    Rose City Reads in solidarity.

Rose City Reads is a quaint, friendly bookstore with an amazing selection of books at an incredible price! The staff are friendly and super helpful. I loved observing kiddos find treasures and excitedly move from one shelf to the next. The store is small and intimate, so you don't feel overwhelmed or have to hunt someone down for help, and it's right in the neighborhood, so it's great for biking or walking over.

This was my first time checking out Rose City Reads and I found a ton of great books! I found some non-fiction, graphic novels, and fiction books and given the low prices was able to get 13 books for around $50 many of which retailed far greater than that. The gender studies/women's studies in particular had some great books to choose from. They even had zines for sale which I thought was pretty neat. The main thing I wish had been a bit better was the selection of both graphic novels and horror books. Both of these sections were in other sections - the horror section was simply blended into the mystery/sci-fi/fantasy sections and graphic novels were mostly in YA and in displays. For ease of use having those separate could be helpful and graphic novels could even pretty easily be paired with zines too. Horror books I found very few of though some were on displays but the blended section I mention above mostly had Star Wars books and sci-fi books which was not what I was searching for. That being said I'd definitely stop in again to see what new finds end up here and I love that it all goes to a great cause - the Multnomah county libraries

The vibe is welcoming. The shelves are stocked with books and media of all types. And all money raised goes back to the public library.

This massive bookstore has an incredible selection, with something for every type of reader. I could easily spend hours exploring every corner. One of the highlights is the Rare Book Room, it's fascinating to see these book treasures up close. They even have a copy of The Journals of Lewis and Clark valued at $350K! It's like stepping into a small museum for me. The staff members were friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to help. The entire store has a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes me want to stay longer. highly recommend stopping by. It's one of the places that makes you appreciate the joy of books.

Aisles and aisles of novels, graphic and otherwise provide for endless amount of time looking over their inventory if you so desire. Personally, I also like looking through what I'd call their impulse buys. Stickers, clothing, tote bags and other assorted "gifts". They have a ton of stuff to choose from and all unique and not mass produced. So take some time while visiting or otherwise and stroll through this piece of history and celebrate its independence!

My Son led me here last weekend when I was in town. There was lots of notebooks, pens, and other stuff to consider, and having a Kinokuniya membership (10% off) was a bonus. David was more interested in the manga books, and we were happy browsing in our own little corners. We both happily came away with a small collection of treasures and a promise to return. There were lots of folks here, making the aisles a little tight. But checkout moved quickly and efficiently.

The store is much larger than the one in Chicago! So of course there was a much wider selection of goods, including a lot more Alien Stage items (know the teens are a fan of this show). We ended up signing up for the annual membership which gives you 10% off your purchase immediately and you rack up points (who doesn't love points) which will add up to more savings. We purchased a hard to find art book. Service was friendly, and answered all the questions we had on the membership, not rushing us at all to make the decision.
