting. All of the booths have giant monitors with scrolling photos of exotic locations across the world. Kinda cool and distracting as well. Food: Fresh bread and numerous selections. All of the bread I enjoyed tasted fresh and they even had dutch crunch! Since moving to SLC from SF, I have been missing dutch crunch a lot! Was nice to see that. Bruschetta app was exceptional. Very well seasoned, the balsamic glaze was a very nice touch and they grate parmigiano reggiano over the top, table side. Very good appetizer. House salad was also prepared table side and I did like the bacon, croutons and crisp, fresh lettuce. However, the house dressing was too thin and lacked flavor. Minestrone soup was pretty solid. I love LOVE a good bowl of soup and this hit some high notes. I would order this again for sure. The mushroom risotto was a bit on the salty side and I think it was overcooked. I liked the flavors, but it was a bit heavy. Baked ziti was not so good at all. It was basically a giant pile of pasta, with way too much cheese, and it was all stuck together. It ate dry and needed more sauce and a bit more attention to detail. Service was exceptional. Our waitress was very attentive, checked on us often, but not too often and I thought she did an excellent job. She had a lot of tables to tend to, as the place was packed on a Saturday night, during prime time dinner service and she worked her butt off. I always appreciate wait staff because I know it's a tough gig. Tip well folks. It's an important quality of a good diner and we should all do our part to give back when we can. read more

I usually expense this place when I'm here for work. Very good intimate Italian restaurant. Great for dates. The ambiance is certainly one that caters to people who should dress up as it is fine dining, but its fine if you don't. I've gone in sweatpants before. The food is plentiful especially with the fresh made bread. Its freshly made and tastes exactly how it should be with a restaurant of this caliber. So, my only issue with the place is that it absolutely has no ability go get signal for my cell phone when inside. When I asked the staff about this, they confirmed that they too have no signal inside the restaurant. What sucks is that I'm usually eating alone, so I use my phone for entertainment while I eat. There is no wifi either. When I remembered that, I took my food to go. My meal came with a soup. The soup they put in a cup. Okay, thats fine. They threw some bread in there, and handed me a bill. I usually don't look at the bill- I just pay it. When it came back I noticed my meal was $140.00. Whoops, guess I shoulda looked at it. Didn't know how they mistakenly put one of the 3 other tables in the restaurant check as my bill. I only had one $28.00 order. They were able to clear this up, and I paid my real bill. All in all, this place is for fine italian dining. But its wendover, so it's not like there are many choices. I probably won't come here if I didn't get to expense it. I'd be fine at one of the many diners or fast food restaurants around Wendover. read more

We arrived at 5:15pm 15 minutes after they opened. The hostess said we need a reservation so we peaked inside and found that there were only a small handful of tables were taken. And went ahead and put our name on the list which only had 6pm at the earliest time. Our show started at 7pm and didn't want to be late. So I pulled out the smart phone and made a quick reservation under my brother in law's name. He walked up and we got right in. Wonder why they need to play games? The food was okay, the best part were the appetizers, their main courses weren't that flavorful or anything to write home about. Service was really good, always attentive and checking our waters and was quite funny. We kept seeing the hostess walking around giving us a dirty look. Not sure we will want to come back, unless it is for the appetizers and the desserts. read more

Romanza is the best restaurant in Wendover by far. Not only are the food and wine top notch, the host, servers and assistant food / beverage manager are too. Teena is awesome as manger, servers Christian and Lupe are the best. Ernie, the Montego Bay assistant food and beverage manager makes sure you are taken care of. The lobster tempura appetizer is fantastic and is a much better value than the fried lobster appetizer at the Rainbow Steakhouse. Also the steaks at Romanza are to die for. Perfectly cooked every time. After trying both the Steakhouse and Romanza multiple times, Romanza is the clear winner. You will leave as friends with the staff. read more

Ernesto manages the best casino restaurant fine dinning in Wendover. Our server was Claudia and she was great. Celebrating a birthday and a fine meal was our goal. The bread was brought to the table and it is tasty !! We shared the Rock Shrimp and Calamari . This is a large portion . It came with cooked onions and pickled onion slices and two dipping sauce. Then came a salad for me, and she had Tuscana soup. The main course was the seared sea scallops , the other was King crab legs Every celebration ends with dessert, and sharing the Chocolate Raspberry Mouse Bombe was wonderful. The staff gave us timely service, and we enjoyed a great location. I only have one observation, i understand this restaurant is in a casino. A small dress code would be great when I am in a beautiful location, that is decorated to give ambiance . Please consider the small dress code of : Removing baseball caps, removing cowboy hats too. The salads are amazing, nicely chilled and dressed to perfection. Staff is always on point. Do not put your nose down to this establishment because it is located in a casino. Went to Romanza on Friday night and I just got to say I the best service I've ever had anywhere. Teena was our server and she went up and beyond to make sure our experience was amazing I highly recommend requesting her as your server and even Ernesto (manger) came up and asked how everything was. I guess you pay a nice chunk for the atmosphere and the staff dressing in fancy clothes. This place is great if you want a quite, alone type meal. On a recent jaunt to Wendover, Nevada or Utah depending on which side of the street you are on, we had a fun time. While mindless gambling is not our cup of tea, we do enjoy eating in new places. The Romanza had just opened in one of the casinos (who knows they are all alike with neon and mirrors) and we went for dinner. Sadie the waitress was engaging and the food was wonderful. It was our Anniversary and we were staying the night in Wendover in an RV park. My husband suggested we go to dinner and celebrate. I couldn't imagine finding a nice place to spend a nice romantic evening and also have a delicious meal...but we did! Romanza was everything we had hoped for. Our server Claudia was excellent, Romanza salad was the best salad I've had in a long time, steak was prepared to perfection. The manager visited our table a couple of times to see how everything was. Everyone was so attentive. We had a wonderful experience. Wine, meal and dessert all for under a hundred dollars, we've paid more for less other places. We will definitely return. read more
