This place has declined significantly. I used to always be able to get in to see my doctor or…read moreanother doctor and now that never happens. I get shuffled to an NP or PA which is fine but they usually have an attitude and if that's who I"m going to see then why have a doctor in this practice? I get much better results from Medcheck. Furthermore, the LPNs who take the calls are RUDE. I do not need a lecture how to manage my child's care when those directions come from a specialist! We love our doctor who we never get to see except on yearly visits. It's time to change.

I've been visiting Olio Road Family Care for quite a few years now thanks to the recommendation of…read morea friend. If my regular doctor isn't available, I've found all the physicians on staff are just great! I've seen Dr. Gish, Dr. Kizer, and Dr. Nader. This practice is in the Community network, and I really like their MyChart/eCommunity feature. It is so easy to communicate with the office, make appointments, check test results, and look at your health records. They now do eVisits so you don't even have to come in for certain things! As I mentioned in my recent tip, the check-in kiosk at the office is usually not working so you just check in at the desk. (I think they've given up on it. It's worked like twice in the years I've been going.) They have a tea/coffee station and also a water station on the other side of the room. My advice is to get an early morning appointment. If you don't, you may have to wait a little bit since the practice does tend to center around pediatrics/families. This is a really good practice, and they've always taken care of my needs.

Im giving this ER location 3 stars because of how great the rest of staff was but LPN Annette has…read moregot to have the worst bedside manner I have ever dealt with and if I went off my experience with her, you would receive zero stars. We brought my father up to the ER because of severe stomach pain and even though he wanted to wait my sister and I were adamant he should not. The wait in the ER was very quick in the lobby which was great but once we started dealing with LPN Annette there was nothing great about the service. She was asking questions and because we told her he had seen a doctor the day before she said "well I don't know what you want us to do". Now keep in mind she is not taking ANY notes, but thankfully the other student nurse in the room was. I informed her of issues my father previously had and she told me she didn't see why we were there as we saw a Dr yesterday. Needless to say I left the room because I wasn't going to have anything nice to say to LPN Annette and went to swap places with my sister. Thankfully the ER Dr didn't listen to Annette who wanted to discharge my father and listened to me and my sister. They sent my father in for scans and found out he was having a diverticulitis flare up and needed antibiotics asap. We shouldn't have had to work so hard for the ER Dr come in but based on what LPN Annette felt out needs were SHE decided we didn't need anything and needed to be discharged. And her lack of bedside manners was not limited to us. While sitting out in the lobby while my father was getting lab work and scans done, LPN Annette brought out another patient in a wheelchair chair who had falling hazard band around his wrist. I watched as this man with no shoes on, no balance, wobble HIMSELF into a chair while Annette just stood there and did nothing. This man's attitude didn't seem the best but if he would've fallen in that lobby it definitely would have been her fault considering he had a fall hazard bracelet on. He was asking for water and she didn't even acknowledge him, just told him he needed to stop trying to get out of his chair and then just walked away and left him. I'm sayin go all this to say LPN Annette needs to retake some classes on bedside manners and maybe some listening classes as well. If you come to this ER and she comes out, I personally would ask to work with someone else.

In the past…read moreI had either been afraid to bring up too many things with my Doctor in fear of additional bills or I would bring them up and then have sticker shock at what a conversation about something as simple as a bee sting cost me. The business model at Fishers Direct Family Care is just different and allowed me to have an amazingly proactive conversation with my doctor without having to worry about any extra bills. I also love the convenience of knowing i can contact the office at any time for a consult that is all part of the annual fee. No more worrying if I should call or not call! Thank you Dr. Patel!
