Unfortunately, I didn't have the best experience with this chiropractor. My first and only time…read moreseeing him I noticed he was very rough with his adjustments, especially on my neck. Which I immediately brought to his attention that it hurt and he dismissed me and proceeded to tell me that it was normal. Thinking I could trust his word I went on two weeks with severe head and neck pain that no medication would help. It took me to truly advocate for myself at the hospital to discover both of my vertebral arteries had been dissected and had caused a TIA. My left vertebral artery was 90% closed off and my right was 75% closed off and maybe hours or a day away from a massive stroke or brain damage according to the U of U neurologist. When I was discharged from the hospital I called Dr. Fitzgerald to explain what happened, he showed no remorse or empathy and told me good luck with everything, no apology...nothing. After spending a week in a critical care stroke unit not being able to eat or drink for days, test after test, and in complete pain, that was a slap in the face. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone, or neck manipulations from any chiropractor in general. I didn't know the risks, so I'm sharing my story to let others know the risks and so hopefully someone else never has to go through what I did and still have to go through on my bad days when my symptoms decide to act up which can be debilitating for days. My life has been forever changed.
