It shows the massage is working and how bad my body is. I don't know how he gets so much strength to do a whole hour and not be tired. He uses his hands and his forearm and body weight. I did 2 sessions of neck and back and my last session was legs and abdomen and butt. FYI: massaging abdomen has a lot of beneficial qualities, but I don't think I'll want to do it again. I absolutely loved the massage, I didn't like the masseuse. He seemed very distant and unwelcoming. My partner was the one to pay him and even with that interaction with him he felt uneasy about him and the location. Ron is amazing! A true miracle worker. I saw him a couple yrs ago before the pandemic started. I hurt my lower back doing a deadlift with bad posture. I was in pain for over 2 months. I decided I had enough and went to see Ron. I had previously seen him for a deep tissue massage years back. He stretched me and worked his magic. It was very uncomfortable but necessary. I was in more pain the following next 3 days and questioning my decision. But magically after the 3rd day my pain completely disappeared and I was back to normal. I feel like I can live life again. Hands down THE BEST massage place I've ever been to. It's a small room in a business building. He's very knowledgeable about the body, injuries and different methods of treating or dealing with your problematic/injured areas. He's the one who recommended me to get an MRI done (although my physician just sent me for X-ray) through which I found out that I have Scoliosis...! Point is, he's not just a regular massage specialist you go to in the spas! His massages are DEEEEP though! So, you need to decide if that's sth you're comfortable with...you might actually be sore and a little bruised in some areas after his session (if you have lots of knots there!)...but to me, that's totally worth it! A majority of the the reviews place too much focus on the decor--I didn't come to analyze the decor, I came in for a massage! And that's what my review will be about: I came in to see him because I basically woke up one day not being able to move my neck and this continued for three effin' weeks. His massages are not for the faint hearted but he knows what he is doing so you just need to TRUST. Although you might be sore when you walk out, after a few days you will feel a the difference in the mobility of the areas that he's worked. After the massage I was so sore in my shoulders/ trapezius muscles that putting on a jacket hurt. But alas movement in my neck has been restored and I am pain-free. Thank you Ron! read more

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I saw that there were good reviews for this place so I thought I'd give it a shot, as my normal masseuse is out sick for a while. Big mistake. I booked an hour massage through his website and showed up right on time. The front lobby is kinda creepy with two chairs that look like it was salvaged from a 70's era house yard sale. The whole office had this 70's office vibe which makes the low lighting less ambiance and more "you're about to get stabbed in a suspense/horror film" vibe. But I could overlook all that had I even been acknowledged. I entered the door and the wind chimes rang loudly. I sat down and waited for a couple of minutes when I heard Ron speaking on the phone nearby. I got up and poked my head around the corner, knocked, and said "Hello." I was within his peripheral so I thought I'd give him a minute to hang up. I got no response and he kept talking on the phone. Ok... So I waited a few more minutes and then I got up and knocked on the wall and said "Hellllooooo!" and waved at him as he was just a few yards away down the hall and the office was empty except for me. I was still within his peripheral vision but still no acknowledgement as he chatted away. Finally, since saying hello and knocking and waving a few feet away from him had no effect, I tried opening and closing the door a few times to set off the wind chimes in a cacophony. And still, nothing. So I was upset for having wasted my time driving down there and being ignored. I tried getting his attention for 15 minutes. So I called him after I left to talk about what happened. Apparently, speaking to him from a few feet away gets no attention but calling him does because all he wants to do is talk on the phone. When I told him what happened, he didn't apologize. He said, "Oh well. If you had gotten my attention I would've done something." WTF? No apology and he didn't even feel bad for completely ignoring a client. Don't bother wasting your time. Forget spa etiquette at this place, because basic customer service isn't even on the table. Having bought a Groupon for 3 X 90-minute massages, this i can say, is one of the best purchases i've ever made. Yes, the decor is not typical of a spa-like massage place, but his website pretty much described not to expect such. And his office is a little bit hard to find of you counted the room numbers coming from the elevator, but none of these should matter if you are looking for a great masseur. 5 star-technique, as he utilized strokes, pressures, as well as rationale for each of the methods he implemented. Same ways we were taught as part of our physical therapy program X years ago. I do not recall him ever using his elbows to dig deep into the knots, and his hands never left contact from my body for more than a few seconds. Remember: he is a one-man operation (scheduling, payment, massage therapist), so that alone is a feat for having a business on his own, so keep these in mind and not expect the not-so-important details for a great (therapeutic) massage experience! read more

I have been going to Ron for years. He has years of experience and is very knowledgeable. The deep tissue treatment is real and it is not for the faint of heart. I don't understand the few comments from women saying they felt he was inappropriate. He has always been respectful during our sessions and he knows his work. There are parts where he puts body weight and pressure on certain areas but he is totally professional. I don't understand the comments from women feeling disturbed by that. I had a really bad experience with him. Now, I have had many massages before at a variety of places. i have also had massages from male masseuse and felt completely at ease. However, after my session with Ron, i frankly felt violated. I do not understand the positive reviews on here. He was so overt it was almost comical. But still disturbing. During the session he pressed his body up against me and one point laid over me. he got me to turn on and lay on my back at which point the flimsy sheet almost came down, whilst he was doing an abdominal massage. I did not request the abdominal massage, I clearly requested a shoulder and neck massage, but he recommended it. Whilst he was carrying out the abdominal massage he moved really close to my groin area and had his arm on my groin. i felt really uneasy and told him that I did not want this and that I just wanted him to massage my back. After tuning onto my stomach for him to do my back for the remainder of the hour I paid for, he then decided to do a glute massage. I clearly asked him to only do my back. It was really bizarre. He also asked me a lot of personal questions and at one point asked me if i was a masochist and if I enjoyed pain. The experience left me feeling violated. read more

I like Dr. Patzer's skills and technique when it comes to deep tissue massage. He really knows how to maneuver around your muscles and work on problem areas and unlike most deep tissue masseur, he rarely uses his elbows. I love massages and I get them pretty often and I must tell you, that elbow technique is not my favorite. I think for the whole hour, he used his elbows twice and not very long. Also, as an IMPORTANT NOTE, this place is definitely not that kind of relaxing massage where they play the sound of the waves or use lavender oil and make you feel like you're reaching nirvana. The only thing I regret is not buying the 3 massages for $89.00 on Groupon. I only bought 1 massage. I had experienced shoulder pain for many months until I went to visit Ron. First off, the appointment was very easy to make. I just called, he sent me a confirmation e-mail right away. I got there and he asked me if I had specific requests, I had never had a deep tissue massage but I have been experiencing a lot of back pain so he suggested an upper body massage. It was a painful massage but I knew he was taking care of the problem areas, especially the upper back and neck. I felt so good afterwards, it was the best soreness I have ever felt in my life. Had my first appointment. I read all the reviews prior to going to him. Sooooo, the building is older and used to be a medical building but it is next door to the sheriff station which was a comforting fact. The office is small but nothing "weird" about it. He asked some questions prior to getting started and I told him that my left hip and sciatica was bugging me along with my various areas of my back. He initially said that I didn't need to remove my clothes and he would work on my hips/glutes/sciatica through my clothes. I reminded him that my upper back hurt as well. So he said to take off my shirt only. The massage is deep tissue and only hurt when going over bony areas such as collar bone or shoulder. He used his forearms a lot and occasionally elbow beside his hands and fingers. He focused most of his time on my mid back and neck/shoulders. Not too much on my lower back. He spent maybe 5 minutes on my left glute. No time on my hips and No time on legs (this was to be a full body). When he went from one body part to another it was jerky, rapid and with no sense of reason. He would just grab an arm rub it and then kinda toss it back. Not gentle and almost like it was not attached to me. I think that was the one part that kinda bugged me. The weird way he would do this. Also, the fact that he didn't address the left hip which was my primary concern. The work on my mid back was awesome. I had a lot of knots and he was very focused on getting them out. There was no "weirdness" with the massage and at no point did I feel "violated" like someone mentioned. He didn't come anywhere close to an area that would make someone uncomfortable. Overall, good massage. Great deep tissue. Just don't come to him if you want any pampering or frills. read more

I have easily been to over 20 massage places, always looking for someone who can take care of my body pains, but only getting false promises I injured myself during a crossfit exercise years ago, but I kept going to places that promised that they knew what they were doing, and didn't deliver. I went in for sciatica and, after 90 minutes, he was able to significantly reduce muscle spasms and increase the range of motion in my hips. Ron tailored his technique to align with my physical therapist's program, meet my goals (reduce muscle spasms), and stay within my personal pain tolerance levels. First impression... Ghetto ass building haha and seems kind of sketchy also a little hard to find considering the front of the building says bail bonds, you have to actually drive around to the back and then go to the 3rd floor and walk all the way down the hallway to the right, it's door 317 and can't lie the elevator was scary and the building just smelled a little seemed like the carpet hasn't been changed in 50 years, already feeling a little uneasy about the office me and my boyfriend continued to proceed into the room which is very small and quiet definitely smelled better in his office Ron greeted us and holy fricken strong handshake, which is a good thing if that person is a masseuse I guess so I knew the massage would be good. My boyfriend went first and afterwards said it was good and very strong, he has lots of muscle aches and stuff because he works out every day and lifts heavy so he needed a good deep tissue massage which he said Ron definitely gave him. As for me I had a less intense deep tissue massage but he definitely pulled out every technique in the book and really knew what he was doing especially with my sensitive neck and shoulder pain, he was very accommodating and professional you can tell he knows what he's doing considering he has at least 15 degrees and certifications hanging up I wouldn't say it was the most relaxing massage but it was more of a no pain no gain massage but not in a bad way. Still had lots of moments of feel good vibes. I would go back to see him again, just wish the office was located better and more up to date. I guess you get what you paid for. I got the groupon deal for $25 for 60 min deep tissue. I've gotten massages before but not that left me still in pain and sore. I have gotten the massage about two weeks ago and my neck and back is even worst than how it was before I got the massage. I told him to focus on my neck and back because that's where the pain was. During the massage all I felt was friction and pulling on my skin because he was massaging with little lotion. His massaging techniques felt choppy and there was pauses in between. Instead of flowing and connection between the movements. He was really rough. I can take pain but he had massaged spots of the body that is sensitive and should use gentle techniques regardless it being a deep tissue massage. Over all, my neck is definitely worst than it was before I got the massage. I forgot include that he would be on his phone during the session and it made me uncomfortable. I was only covered by a white sheet during the session. When I was placed in supine(face up) position I felt exposed, as the white sheet was kinda see through. read more

I have been to many many chiropractors/spas/massage places looking to relieve my stiff neck, shoulder and back pain. This is for last 10-15 years and I feel very fortunate to have found Ron... You can tell that he really knows human body and what causes and relieves pain. Normally with 'regular' 60 minute massage, I'm barely relieved of my pain, but I thought Ron was done as I felt so much better and he said it's only been 45 minutes... I was shocked. He has super strong hands and knows where to press for what (trigger point therapy) and I feel that 45 minute with him will be a lot better than a 90 minute deep tissue anywhere else I've tried.
