The food was great! The restaurant itself didn't look very promising but the food was the best food we've had so far in Clovis.

Surprisingly good The salads are, frankly, terrible. They are basically iceberg lettuce and tomatoes. Skip them. After getting those, we expected the worst. But the entrees were actually decent. And the desserts were not bad. We will return, but not for the salads. read more

Tonight I ordered the seafood special it was most amazing dish I've had in Clovis. It came with muscles a lot of them jumbo shrimp and calamari. It was amazing with the spicy marinara sauce. Meh. The salad was sad, sad, sad. A bit of iceberg with one slice of cucumber and one wedge of tomato. The house dressing is nothing to write home about. The spinach ravioli in pesto cream was tasty, a bit thick/doughy. I wish I had some more bread to soak up the sauce, we got two little rolls with our salads and no one came to check on us after we got our food. The chicken parm is pretty good, comfort food for sure. The breading was nicely crisped and the sauce tasted good. They have wine on display (bottles of cabernet) which per our server are "for show, for the chicken marsala." If you order chicken marsala made with cabernet let me know how that is, please. ;) The decor is DUSTY. Wine glasses which aren't used had a thick layer on them. Service felt slow for a weeknight with only 2 tables in the house. I might go back again to try the pizzas or other dishes, and maybe manage my own expectations a bit better. I must say that it is nice to finally have an italian restaurant in clovis. First the bad..... 1.I would strongly NOT recommend anything with chicken, such at Chicken Parm. It is easy to tell that it is made with frozen chicken patties that you would feed a child in kindergarden. 2. I have been there several times and everytime i go in, we are faced with a manager that has a hard time giving constuctive criticism to his staff. I am always turned off when i see supervision yell at stuff infront of guests. It is extremely unperfessional and uncalled for. My children even picked up on the poor treatment. now the good... 1. The pizza is great and a good change. The crust is fresh and tasty. alittle pricey but with it. 2. The garlic bread that is placed on each table is always warm. 3. If I could give it 0 stars I would. As someone who has been to culinary arts school I have no idea how this place is still open. I had the Chicken Parmesan, literally everything on my plate tasted like it came out of a microwave or a can. I don't remember the name of my husband's dish but it was listed as having a lemon cream sauce with capers. The "sauce" looked and tasted like dirty mop water. We also had the calimari and was again dissatisfied. They were heavily breaded and not fresh at all. It tasted like stale, bland chicken strips. The pizza is the only thing worth ingesting but still mediocre. Thankfully we ordered it though because we honestly couldn't even force ourselves to eat the food we originally ordered. I will definitely not be going there again and will stick to my own cooking when it comes to Italian food for the remainder of our stay here in Clovis. read more

Don't let the outside construction keep you away. Took a party of 15 there last night and we were seated in a private section. Service was friendly and professional. Hand made pasta was divine. Sauces are made in house and are really good. The kids ordered pizza from the kids menu. They brought them out first. Bonus points! Making the kids happy = making the parents happy. FYI, this is not fast food. Good, slow food takes a few minutes. I ordered the spinach and cheese ravioli with pesto sauce. Didn't get a picture because I dug right in. Very rich. We all ended up sharing food so each person could taste something different. We will definitely be returning. read more

Came to eat dinner here on the way home and it all around sucked wow waited an hour for pizza that wasn't even in the oven the hostess repeatedly told us 5 mins 5 mins when asked and we started complaining it was the kitchens fault cause they were slammed there were 5 people in there including us when we arrived eating dinner it's Tuesday I'm sure this place can't be that slammed . Really disappointed. Spent over 9 minutes on "hold" (they set the phone on the counter) and listened to the owner yell at his staff and the staff complain about the owner. Then I was hung up on. If you are going to do take-out orders, have a system. Got to the location and nothing had been put in. Others were standing around with the same issue. This is just a huge let down. read more

Roma's is a quaint little Italian restaurant with delicious food! They don't serve any alcohol, though. I got the calamari, and it was pretty good. Roma came as a recommendation and it was exactly what I was looking for. I did have a hard time finding Roma on the first pass but when I did I knew it was a good spot because I could smell the food on my way in from the parking lot! I love the smell of garlic. The menu had a lot of good options and I had a hard time deciding on what I should I went with the waitresses suggestion and it was pretty good but I really wish that I had gotten the chicken parmigiana. I was satisfied with the dinner salad that came with the meal and was impressed with the house dressing. On my second visit I was craving pizza. I was driving round town trying to figure out which chain pizza pace to go to when I remembered Roma hap pizza on the menu. It was pretty packed but I got right in. I went sight for the pizza and ordered a sausage and jalapeño. The pizza crust was a little crunch on the out side and soft in the middle and it hit the spot. So if you are looking for Italian or pizza I would look up Roma. read more

It is absolutely amazing we go at least once a week for dinner and it's always perfect. They have the best pizza and the best spinach ravioli. It all freshly made so there usually is a wait if you eat at the restaurant but if you live in the area I usually like to call in and carry my order. read more

First time ever here...on business from AZ. Great little place, kinda quietly sitting along the roadside. I ordered the "Chef Mario's Seafood Special": Mussels, shrimp & calamari over linguine! WOW! Two sauces available w/ it. A mildly spicy red marinara full of chunks of tomato and the perfect amount of basil! SO GOOD!!! The other is a white wine sauce. I was in the mood for red and I WASN'T disappointed!! They'd have wonderful Italian music playing in the background (the theme from "The Godfather" was playing when I arrived..perfect!) gives in awesome ambience, just like a cafe in Italy! I have been to Roma's several times but tonight sealed the deal. We were quickly seated and our order was taken expeditiously. Once the food was delivered we never saw our server again. Even with an empty cup on the edge of the table (international sign for bring me another) a different server had to be asked for a refill. When I approached my server she was very rude. I think its SOOO WRONG when people compare Roma's Pizza with ( more dough than ingredients, chain restaurant greasy pizza like pizza hut or dominos) Ohh !! And the BREAD ROLLS (my mouth is getting watery, just thinking about them right now), always taste soo soft, warm, and yummy, and I know for a fact that they are freshly baked every single day. With no other italian food option in Clovis (that I'm aware of) I tried this place. My pasta was a little overdone, and had too much garlic. Service was very slow. Asked for bread that was supposed to come with our meal at least 3 times and finally got it as we were finishing our food. Decided to give it another shot the next time I wanted pasta... But that time got food to go. Pasta was still a little overcooked for my liking but it was okay. Large portions, so you'll probably have some left to reheat. read more

If i could have given zero stars i would have. This place is horrible. The food is way over priced and not worth the money. They claim to have authentic, homemade Italian food. There is nothing authentic or homemade about this food. I got a salad with the house Italian dressing...it was horrible. It tasted like ketchup with vinegar! I also had the spinach ravioli. $10 for 4 raviolis! Crazy. Our waitress was never around. When we asked the manager for her he didn't know where she was. Very disappointing. The salad that came before dinner was fresh but their house dressing was odd and ruined the salad. I ordered the Billy Williams which is veal, chicken, and shrimp with a lemon butter and garlic sauce. The food was ok but it took forever to come out. They sat me under a ceiling fan going full blast so it cooled my meal to ice before I could finish it. I asked the waitress 3 times for bread with my meal and she finally brought out 2 microwaved dinner rolls. Not satisfied, I asked for an order of garlic cheese toast and she brought out a soggy microwaved slice of bread with mozzarella melted over the top. The cook was yelling at the waitresses and seemed to be pissed off about having to cook. The waitress continued to appologize for him and for the slow service. Authentic Italian food this is not. I have to say my recent experience here was weird. I went there for dinner with my wife and we could not get into the restaurant. It opened at 5pm, but it was 530 and the doors were locked. As we walked away, the waitress opened to door and waved us back. She said that the cook (owner) had just shown up and that she had locked the doors to prevent customers from entering. We ordered and got our food quickly. All of the food was delicious, but a little disappointed that the garlic bread changed. More customers came in and only one waitress, so service slowed down. Went back the next day at 11 and once again it's not open, even though advertised that it opened at 11. Not a. ad place to go IF you can get inside. read more
