When I got there, and he saw the base had a Threaded Coupling, vs a Threaded Rod, he actually started apologizing right then. He said, The company who made this lamp is out of business. And, I've been trying to find threaded couplings without success (he even took me in the back work room, and showed me another lamp that has the same problem. He also showed me a new lamp whose rod was slightly angled, and when assembled, would be leaning slightly). While we talked about alternatives (welding, gluing, or buying a new lamp), I found that he really knew his business. So, even though he was unable to fix it, I wouldn't hesitate to refer you to him.

We've chosen to pull the room together slowly, which, with a little legwork, is letting me buy some of the items as they go on sale.
