I can't lie, I first noticed the shop after a pint at Goat Hill Tavern - Ronin is located on the second floor a touch down in the same strip. Throughout the years I have had many styles and Long has been with me through them all! He's trimmed up and maintained my long hair, cut off an 18 inch braid, and has lined up my beard every time (occasionally with a little spice). What first captured my attention were all the swords, hats, different ponytails from clients - that lined the walls/roofing. What kept me coming back were the consistent haircuts, quality conversations, and of course, the incredible greeting from his pup everytime I have an appointment! Long is a cool dude and it seems like I'm writing this review as a friend, but Long was just my barber - he made you feel like his friend though. Can't say enough good things. I decided to come in for my first haircut a while ago based on all the positive reviews. I live in the neighborhood but travel quite a bit so I get inconsistent haircuts from many different barbershops. I'm so happy I checked this barbershop out because Long is the chillest and most skilled barber I've ever met. His shop has such a relaxed and laid back vibe. You instantly feel welcomed when you walk in, either by Long himself or by his dog who hangs out at the shop all the time. I always just ask for a skin fade and Long gives me the best fades I've ever received. He was able to work with my weird head shape that other barbers are not skilled enough to recognize. Long is a super chill dude with an excellent eye for a hair cut. I've followed him around from shop to shop when he first got his start, up until now that he owns his own place. He doesn't really advertise but word of mouth from happy customers brings in new clients. Whether it's a cut or a razor shave you want, Long will do an excellent job. I initially had an appointment with another barber. To my surprise I was supposed to call to confirm my booking which was booked and payed for all already, so they didn't show. I was desperate for a haircut since I had some important meetings coming up and I found this little Gem through another barber that was closed for the day. It was a very interesting choice of decor and the barber was so chill and nice. He was willing to accommodate me despite showing up without an appointment. He quickly went to work and asked detailed questions that portrayed his expertise so I knew I was in good hands. So let's get started by saying that I've never really been to a barbershop before to get a haircut, usually I have some family number do it to save money. So upon arriving I was honestly pretty nervous. I messaged them on yelp about my concerns to which they quickly replied and gave me their recommendations, followed by a quick appointment on the same day. My dude Warren was so damn nice. Excellent customer service, and even gave me advice and recommendations on what I can do with my hair and how to style it. When he was done I literally loved what he did and I ended up driving home with the biggest smile on my face because I was so happy with the cut. Had an awesome experience here and love the haircut I got from Long. I went in with a faint idea of what I wanted for my haircut style but he was able to still give me a lot of recommendations and even hair care advice.
