If you do go with this young man I feel sorry for you, because you will be in the same situation as I am. I have another company to come fix this mess and it is costing more because it ALL has to be torn up and reinstalled. After I purchase more flooring. This has turned out VERY EXPENSIVE. I work from home, but we have recently had a lot of people working in our house who would blast music even though they knew I was working and sometimes on the phone. Not this group! Hired this company after a referral on FB. Started out well. Quote was $50 cheaper than the next…read morecheapest, and they offered to go to menards with me to buy supplies because I didn't know what to buy. Everyone else gave me a punch list. They didn't have their pickup truck due to a tire problem but agreed to go back Monday to grab my washer/dryer and install for half the price of Menards delivery/install. Showed up on time. Friendly. First day I was home all day and checked in regularly. Second day I had to work. Left cash for the balance. They installed a ceiling fan and bought a few extra items needed, so I cash app'ed Eric the balance. Work was complete. Payment was complete. All good until I get home from work and find the keypad lock they transferred to the new door does not lock. I reached out & explained I cannot have a home with door left unlocked. That is not safe for a single woman. Or anyone for that matter. Eric said that my lock was the problem. He said it may be worn out. It was less than a year old. Batteries were new. The lock was NOT the problem. I also countered the lock worked fine before they arrived, so either it was damaged when it was removed or it is not installed properly. Eric continued to argue the only way to fix it was for me to buy a brand new lock. So I went to Menards to purchase a new lock. He said he could grab it, but he would charge a fee. (Menards is 5 min from my house.) I went to Menards & sent him a photo of a similar lock to what I had to make sure it was right. He sent a picture of a different lock and said the one he sent would work better with my door. So I followed his instruction. The next day he comes in thru the back door while I'm in the living room visiting with a friend. He says nothing. Leaves without a word. Texts me that the new lock is installed and his job is done. I go to check the lock after he leaves, and I see it is only an interior lock. No deadbolt. I also see there is a flaw on the door which I didn't see the night before because I arrived home after dark. He was also supposed to leave the receipt for my washer/dryer. I also realized he left zero extra supplies that I paid for. Where are the extra floor pieces in case I need to replace a piece? I reached out and said this lock is less protection than what I had before. I had already told him I was having problems with an ex-boyfriend. I asked him if his home has deadbolts on the exteriors and why he recommends less protection for female customers? He never answered the repeated questions about the extra supplies. He said the lock was my choice to buy, & if I didn't want that one, I shouldn't have bought it. He said he knows nothing about the door damage, and I didn't report it soon enough (implying I must have caused it). And he told me to go to Menards to get another copy of my receipt. He said he did the job he was hired for & he wants to conclude business at this time due to my numerous complaints.
