We have furnished nearly our entire home from Rooms To Go. DO NOT WORK WITH TERRY (middle-age man). He helped us multiple times and each time I didn't care for the way he spoke to me but this last time he had the nerve to literally wave me off (shoo me away with his hand) and said, "your fine" to dismiss me. This is after my husband and I were literally speaking to another sales associate, whom we were already working with for a few days. The misogynist, Terry interrupted us by walking between us and started talking- like who are you?! Who does that? Gross behavior. The other associate apologized to us profusely. He lost the sale for the entire business. The reason we did not want to work with him again before this incident is his lack of integrity; all he cares about is his commission. Everything was fine until the delivery driver dragged the biggest piece of my new bedroom set into the bedroom by his self and broke my ceiling fan. Careless mistake, but should be easy to correct and fix yes? Apparently not. Trying to communicate with their claims department is an absolute nightmare. I even have full audio recording of the guys confession that he did it. My ceiling fan has been broken for over a month in summertime above my new bedroom set. Not awesome. My bedroom set has the smell of chemicals like formaldehyde and after rehashing my clothing for the second time, multiple headaches, have moved the set to our unused den. I ordered a bedroom set and it came in a timely manor, delivery was excellent.I went online Rooms To Go to order Lamps for this room and another room, payment was taken immediately, I never got a notification when I would get my lamps so I called the store and they said it was ordered online and I was to deal directly with the distributor and they gave me the number this was in July!! I never got an answer of when only possibly by August 24 they would be in the center, then I would get notice within 48 hours when shipping. still no lamps no date and the one g said if I want to cancel I can!!! when I ordered them it did not say unknown date of deliver. can't get help and I guess is Better Business Bureau. read more

UNACCEPTABLE! DO NOT BUY FROM ROOMS TO GO EVER! I am thoroughly FRUSTRATED, ANGRY, and DISAPPOINTED in Rooms to Go. I purchased a $2000 table, with 2 bar stools, and two benches along with a warranty plan, a little over a year ago. The table is splitting, the benches have fallen apart, and the chairs are loose. I submitted a claim to Guardian on 1/19/23. An initial authorization was given for the table and chairs. A technician came out and looked at the chairs and tightened them and told me that I would need to continually tighten them as they would loosen. He informed me that the table was splitting because of poor workmanship and that the wood used would split if any water was wasted on the table, even if it was wiped immediately. There would be no way to avoid the warping or splitting of the wood. He also told me that there had been other customers that had experienced the same exact issue. While at my home he looked at the benches, even though Rooms to Go had not received the authorization. He indicated that although the benches should be replaced that Rooms to Go would only repair them. Guardian reviewed the technician's notes on the benches and issued a replacement authorization on 2/14, which was sent to Rooms to Go. I received an email from Guardian stating that the authorization had been sent and that Rooms to Go would reach out to me to schedule replacement. As of today, I have not heard from Rooms to Go. I called them on 3/6 to check the status of the authorization and was told that they had not received an authorization from Guardian. I was transferred to a Guardian representative, who was extremely helpful. She checked in the system and saw where the authorization had in fact been sent on 2/14. She reached out to Rooms to Go, while I was on the phone to verify that the claim had been sent and was told that they did not have the authorization. After we hung up with Rooms to Go, she reached out to the Guardian claim specialist to have the authorization resent and asked that I be followed up with. I received an email the next day from the account specialist indicating that the authorization had been sent again and that Rooms to Go would be reaching out in 3 business days. I still have not heard from Rooms to Go. I called this morning and was told that they did not have an authorization, but if I provided the authorization number, they would schedule a technician to come out to look at the benches. I explained to the rep that their technician had already looked at the benches on a previous visit. I also informed her that Guardian had issued an authorization for replacement. I was told that the technician wrote in his notes that he would order parts to repair the benches. At this point I am beyond FRUSTRATED! I was told that if I did not want to schedule a service appointment for the technician to come out and wanted a replacement, she could transfer me to the department that would help me with the replacement. I asked to be transferred with the understanding that I was going to a department within Rooms to Go that would help with the replacement. HOWEVER, I was transferred back to Guardian, the warranty company. Fortunately for me I was able to talk with the previous Guardian rep that helped me on 3/6. She once again indicated that the authorization had been sent for replacement on 3/7 and that Rooms to Go should've contacted me for replacement. She reached back out to the claims specialist to have her follow up with Rooms to Go. She also saw where the account specialist had asked in her email to them on 3/7 that Rooms to Go acknowledge receipt of the authorization, which they have yet to do. It is UNACCEPTABLE that I am being forced to live with furniture that is unusable, shoddily made, and this company will not standby the warranty that they are selling to their customers. It is unconscionable that I am being lied to and expected to live with this. I have spent my hard-earned money on furniture and expect that it should be serviceable and not fall apart or have poor workmanship. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM ROOMS TO GO EVER AGAIN AND WILL ENSURE THAT I LET EVERYONE THAT I KNOW NOT TO EITHER. I am a disabled veteran, who spent 23 years in the military serving this country and expect better from US companies! Purchased a bedroom set of furniture. The delivery came on time, the install without a hitch, and when I found a problem with the mirror they immediately scheduled a replacement. They came and replaced the mirror and all was great. Customer service called to check on my satisfaction for the install, the replacement mirror, and a week or so later to make sure there were no more issues. Since then I have purchased a bed for my son out of state, a crib, and a chair for the new mom and all went well there. No problems here, a credit agency is that ... you decide to use. i really wish that i could give a better review, or give a split review, because my experiences with rooms to go were like i was dealing with two different companies. the in-store experience was great. there's absolutely no pressure from the salespeople. they are helpful and friendly and knowledgeable. and then they stay out of your way, except answer any questions you have, and then they're right there. the prices are fair, and the quality is more than adequate. i thought they had a fairly nice selection for this location. if it were nothing but the in-store experience driving my decision i would definitely go back. but it isn't. the delivery experience it's beyond awful. they apparently have no one who knows how to schedule truck loading and crew balancing. it's taken two deliveries to get our initial order correct. the first delivery was promised between 12 and 4 on a wednesday and it never came after being delayed four times. they skipped thursday all together and finally got our furniture to us friday afternoon. only to find out they had sent the wrong loveseat in what was supposed to be a matching sofa and loveseat set. if you sell furniture by the room how you get it wrong i'll never know. yesterday they delivered the correct loveseat... after 9 at night. promised from 11 to 3. and one of the two tables we had ordered was not on the truck. But that's not the best part. When somebody called from their dispatch office to tell me of the delay, I complained about it pretty hard. The man's response to me on the phone was, and I quote, 'sir it's 10 degrees out there'. We live in Macon, Georgia. At the time it was 63 degrees. not only do they not know who what they're doing they don't even know who it is they're talking to when they make the phone call. like i said if i could give two reviews i would. the in-store experience would likely get 5 stars. the delivery would be off the scale negative. buyer beware. read more

Hmmm, I'm considering buying another mattress set from them but now after reading all the bad reviews on delivery, memories of my own bad experiences flood back. First thing I notice on the five star reviews is that those people have written very few reviews and that makes me wonder if they're trying to stuff the reviews. The Macon store is clean, bright and well staffed. Maybe that's the problem. Maybe the sales people work on commission and hop from customer to customer. The guy who helped me was nice enough and when I said I wanted a mattress set for the spare bedroom pointed me NOT to the most expensive sets but the ones online I was thinking of buying anyway. He pushed the mattress cover on me that is soft but waterproof and prevents stains from getting on it. It's like 60 bucks. "Why would you NOT want to get this?" Well, looking back a good reason to NOT get it is that fact that they're 20 to 30 bucks around town or online. So, I was thinking about living room furniture, kind of liked what they had but mentioned I should measure first. Time for you to go. He was ready for me to get gone! Two sentences would have sold me on it and rather than just a mattress, it would have been that plus a whole living room suite. I asked if I could have it delivered on Wed which happened to be the next day. I didn't, per se, ask for next day delivery. Sure, sure, sure. When he got my name and the deal sealed, yep, he was ready for me to walk out that door. I then said I'd like a time sometime in the afternoon. Even ATT, one of the worst companies Iv'e ever had to deal with gives you an option for repair/installs. This guy says to me that"delivery starts at 7:00 a.m. and ends at 10:00 p.m. It's a long day." I leave, not very happy about it and the more I think about it, kind of getting mad. From what he told me, I'd need to get up at 6:30 a.m. to be ready for a delivery possibly at 7:00 a.m. but wait around until 10:00 p.m. I called their 800 number to cancel this order because I wasn't going to do that. She said it's because you asked for "next day delivery." She said that they could now narrow it down to around 2:00 p.m. the next day. Fine. I accept that. They miss that time, they call to say they'll be here around 4:00 p.m., miss that time and get here around 5:00 p.m. I thought the driver was supposed to call and say we'll be there in a few minutes or something. I look out to see a truck unloading stuff. I try to be helpful, open the screen door which is on a piston and position it fully open. The guy carrying it is dead tired I can see. He hits the screen door forcing it to pop out of its retainer. No problem I think. He then puts it in the spare bedroom and leaves. I then discovered that the bracket is damaged holding the piston in place. They call to see if i got it, yes but damage to the door. They submit a claim. Should be the end of the story but they drop the ball. 10 days later I email the woman again about this claim. Oh, it got lost some how. then they offer me $40 bucks to make this go away. Piston wasn't attached and had scratched the door. Granted, they were both old and I can replace/repair what was done but it's rather insulting to say, "here, we offer you $40 bucks." That's enough for the piston or more. touch up on the door will be a little time consuming but I'm tired of spending time on the phone and writing emails. I buy the thing with 24 months zero interest. I was smart enough to put it on auto pay so I wouldn't accidentally miss a payment and they may have had some gotcha clause way down in the fine print. Oh, mattress sleeps fine. I have little faith in that ten-year warranty that comes with it but it's the delivery that ruins this store. Now, the store is just a show room. You can't buy something and take it home. Maybe you can go to a warehouse somewhere and avoid the delivery fees but I kind of think that's part of their business model. No one should be told after they signed on the dotted line delivery starts at 7 am and ends at 10 pm. read more

FIRST AND LAST PURCHASE WITH R2G!!!! I found a dining room set that I thought was unique in the store, I considered not purchasing it because I realize you get what you pay for! A few months later I decided against my better judgement to order it online. The first delivery attempt was canceled "due to the driver having an emergency"! On the second attempt it was delayed due to another "driver emergency" the delivery showed up the next day and they didn't have my chairs on the truck. The third delivery attempt (chairs) arrived a couple days later and the chairs' screws were stripped and were not put together well and the bench had a whole in the leg. The fifth delivery attempt arrived now a week later and the bench is damaged again!!! The customer service reps asks if I would like to have another one delivered and I said "NO" I would just like to be compensated as I am tired of dealing with them! She comes back and says they can only take $20 off!!!!! You have got to be kidding me!!!! I will NEVER buy anything else from this company and unless you don't care about quality, I'd recommend you not waste your time or money either!! You quote someone a time and date, even send a text message to confirm a delivery and then within minutes of approaching deadline for the delivery someone from customer care calls you to let you know that your scheduled delivery either has to come in from 3-7pm or it needs rescheduling because the driver had issues. I scheduled my delivery time and date on 3/1/17. Today, 3/8 I have been waiting all day for my delivery and to know that it will not come because the driver had issues. Then I have a question? Why would you schedule a date and time if no one can meet it. Then, I called their customer care and they told me that was nothing set on stone because their deliveries run from 7am till 10pm. Who does that? 10pm? I have 3 small girls which I have to put to bed and not considering that it's a school night. This is the worse experience ever. Sold me a broken bed, there men tried to fix it twice but couldnt. Slept on this broken bed for two months, which I paid a full price for. So yesterday they sent me a different box spring but no slats, leaving my bed on the floor. The delivery man wouldn't put my original bed back in. Left my house with the bed all undone, leaving the mattress literally on the floor. Watch out for these people, will take your money with a smile on their face, but never return your phone calls. Where do I start?? Well let's start with a bit of positive... KAS the exceptional sales person was fantastic in helping us with our new furniture selection. We bought our sectional on a Sunday and had it scheduled for delivery the following Saturday. We get a text on Friday saying our furniture will be delivered between 10am and 2pm on Saturday. Great.. we get our furniture moved out of the house on Saturday morning by 8am. They told us when we bought our furniture to have the old furniture out of the way so the set up crew can come in and set up our new furniture. Saturday comes, the hours tick by... 2pm and nothing... No call no furniture... so WE CALL, not they call, and are told that the crew is finishing up on a stop and will be at our house next. Great!! Well once again 3pm comes 4pm comes and all of a sudden we get a call from a dispatcher saying that we need to reschedule our delivery..... uhhhhhh NO!! My wife stated that will not work since we have already gotten rid of our furniture and have nothing but carpet in our living area!! The dispatcher put us on hold for 35 minutes.. during this time I call the store and speak with a nice lady and I explain what's going on. She says she will pass it on to her manager Scott. I tell her to please have Scott call me back or I will be at the store tonight if I don't hear anything within an hour. Back to my wife on hold... a guy comes over the phone a says thank you for calling Rooms To Go how may I help you... by this time my wife and I are getting upset. She explained that she did not call them that they called us. We explain what is going on. We go back and forth and finally the guy says that one of the delivery drivers got hurt... ( now if you kind people reading this will go back and look at other reviews like I should have, you will see this is a recurring theme) my wife asks the guy where our furniture is... the guy says he doesn't know... we NEED furniture. We are extremely sorry that someone got hurt if they did. At this point we want to know where our furniture is. We ask for a manager and the guy reluctantly passes us onto on. The manager states that he doesn't know where our furniture is and that we would have to reschedule for the next Saturday delivery... see they only deliver our area on Wednesday and Saturday we live in Milledgeville 45 minutes away from the store. They couldn't deliver on Wednesday cause it would be too soon to get the furniture off the truck and onto another truck.... Well in the truck we get to ride allllll the way to Macon from Milledgeville in the rain... when we get to the store we are met by a very rude Scott who still hasn't called back. I demand to know where my furniture is. Scott DOES do his best to find it. I tell Scott I need to know where my furniture is, or my family and I need to move into the store until my furniture gets delivered, because we DO NOT have anywhere to sit in our house, because we held up to our end of the deal and had our furniture out of the house. We threaten to cancel the sale but Scott says that we can not get our money back for 7-14 days... well heck I need the money to buy furniture from another store.. and my wife really really really loved this sectional, so Scott says to just go home cause we aren't getting anywhere. Scott says he will call me back tonight if he locates the furniture and I said if you find it I want it... I WILL COME GET IT!!! Scott held up his promise and did call me that night and said they still had not located our furniture, but he was going to put all the information on his Boss' Gary desk and will let Gary know that I want my furniture that I paid for, that I paid a delivery and setup fee, that WAS NOT delivered. Fast forward to Sunday at 2pm. My family and I are walking into the movie theatre. See we don't have any furniture to sit on in our house, Because the sectional that we bought and paid for, and paid to be delivered and set up on Saturday is missing, so I have to go to the movies to have somewhere to sit down and watch something......Gary calls and says that he has located our furniture.. make a long story short we went and got our furniture from the store off the asphalt. Gary said he would call me the next day after I asked him what we were going to do about this... he said he would reimburse the delivery fee. I naturally said DUhhh.. Gary was very apologetic. He was extremely nice. I will give him that. I asked Gary what else RTG is going to do.. he said he would get with his District Manager on Monday and call me... Well I am a rational person, it is Thursday night now, I have received NO reimbursement for the delivery fee nor have I heard anything from Gary... good luck to you if you choose RTG.... I waited two months for furniture. When It finally came the driver told us we hadnt paid the fee for them to take it upstairs. I didn't know there was a fee I thought delivery was free but, whatever, I said: "Fine you know I'll pay whatever it is but I need you guys to move this upstairs." and he said that he was going to call the manager. He said he talked to the manager and the manager said that it was a doorway delivery only. But then the driver said I can just pay him directly: "how much do you have on you?" ...were his exact words.......So this guy wants me to bribe him to do work under the table. If he got hurt or damaged my house I would be on the hook for it. I refused and I told him that I would pay the store and so he drove off with my furniture while I was on hold with rooms to go customer service. I drove to the store while still on hold and told the manager what had happened and the manager could not possibly have cared less. So I don't have furniture, I don't have the 5,000 plus dollars I paid them already two months ago and their customer service doesn't answer the phone. I was still on hold with customer service the whole time I was talking to the manager and even when I left the store. I gave up after 45 minutes. They have 30 people sitting around in the store to do sales but they can't afford to hire anyone to do customer service. More than anything, I was absolutely stunned at how little the manager cared that his driver was trying to scam both me and also scam "Rooms to Go" by making an under the table deal. read more

I am COMPLETLY dissatisfied with Rooms to Go. We have been going around about furniture for about 3 months. The first sofa set, they couldn't figure out how to get it in the house. Went back and picked out a different sofa set and counter top kitchen set. They were delivered around the first of October. The counter top table was damaged. It took them 2 weeks to come and get it. Got here to exchange the table and could not get it apart because the original delivery guy stripped the screws when he put it together. Spoke to store manager Scott and customer service, who both assured me that someone would call before the weekend was out...no call until the service call about delivery time and date. Well today is the delivery date. I wasn't even mad about the time, because they bamboozled me the last time they tried to come out and had me miss dr.s appts and the whole 9. They said between 1 and 5 for this delivery time...They got here right at 5. Delivery guy comes in with an ALLEN WRENCH to take apart an already stripped table. Not only that, but the supposedly new table they brought was also damaged. WTF?! Spoke again to Scott the manager who kept informing me that he was in the store and he would have someone call before the weekend was out...I'll wait on it. I have completely lost faith in this company to deliver quality and service. I cannot blame the delivery people because they are only delivering, not packing the truck. This bad service starts at the warehouse and just trickles on down. I am dissatisfied and dissapointed because the sales guy was decent. I wouldn't recommend RTG to furnish a clubhouse. You are an untrustworthy company and I will not only be doing a Google review, I will also be filing a complaint with the BBB and your corporate office in Florida. My in-store customer service experience with Rooms 2 Go was superb, but the after the sale customer service was simply horrendous. First of all, my delivery was scheduled to arrive between 1p and 5p before receving a call at 2p that the delivery had been rescheduled to arrive between 6p and 10p - nevermind the fact that most of our Saturday was consumed by poor scheduling. When an attempt was made to convey our frustrations with the R2G dispatcher (James), he ended the phone called in the middle of the conversation. I called back and spoke with his delivery manager (Joel) who promised to investigate and call me back - nothing! Secondly, once the furniture delivered, the accessories for the love seat were missing. The delivery team advised that I would be contacted by Rooms 2 Go customer service personnel after the delivery and the accessories would be overnighted the next day. Well, there was no follow up and the accessories have not been delivered 5 days later. One might expect that a company the size of this one would have excellent customer service in every aspect of the business, though after reading other reviews, here and elsewhere, that is certainly not the case. I am willing to pay more for customer service, especially after the sell customer service. So with that in mind, I will not be patronizing this company again until they remedy the poor and pervasive after the sell service. Money does talk, so I will stop spending money with R2G until the start to place their customers first. R2G reminds me of another business that operated in such a manner. What should have been an easy experience , was anything but that! Purchased a coffee table a few days before Memorial Day due to a sale . Was told coffee table was in stock would be delivered the following week, Then during the payment process we were told that in fact the were out and it would be July 2 before it would be back in stock. So our delivery date was set for the 2nd. Got a couple phone calls and text from RTG a few days prior confirming delivery between 1-5 Of course that afternoon it was moved to 7to 9 pm that evening The table was finally delivered at 9:00 the night of the 2nd, only it apparently had ben dropped because the corner was scratched and split SOOO they left it, reordered, to be delivered on the following Saturday-July13. Again got confirmation that it was to be delivered between 1 and 5, until phone rang at 10 minutes til 8 telling us they were sorry but they would deliver on Sunday instead, No reason given for the change My husband and myself both had to call the store where they located our table in a delivery trailer in the back parking lot of store Said they'd bring it Monday We told them we'd waited long enough and didn't want to hear another excuse as to why we wouldn't get our table. We went and picked up our table and brought it home! Of course they won't refund the delivery fee ! I will say the store associates and manager were friendly and nice , But someone needs to clean house with their customer service people especially the ones that set the times for deliveries They will send you over to customer service if you call and be prepared to be hold at least 30 minutes Moral of the story- Never again! read more

So I went ahead and contacted them ,the persons they sent out to see what had happened to the sectional told me yes yes they saw what I was complaining about and it was a problem . No one from their customer service give a courtesy call to say what the verdict was . When I finally contacted them oh boy was I in for a treat . I began speaking with a customer service rep that made me feel like my money wasn't ish and my business was worthless. He was very impolite and rude I couldnt even get a word in . He made it clear that I was making this color change up and they were not going to do anything about it. However during our conversation he said that the person who did the inspection did report that the sofa color appeared darkdarin color . From beige to dark in color . I am a single travel nurse no one sits I'm my sofa for weeks . I asked to speak to his supervisor on many occasions during our call he refused a couple of times. At one point he even told me to get my sofa professionally cleaned and send them the BILLfinally transferred me to her ..... well was I in for a treat she was worst than him. I was begging her a favor it sounded like . She then told me the chair looked like that because of the reflection from my flooring. At the end I was a liar and a customer that had to right to call and make any complaints . I should have just shut up and deal with the horrible product that was sold to me .
