I called for their assistance in handling the care for my sister who was living in Michigan City. They were helpful in moving her from another county and doing a good job with cremation. The people are nice, but I found communication somewhat difficult. For example, I wrote an email, I spoke directly in person to the director, and then I got a call from another manager two days before her celebration of life, asking about the paper materials that I thought I had resolved at least a week earlier. I guess I can't expect the same personalized experiences that I've had for many years with the original owners. It is unfortunate. And in any interaction with a funeral home it is difficult to anticipate expenses. I highly recommend planning in advance and not leaving this to family members!

They were very rushy-rushy. Not compassionate at all (very insincere) My grandmother wanted her…read morehusband's to have only a visitation and for it to be held on Tuesday. But they pushed her into having a visitation on Sunday AND a service on a Monday. They rushed the service (which was really short to begin with). I thought maybe they needed to prepare for another service, but when we stopped by 2 hours later to pick up our items, the place was dead (no pun intended). There were many very nice, laminated bookmarks, and cards made in my grandfather's memory...but they were not distributed at all during the service or visitation. We had to provide our own snacks for the visitation, which we had to keep downstairs (where they needed to stay). Not very handy for the handicapped. On the good side, they did a great job making my grandfather look sharp and they made a DVD out of the photos we had on a flash drive. This place is not what it used to be.
