The outcome was the worst job I have ever seen in my life , poor work , in a hurry , back door not fitted correctly . large holes left in plaster work . In short , so bad , that the fitters were all given their marching orders ! Apparently they had provided poor work in other peoples homes also. So after sending out fitters with questionable ability and expertise ,who left my home in a terrible state they did not even sort the mess out , they did promise to send someone out but after waiting several days ended up having get it done myself. I feel sick when I seen it , they also promised to come out after the job was finished to check the quality and address any problems before I would sign off for completing the payment . Instead they fitters got me to sign a form for what i thought was for paying them the cash for the job. The piece of paper was folded in 2 so I did not see the heading Satisfaction Note . Total Home N I used this to get the money from the finance company . Be careful of this company . Employees have left 5 Star Reviews on Google also .

This is one of those places that relies on returning customers and word-of-mouth, which is why they're one of those local suppliers that have a real focus on customer service (see my Gibson's Butchers and Direct Furniture reviews). For being a small independent retailer, they seem to be able to keep their prices quite reasonable. I was just in to get a mat, but they have carousels of carpet samples as well as different types of wooden flooring on display, and they have another area for floor and wall tiles. Winston the companies proprietor is primarily a joiner but recently when my mums work had a burst water tank and in turn a huge flood he managed to get the effected rooms ship shape in no time. McCelland and his associates managed to dry the wet beams in the ceiling and make them structurally sound before completing the plastering that got all the staff dancing on the ceiling. Not literally as it needed time to try, this would be silly. Watching the work dry was about the only thing they had to wait on, McCelland was rapid but did the job well. That's to say that the roof has not caved in and the job was completed months ago. They were called in at quite short notice due to the state of the home. If the same urgency was shown by other tradesmen we would have buildings going up more often than Jeremy Kyle does a DNA test. I highly recommend McCelland for any household or business joinery problem.
