There were ample amount of classes to take advantage of, with many different sempai's and sensei's sometimes from out of state and out of the country! What was great about the exposure to the guest instructors was that you were then exposed to different teaching styles and philosophies even though the principles of Aikido are all the same which involve philosophy, spiritual and of course martial aspects which train in effective ways of defending oneself. The school is great for adults, kids and as a result families. The parking is plentiful, except on testing days and seminar days. Overall I enjoyed my time here. The senior students for the most part are very supportive but just like any school many of the other students are a mixed bag. Still, if you're going to train in Aikido, in NJ, I recommend here. They were stellar with handling the children during Covid and allowing them to play and learn while introducing them to martial arts. After that program ended they followed up and we decided to enroll our 9 year old into their Martial arts program. So far all staff and other parents have been super helpful and welcoming. My son enjoys his class and I enjoy all the scheduling and class options. I must also note their communication, facility, and systems are the best. There so ahead with the contactless options, app, and roadmap which is vital as a new participant. I am always kept informed early on of what's going on with any changes or updates. Their YouTube content has also been very helpful and I often refer to it when I have a curiosity. His knowledge is endless, as he is always coming up with new things to teach. He did not limit his studying and practice, therefore he has alot more to offer than most instructors. Shihan Sakataka is an amazing and patient instructor. He's not the most talkative person, but he teaches very methodically and has a great understated sense of humor. In particular, he is amazing with kids (my little sister trained with him for many years and eventually got her black belt). Shihan really lives and breathes Karate. I've trained in several different martial art schools since then and I now think this is one of the best in terms of instructor, fellow members and general morale.

The instructor, Howard, was outstanding from the start. He is extremely patient and helps focus the kids. My son has now been going to class for approx. 3 months, 1 time per week and loves it. In fact, he decided to have his 6yr old b-day party at WMA. Howard did such a great job corralling the boys and keeping the fun and energy going for an entire 2 hours. The mini instruction, obstacle course, and board breaking were all fantastic. So many parents made a point to tell us how great you were and how much fun their child had. Thanks to Howard and WMA for making our birthday boy feel especially special (he was very proud to be in front of the class). This was the BEST birthday he's ever had in his 6 years of life!
