He pushes his students (adult and child alike) just enough so that they grow as karatekas and people. He is great with children, and makes sure to teach them focus and discipline while also making classes fun. The dojo also has regular community events for children and adults, and all types of people are welcome at the dojo. I have made some of my closest friends at Honma Dojo. I recently attained my black belt, and I couldn't have accomplished that without the support of Sensei Honma and all my friends at the dojo.
