During our visit, I was told that both of my children needed to be seen four times per week. When I asked for the reasoning behind this recommendation, the doctor responded by repeating my own words back to me, saying that if I "want my children to be healthy, that's what it would take." This felt inappropriate, especially since my children have had no injuries, accidents, or existing health concerns. I also noticed that whenever I asked questions, my own words were often repeated back to me in a way that felt dismissive and manipulative. It was framed as though I wouldn't improve or would remain unwell unless I saw him frequently and only used the specific providers and testing he recommended, regardless of their redundancy. This gave me the impression that the focus was more on maintaining ongoing payments and referrals than on genuinely helping patients. I was also advised to get X-rays, but was told I could only go to a specific university facility located about 45 minutes away. The office was reluctant to provide details and instead wanted to schedule the appointment on my behalf and would even watch my kids at their office while I went for the x-rays. While that might be helpful in some situations, it did not work for me. I was also informed that the visit would cost $150 and would not be covered by insurance. When I said I preferred to go somewhere in-network, the doctor became upset and insisted that if I wanted to improve and for him to do his job, I needed to go where he recommended and pay out of pocket, because he personally trusted that facility. This raised concerns for me, so I declined the X-rays and asked whether he would still be willing to treat me without them. I was told to come into the office to discuss it. Not wanting to waste time, I hesitated, but ultimately went. During that visit, the doctor became visibly angry, raised his voice, and even pounded his fists on the table while insisting he could not proceed without the X-rays. At that point, I chose to leave. I had additional testing pending and asked if I could receive results virtually, explaining that I did not feel comfortable returning to the office with my children or myself. I was told that this behavior was just part of the doctor's personality and that other patients accepted it that way. I did not share that perspective. While I will say that the adjustments themselves were effective, the overall experience felt uncomfortable and, at times, coercive. Being encouraged to commit to frequent visits, expensive out-of-pocket testing, and specific providers without flexibility or clear justification did not feel reasonable to me.

Dr. Kurt fully informed me of what to expect with the dry needling (I'd feel the needle but would not be painful, the needle would cause the muscle to spasm and then relax). After going a few months, once per week for dry needling my issue significantly decreased. Not only is Dr. Kurt very professional and knowledgeable, but he also treated me with extreme respect. He knew I was nervous, and he spent whatever time was needed to answer my many questions. Also, Dr. Kurt was different than the neurologist and orthopedic doctors I've seen. Dr. Kurt actually wanted to help me get to the root cause of my issue. He asked me questions that no other doctor asked, such as how my stress level and stress triggers are. When I first got plantar fasciitis it was on 1 foot and I went to my primary because I could barely walk and she sent me to a physical therapist. They gave me a lot of exercises to do everytime I went and it didnt help infact my knee started to hurt and then by limping I got plantar fasciitis on both feet. For months I just rested on the couch thinking that would help. I went to Dr Greg and he had a plan for me and made it simple for me to remember only a few exercise he really knows his stuff and me. He did more therapy on my foot then the physical therapist I went to. He was able to get me pain free. I have to be honest therapy on the foot is uncomfortable when your in pain. I think I almost kicked him a few times but he didn't mind. I still do 1 of the exercises to stretch my arches. I feel that plantar fasciitis might come back if I I stand to long on my feet if it does I will know were to go. Definitely to Dr Greg also he is professional, super nice, friendly & has a fun sense of humor.
