I brought an antique brass floor lamp to Zito's to repair threads holding the arm on which the…read morelight fixture was attached, and to restore the brass finish. I asked the owner's wife if the threads could be repaired and she said "so easy a girl can do it." When I picked up the light many weeks later I asked her about the thread repair and she replied that there were no threads. LIE NO. 1! There were threads. Instead of repairing the threads, Zito's soldered the arm and fixture together. Of course in a very short time, the weight of the fixture caused the poor solder job to fail. If the threads had been repaired as I had been promised, that failure would not have occurred. I returned the lamp to Zito's and after it set there for many weeks, the owner's wife called me and said it would cost me an additional $140.00 to repair the light, even though I had already paid $600.00 for the repair that failed. I was also told that the second repair would simply be more solder. When I voiced my discontent and pointed out that Zito's website stated "SATISFACTION GUARANTED" the owner's wife said it did not. LIE NO. 2. Zito's website did expressly state "SATISFACTION GUARANTEED." Zito's then refused to repair the lamp. I should have sued Zito's, but an engineer friend of mine was able to help me repair the threads. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS. Kristin (the interior designer for the company) met with my wife and I and helped developed plans and gave us an estimated time that the work would take. We only have one bathroom in the home and we needed a quick reno as we would be out of a toilet and shower while the reno was taking place. Instead of the approximately 2 week time frame we were given, it took a month and a half for them to finish. I understand that quality work can take time and I was alright with waiting as long as the finished work was the quality I expected. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The staff the company hired to build the shower and install the flooring was very messy, and yes I understand that construction is not a "clean" process, but they barely picked up after themselves, and left the majority of the trash sitting on our back porch for us to clean up after them. We had to contact Kristin multiple times about areas of the shower that were done sloppily, where painting or tiles needed to be fixed. In light of all of this, our shower began to crack not even 2 months after it was completed. Talk about devastating! We contacted Kristin and had promises that she would send one of her workers out quickly to assess the situation...that "quick" response was another 2 months of waiting for someone to eventually come to our house, then give us a lame excuse and blame the cracking of the shower on the "house settling". The house is over 50 years old and has a solid foundation, the cracking was most definitely not from what they claimed to be settling. I even expressed that I would still want it fixed, and the man who came said he would talk with Kristin and she would be in contact with us soon. I have still yet to hear from her, and honestly I would not give this company another dime. I highly recommend you look elsewhere if you are looking for a company that provides quality work, cleanliness, and a gets the job done in a timely manner.

I already had an idea of what I wanted, but he was a pro at narrowing it down until I was left with 3 gorgeous samples to decide between (which he let me take home so I can SEE THEM IN MY HOUSE!!). He also instantly made me feel comfortable with both his expertise and just his personality. I'll definitely be a back when I decide between the floor samples, and I may even come back to have our kitchen floor redone (sometime in the future). New Orleans Flooring in Elmwood did a terrible job on our vinyl floors. We had our floor replaced…read morewith an LVP product called Strong Built Floors which was sold exclusively by New Orleans Flooring. Shortly after installation we started having issues with the flooring popping up and warping. Countless times we had to have them replace the broken and or warped boards. After months of this happening they decided to rip up the flooring and have it reinstalled "properly". Their excuse was not that there was a problem with the flooring but a problem with the installation. So we once again had to rent a storage pod out of pocket and move all of our furniture. Plus, we had to move out of our house with two small kids while they worked. This time they did an even worse job than the first time, rushing to get the entire job completed within a weekend. They did not allow the flooring to acclimate to the indoor environment and did not allow proper drying of the self leveler. There are too many other flooring companies in the greater New Orleans area that I'm sure would do a much better job than New Orleans flooring in Elmwood did. Please think twice before going with this company for your flooring needs.
