I had a gorgeous little homemade shortcrust pastry steak, stilton & mushroom pie with fat chips and a large side plate of veg from the standard menu. All were VERY well cooked and full of flavour. The pie pastry was perfect! My wife had a gorgeously juicy, big, thick Barnsley chop from the specials menu. Again, it was perfectly cooked and came with nicely designed bacon wrapped bushell of French beans. We will definitely be back!

It's great to sit outside in the summer and watch a game of cricket, get house envy or watch the cows eating the grass. There is a campsite out back as well and the field is also used for other events such as Old Car Rallies. Inside there is a restaurant area to the left and a lounge area to the right with an unusual vaulted ceiling. Food is good value and down to earth with light bites around £7.00 (these are just enough for a decent meal with dessert - the bigger dishes are huge!!!) I always enjoy trying out the guest ales which are described on a board near the bar. All in all it's a great place for a summer afternoon's drinking or a relaxing meal which everyone in the family will enjoy.

Mind you, the interesting thing was that a number of bikies rocked up when I was here, so yeah, it seems to be a very English thing that one of the oldest pubs ends up being a bikie bar. Still, it is pretty cool pub.

It is a small traditional pub which has a limited amount of seating. The landlady/landlord are very friendly and very professional. Above the pub is a restaurant called the Grillroom. I have never eaten in the restaurant although I have intended to on a couple of occasions. The restaurant is closed on Monday's. I understand from friends that the restaurant is very good. I enjoy drinking in this pub for it's local charm. I believe it is the best pub in Bingham. It is just a shame that there is no beer garden
