Upon entering a paint store, you are pretty much standing in front of thousands of color palettes wondering which one to start with first. Luckily we had our painter with us who coordinated with Benjamin Moore staff on what we need as color and type of finish. This was followed by the mixing of paint, once the color decision was final. Our painter explained to the staff what we needed and they just started mixing the paint and hauling it to our car. The experience was very fluid and enjoyable. Our stress melted away. This is a huge endeavor to take on alone but with help from experienced people makes it pleasant. I do recommend having someone who knows what you need to come with you as this, paired with the staff's knowledge, will allow you to get what you are looking for.

"How much paint do I need to cover the hideous lime green and fluorescent orange in my new apartment?" "How do I paint the wall behind a radiator without getting paint on the rad?" "Can you match this off-white?" This small local store on the Promenade Fleury has a full line of Benjamin Moore and Para paints, painting tools including the best step-ladder ever, wood stains, and I think other decorating things like wallpaper (which I would NEVER inflict on the next tenants of a rented apartment after my joyous July of stripping wallpaper). Service has been great each and every of my several visits. I also appreciate that they are a neighbourhood store, right on a bus route, and easily accessed without a car (though there is a parking lot in the back, which we used on our ladder-buying expedition). I hate painting so much that I hope never to have to visit this store again (good-quality paint should last for a good long while, eh?) but if and when we ever move again, they've got a loyal customer in me.

Um... this place is amazing…read more I had no idea this store even existed until I randomly decided to go in after browsing around at Eva B, which is pretty much right next door. Looking in from outside, you wouldn't gain much of a clue as to what this place is about since they aren't big on window display. Nope, aesthetics are not on the radar here. Once you go inside, though, you'll be blown away at: a) the actual size of this place and, b) the amount of STUFF. This is an industrial supply store, full of the most obscure tools, parts, etc and has everything -EVERYTHING- you could ever want before you knew you wanted it. I'm a DIY builder (artist) of mechanical, electronics, whatever and I seriously wish I'd found this place a lot sooner. Today I located an extremely hard to come by brass nut that I desperately needed to finish hooking up the latest appliance I'm working on. I had a hallelujah moment so hard, the guys working there thought I was a full-on lunatic. Everything is super cheap, super organized, and well-stocked. I'll be going here FIRST the next time I need parts. Also, all kinds of camping, fishing and other gear, too. Put it on your go-to list.
