Don't have or won't give an "Owner's Manual", don't/won't give warranty details, inconsistent responses and incorrect technical responses, and gets "annoyed" by the multiple emails you send because they don't actually answer the questions in your email. Getting the solar switched to my accounts went pretty smoothly as well as initial conversations and questions. I am an engineer, so I like to understand how things work. In my defense I asked for an "owner's manual" that may explain the specific installation - which would have saved a ton of the conversation. I also asked why the two apps (Enphase vs Solark) shows over a 30% difference in production, which the sales person shared generic explanation several items such as line loss and conversion loss, etc. but nothing specific. The solar panels are on my roof and the "line" is like 20 feet to my basement and its not conversion lost because the Ephase app reports in AC and goes into the AC side of Solark. Most solar people I know are very in tune with their electrical production numbers, so I would think this level of discrepancy would be clearly understood. It was things like this that made me not really trust MSS. Then the leaks started happening. Leaks for 2 years in 2 different rooms, every time there was a melt. At first I thought maybe it was ice dams, but it even occurred in the winter when there was no ice build up yet. I asked if there was any warranty or what it was, but never got an answer..instead I got like 6 emails and quotes for a water leak test. Again - MSS - I only experienced leaks in the winter. Not during rain...so not sure what a water leak test would achieve. All I asked of MSS was what was their warranty (if any, since I am the 2nd owner), as I did not want to void any warranty. All I got in response was another suggestion for a $450 water test for leaks (once the weather was warm enough) - however, the leaks only happen during the winter melt and not during the summer rain. I ended up paying thousands to a different contractor to look into my leaks and even had them remove the ceiling of my room with the leaks. Ironically, the contractor happens to do work with MSS. They opened the ceiling up and found what they told me was obvious evidence that the Solar panels were causing problems. So I reached out to MSS and explained to them the "findings" and let them know that I had paid to open my ceiling up and asking if they would like to send a supervisor over to take a look. The response was really weird: No response for like 3 days, then I get an email or text saying that an appointment for a leak test has been scheduled. Again..it doesn't leak when it rains, only in the cold. then a few days later I get an email from some middle management guy. He didn't show any empathy nor did he even discuss my offer to come take a look. Instead - apparently he is a keyboard warrior and is able to do a thorough analysis and came to the conclusion that the leaking was due to pre-existing conditions because the unsecured wood blocking and rusty bolts were not "MSS standard operating procedures". This guy is the first trades person I have ever met who prefers to assess from a computer instead in person. He than questioned why I insist that MSS did an improper installation since my house rafters were 24" on center. I pointed out to him, that my rafters are actually 16" on center, and had he come and take a look, it would be pretty obvious. Also, the set diagrams that MSS drew up, shows over 17 Flashfoot2 installed not on the rafters. Again, he responded that those diagrams are merely suggestions and incorrect - which is interesting and I might have to check with my local building permit office. He stated that this will be the end of communications unless I want to pay for them to investigate...again I'm flying blind since they won't send me what the warranty is. And so I responded with a thank you and asked if I can at least get the warranty information if any...to find out I have been blocked. Finally got an email saying my warranty for installation is only 3 years and expired. I presented evidence that the contractor I paid for (who by the way actually works with MSS...lol) told me. I'm clearly not in a money grab, being that I've already paid thousands to investigate the leaks myself...because frankly even having a civil conversation with MSS is a chore. I just always like to give a company a chance to do the right thing.

From the initial contact analysis through installation, the Solar Harvest team was there to answer questions and make sure everything worked as advertised. For three years, we were making electricity at the targeted level with no problems. In late summer of 2021, our panels stopped producing. Solar Harvest sent out a crew to see what the problem was. Turns out the microinverters were not working and the engineer from Solar Harvest contacted Sun Power Company that manufactures the electrical components, and the next week they were back, replacing the necessary parts. We are back making electricity. Everything was covered under Sun Power's comprehensive warranty. I find the trust in a company is not achieved only by the initial service provided, but through continued service to their customers. I'm glad we chose Solar Harvest for our solar power needs.

However, after spending $52,804 for the installation of 43 Solar Panels in 2023 & $16,430 for three Storage Batteries in 2024, or a total of $69,304, we have not seen a beneficial decrease in our electrical expense. Our electrical expense for the first six months ending June 30, 2022 and June 30, 2025 was $1,968 & $1,242, respectively, or approximately $3,936 & $2,484 on annualized basis, which is a reduction of only $1,452. On a straight line basis, it's going to take 47 years to justify the expense of our solar system. We've been accused of using more electricity (not true; in fact, we use less electricity, since we are more energy conscious). Strawberry Solar and their product partner Enphase were responsive at first, making adjustments here and there. Now, jStrawberry Solar has gone radio-silent.
